To their credit Xbox tweet fleet had several suggestions(none of them worked) but they did offer suggustions and were very quick to do so.
EA on the other hand are offering an email every other day(if that) and are now ignoring my emails.
I can't believe that the community identified a fault and a fix yet neither Xbox, Bioware or EA seem to care.
I have been a long time supporter of Bioware but if I can't even play the game I wonder if it's time to just put Bioware on the pile of Developers killed by EA.

IMO this is a major reason why EA won that "Most Hated" award. It has always seemed like when EA got their hooks into a dev things went downhill, they started nickel and diming for DLC, and a lot of EA's own franchises have gotten stagnant or changed what made them good in the first place. I don't know how much of this particular we can blame on EA but I'd think that they could lend their "expertise" to their developers and help fix problems like this.

It seems this issue is more complex blah blah blah, I am escalating it to a higher tier.
I have asked for an ETA and cited that the issue has been ongoing since release.
If Bioware and Microsoft cannot do the fix then I will have to do the fix myself. I've played by their rules thus far and gotten nowhere.

Here's why I think this problem hasn't been fixed and will never be: achievements. Sony and Microsoft take these imaginary e-badges extremely seriously, and the only way to fix the BSoD is to delete the corrupted settings data values within one's profile. In order to fix this via a patch, BW would have to make every user download and apply it, due to the nature of its distribution system (presuming that a simple patch could both fix everything and prevent it from ever happening again--something I seriously doubt). A side effect of this fix is losing all progress for achievements, the data for which is stored by BW, in their infinite wisdom, in the corrupted directory. Think of how bad EA/BW's press is now, then add every twelve-year-old who just lost progress for the Insanity missions achievement and doesn't care to know why. (This is assuming Sony and MS would even approve of a patch modifying these files, another thing to seriously doubt.) In addition to the technical problems involved, fixing this issue opens the door to even more bad PR, which results in fewer subsequent sales. EA/BW has obviously chosen to cut their losses and run, ignoring the relatively few of us afflicted, often multiple times, with the bug of their own design. This is a business decision, pure and simple. They stand to lose less by not helping us than they do by helping us.
Of course, we might be able to change that.

they could always release it as a free DLC that only those affected would download, and if someone else downloaded it, it would be because they did not read the description and are therefore too stupid for us to care about.Hyperionyht wrote...
Just got the Black Hole for the second time. Checked the board to see if BW had a fix yet. Needn't have bothered. Did Resante's fix again and works beautifully. (Thanks again, you wonderful, anonymous gentleman!--the only person in existence able to make this multimillion-dollar budget game playable!)

That's what they did for the Grissom Academy bug that affected Italian copies of ME3.Shepard Cmdr wrote...

Has anyone here who has the black hole NOT played the Demo?
I have played the Demo and I have it. He has not played the Demo and he doesn't have it. (and I hate him for it!)
When I got the Black hole about a two months after the game came out. I called Xbox. I spent about 3hrs and several days with them trying every thing they could think of to fix it...They directed me to EA. The first guy spent about a half hour "looking up information about this problem" He then tried to tell me to do the same things that Xbox support told me to try.... When that didn't work he hung up on me!!!!! I waited like an idiot thinking that maybe we were just disconnected. I called back after a half hour and got a different guy who told me that they knew about the problem and that they were working on it (was that really so hard to tell me?). I still can't believe that the first guy hung up on me!!! What great customer support! I want to play the game but I don't want to mess with my profile. I even got high speed internet and Xbox gold just for this game! What a good investment that turned out to be.
