They have known about our black hole for 2 months now, and Resante created his fix at almost the same time. they do not give 2 fvks about fixing our glitch.L3TH4LR3M3DY wrote...

I am having problems with the black screen of death after the credits roll and I get the data pad informing me about how Shepard is a legend now, and so forth. Shortly after you expect to see Shepard back on the ship before the end game mission again, but hold the phone I can't because i get the Black Screen of Death after I get the data pad. I was having this problem weeks before the Extended Scenes DLC. I have tried many things as well, and still nothing seems to fix this. I have no problem loading the game I just have it after I beat the game. This is very weird and hopefully someone has found a solution on EA/Bioware's side.
I've done this and many other tips. I spoke with an EA representative, and he said that Bioware is working on a patch for BOTH Black Screens that occur on Start-Up and after the End Game Credits roll. They want all of us to give specific details on exactly what we incounter before the Black Screen. They said it has to do with the DRM of either Mass Effect 3 or XBOX 360 itself. They are aware of the situation and are working to produce a patch for the 360 asap. This patch will address both Start-Up and End game Black Screens. Just saying that this problem is similar to them as I am not the only one with either Start-Up BlkSoD or END GAME BlkSoD.

no problem, we have to help each other, as EA never will.

Bioware/EA has completely failed to fix this. Yes, Resante's 'fix' does work, but it doesn't prevent it from happening over and over, with no way to tell when it might happen next (not that you could tell if it was going to happen in the first place). But it isn't a solution; it's a makeshift crutch at best.
(No offense meant Resante, you did what Bioware refuses to do.)
The complete lack of communication from Bioware regarding anything about this issue tells me (as it should tell everyone) that they have no idea what the f**k is wrong or how to fix it.
Putting aside the fact that the endings sucked and the new ending content seemed pretty half-assed, I will NEVER buy another Bioware game. I don't care if it comes with a bar of gold bullion. Your complete lack of caring and updates regarding this issue has reassured me that this kind of issue (or similar issue) will pop up in any other game you make and you will do just as little to try and fix it.
I want my $80 back, plain and simple. I should have done this from the very start, but I wanted to give you a chance to fix this. I won't prop up your bad business model any longer.
Since I still have a open ticket on this issue, I just requested a refund for this junk.
Does anyone know where the pit with all the ET games in it is located, because Mass Effect 3 belongs in the same pit.

Thats a part of the same problem. (trying to sign in on the title screen) You'll need to do the fix as well. I feel you. Don't be worried, its not too hard to perform. counter-based achievements get reset but at that point in time I could care less. I was just glad to play ME3 again.
And I fixed mine in March.. lol. Like a week after launch.

Now, I realize BW has a tougher task than I did because they have to figure out WHY this is happening, fix the roots of the problem, then attempt to fix the profiles of the gamers in the black hole (and attempt to do it without resetting stats). I get that. What I DON'T get is the lack of communication and updates, even if they have 1 guy sitting in a closet working on this they could have him check in with us periodically, and tell him to update BW / EA customer support with the fact that this is a known issue. They're probably still telling people to delete their gamesaves and pretending this problem doesn't really exist.
Personally I have stopped playing ME3 except for the MP events, but I still read the forum. The whole situation is outrageous and I hope at least 1 person at BW is ashamed this has gotten to this point. We might seem like a bunch of whiny gamers but people paid good money for this game and can't even play it. Screw the endings, I downloaded Extended Cut but haven't touched single player in months.

I feel the same way a lot of you do, that we shouldn't have a mess around with the game to get it to work. I wanted to play the game I paid for so I was willing to investigate it knowing full well if a patch ever materialized it wouldn't be out for a long time... luckily we found out what the problem was.

Good to see you again commander hulett, I mean Resante lol. Your rational voice is welcome. Hell I couldn't play without contacting you back then. Whew...
Yeah I don't do ME3 much now. MP gets repetitive, got bored. Did the EC few times. But went back to Skyrim after. No MP in it so I play those types of games offline sometimes to enjoy peacefully.
I agree about the communication, lack of. Odd. As for me I follow the story forum more. Don't read MP board.

Did you buy the BF Premium? I hear its such a good deal, and many people already bought it. Includes ALL DLC so far right? Just for a one time fee?
I saw this. Good to hear, better than COD. F-ing hate that series now... Lol.

I don't have premium, I don't think I will want all of the DLC. I loved COD Black Ops but knew MW3 was going to be more MW2 so i passed. I'll probably pass on Black Ops 2 as well. If they come out with an original COD game I might try it again. There is just so much more to do in Battlefield that it is hard for me to go back to a plain shooter.

All the CoDs have essentially been the same game over and over under a slightly different name. Same basic story, same basic gameplay, same graphics engine since CoD2... Just my opinion though.Resante wrote...

Don't get me wrong, Black Ops was the only one that wasn't essentially the same story with minor alterations. It was great game and, for anyone who knows what our (the US) government did during the Cold War, it is quite fitting.
Bushido, if you liked the beta, you missed out on what was a good game. Now Battlefield has been patched into a CoD fanboy clone. No skill required.Bushido Effect wrote...

I am a Battlefield vet. who has played all of the Battlefield games (2142 was the best imo). Battlefield used to be about teamwork and the skilled thriving over the weak. Not so much anymore. Might be a different story if you bought it for PC, which is what I should have done, since the 360 version is just filled with CoD fanboys and lone wolfs.
And yea, the premium package is a nice deal if you were looking to get it as you get ALL the dlc for BF3, past, present, and future.

I prefer the large maps too, and game modes like conquest, assault conquest, and sometimes rush (for BF3, when I played it).Bushido Effect wrote...
If you say so. Depends on modes imo. there are good and bad players for every game. The big maps and modes are my fav.
Now if your talking about 2142 then it was Titan all day long, with a side of conquest.
Don't get me wrong Bushido, BF3 was a fun game until DICE decided to detract everything fun out of it. You can't sit back and MAV your enemies to death anymore whilst providing enemy positions and being a deadly distraction to the enemy team. Air combat was dumbed down so much as to that its pointless. Their constant flip flopping of decisions is agrevating at best.
ie - First only mines persisted after death, then it was changed to include claymores, then stupidly C4 (suicide runs up to tanks to place it, detenate after respawn). Then changed so nothing did, then mines etc.
Their stat allocation for weapons is even fked. Slugs do next to no dmg and are inaccurate as if you were using a musket rifle. Vert foregrips control horizontal recoil (side to side) and not vertical recoil (up and down). Suppressed belt fed LMGs, lulz. MG36 only has 50 rounds, yet it always uses a 100 round magazine (they also removed extened mags for it, which allowed it to have 100 rounds).
But don't let me scare you from the game, you might still enjoy it. I'm just an original BF vet that has watched the series slowly kill itself with BF3 and is dissapointed.

Also, they had shotguns down pat in BFBC2, don't know why they needed to mess with them.
As for straight up 1942 didn't care for it much, but i did enjoy the Secret Weapons expansion.
Didn't care much for BF:Vietnam either.
It is a shame the Longbow is excluded from most games now, but the Zulu isn't bad either.
The one thing that I miss from 1942 is that you could fly bombers, and devastate enemy forces with it.
Gotta say though, I do miss the old days of BF3's badass motherfkery.
