And this is the first bioware game I've ever had this kind of issue with, past games have been buggy yeah but what game isn't? At least someone made a fix for it and we can play it, idk I'm not going to let it ruin potential future games for me, and I'm really just talkin to myself here, I'm not trying to change anyones opinions lol

That said, ME3 is the only 360 game I've ever had this happen to. And I've played many games over several years. Pretty unacceptable considering its 2012, and ME3 is a late-generation game. Not some launch title on the 360 with unfamiliar developers. Boggles my mind.
Side note, I'm going back to SONY for next gen next year. Sick of my stupid Xbox and Microsoft in general. PS4 Here I Come!! Still own a original PS2 myself.

I'm with Bushido on this one. BioWare has shown us that they have no intention of ever resolving this issue. It is up to those affected by the glitch to fix BioWare's mistake.Bushido Effect wrote...
Do the fix for now, Sim. I blacked out in MARCH. just 2 weeks after launch. I was furious at the time. Good thing we met Resante.
Can't say I'm too thrilled about the PS4 considering my current lack of enthusiasm for my PS3. I may not be too fond of some of MS's business practices but overall I'm more satisfied with my Xbox 360 than I am with my PS3 (the only things I use it for are Blu-Rays and Netflix). As such I'll probably be going with the "Xbox 720" next-gen and skipping the PS4 unless Sony really does something that wows me.Bushido Effect wrote...

But the thing I hate most is that I have to pay a fee for Gold, just to play MP in my games that I already paid for online. PS3 has been free online play since day 1. And Yes it works just fine. ME3 included. Obviously EA servers are to blame for the bad connections/disconnects on all 3 platforms for this game though.
I'm assuming 720 will do the same thing, charge you for Gold for 1, 3, 12 months. At least this time it'll have a Bluray drive so you can use that for games and movies all in one. My PS2 collection is actually bigger than my 360's, I expect to do the same when PS4 (or whatever) comes along.

Why won't you enjoy your ps3 more? Don't like any games? Sony has arguably the best exclusives compared to 360. Xbox is most popular with younger kids and the COD crap crowd. Did you play Uncharted(s), Killzone 2/3, MGS4, God of War III, and others?
I am not a fan of either console's exclusives. I've played Halo, God of War, Gears of War, Killzone, Uncharted, etc and while most of them are "good games" they just don't hold much appeal for me. My favorties this gen have been third party titles such as Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, Battlefield, VALVe games, Borderlands, etc so exclusives hold no sway with me. One of the biggest reasons why I prefer the Xbox is the controller. It is one of the most comfortable controllers I've ever used and I am easily able to quickly use it as a wireless PC controller. The PlayStation controller, on the other hand, has been despised by me since the PSX days. It has an awkward feel to it (made worse when they introduced the analog sticks in the DualShock revision and even more horrible with the new "triggers" on the DualShock 3) and my hands tend to cramp after a short amount of time.

As a gamer who started out on the PC I too find the idea of paying for multiplayer absurd (especially when most multiplayer is P2P based) but since almost 90% of my friends game on an Xbox 360 I suck it up and pay the $30 (discounted 12-month rate).
I have no doubts the 720 will do the same. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if the fee rose at some again after the 720's release.Bushido Effect wrote...

I may or may not still get a PS4 at some point. I don't like having one device for gaming, multimedia, etc because if my wife wants to watch one of her TV shows via Netflix or Hulu (she's been on a Korean drama kick lately...) I want to be able to play my video games if I choose to do so. She also likes the Gran Turismo series (even if she only plays the game for about an hour every couple months...).

We want you to get the most out of your EA games, so don't hesitate to contact us. If you decide not to respond, your case will automatically close in four days.

ºSo three days is 'a while'?
¹I never got your help to begin with so wtf makes you think I don't anymore?
The thing I don't get is that they were supposed to contact me, but since they never fufilled their side of the agreement, they're just going to close the case unless I update it and thus extend the allotted time in which they are (were?)
Is it just me or is this sh*t getting more and more convoluted?

Where do you get the discount from? I shop on Amazon alot, haven't seen it go that low. I'd love to get a 30 dollar deal. Amazon only had it at $49

A year or two ago I bought $50 worth of MSP for $30 from a guy who was also selling 12-month cards for the same price (has since "retired" from the business).
Microsoft offers a "tenure discount price" of $35 if you call in asking to cancel your subscription and have had the service for more than one or two years.
My wife is the whitest woman you'd ever met
She and one of her friends are big into anime and other asian media.

Even if you do somehow by the grace of GOD manage to get this bug fixed.. its too late! the damage is done. I hope this teaches you a lesson, but the sad truth of it is EA has grown too much for its own good. Its too big, and I believe you know it. Thats why you couldnt give a rats ass if this bug gets fixed or not. The gaming world will never survive without EA games. EA is everywhere. I wish I could boycott your games but I cant. no one can. So will will continue buying and playing your overpriced buggy games.
If you really want to impress me, then give everyone who has been affected by this bug a compensation. I would settle with 7000 MS points.
Consider that in all the years of XBOX 360 history, no game has EVER had this kind of bug. Welcome to the history books.

For some reason the phrase "undue stress and mental anguish" comes to mind...

Whatever I do, whenever "Albert De Silva" tries to play ME3 my Xbox will crash/freeze and I have to turn off my console AT THE CONSOLE (because it has crashed/froze).
I've tried various things including, signing into "Albert De Silva" during single player campaign (resulting in crash/freeze), signing in from multiplayer from another profile (resulting in crash/freeze), even signing in from a loading screem (resulting in crash/freeze).
As a result, I just made a new profile and even bought 12 months Goldfor it (even though Albert De Silva had several months Gold remaining). I had alot of multiplayer play-time on Albert De Silva, had all the weapon unlocks and characters, and only needed N7 weapons. Not to mention my ME2 import files are useless on another gamertag.

So, let me just get this straight. You guys can't play ME3 at all with a specific gamertag? If that's the case then I have exactly the same problem with my "Albert De Silva" gamertag on Xbox 360.

It is truly embarrassing to still have this going on so long after launch. Are they understaffed, incompetent, or just being forced to work elsewhere rather than fixing their muck ups? I mean, really, at this point, they could give us relatively regular updates as to how far they have progressed on making a proper fix for it at the least. Say once or twice a month. Show some respect for those of us who put food on their tables and a roof over their heads. Just a, "Hey, we're still working on it. Here is where we are generally at. No ETA at the moment but just as a show of respect for our community and those afflicted, here's an update." We just want reassurance we haven't been left to the wolves here. Is that really to much to ask?

This is exactly what we have been asking for this entire time, and as you can see all we've gotten is silence. I think they don't want to admit that they don't know what is causing the problem or how to fix it properly. If Bioware fixes the problem PROPERLY (without deleting achievement progress) and issues an apology, I'll be somewhat content. Until then I refuse to believe they are capable of fixing it. How, as a developer, can you accept the fact that people who paid for your game can't play it because of something you and your publisher are responsible for? Besides DICE is there a developer that actually got BETTER after being acquired by EA?
