Basically, in the very first conversation with Liara, she asks if I still want to pursue a thing with her or not. I'm a little vexed by this because I don't even know all of the romance options yet, and it is just thrown at me right away.

My question is, does my answer to her in the first conversation have any concrete effects? Will I be able to pursue other options if I tell her I'm interested? Will I be able to pursue her later if I tell her I'm not?

Just seems really early in the game to toss out that question and not have a middle ground option :/

Saying yes in that conversation doesn't close off other romances.
