Gah, just happened to me too. Had to head out, shut down the xbox, only to find when I come back I can't get to the start screen any more. not happy

In same boat as well sucks that can't play cose just got the game and was playing for 2 day befor this happen to so I really don't get it how its fine one day but bugerd the next so what's going on ther a brack down bewteen Xbox and bio or has bio lock some use out by acsadent what going on?

Does anyone know how long it takes on average for the EA Support people to respond? I just want some kind of official acknowledgement of the issue.

Reekus, to actually talk to someone not long, 20-60 minutes, but they can't help you with this problem.  So they "escalate" your issue to the "higher department" and they are supposed to contact you in 24-48 hours (time may vary on that last time frame, but your CS rep will tell you).  Considering that mine is going on 47 hours with no word from EA, I doupt I'll actually get a response from them before their deadline passes.

ff7bob, there has been no word from Bioware on this what so ever. No idea if they are working on a fix, no idea if they even care. Some of these topics about this issue have been on the forums for almost a week with no response.

It would be nice if they replied on the thread/s dedicated to the issue. Did you guys shut down normally or just press the power button mid single player game?

I typically save, back out to the main menu then turn console off. Sometimes I dashboard out first.

And yes, it would have been great if they would have replied to one of the topics dedicated to this issue instead of ignoring it. Instead I had to "hijack" the Grissom Academy one to get a reply.

There are 5 threads about this topic that I know of, and yes, I have them all open in tabs and check them regularly. And we should choose one of them to continue posting in. In order to better group everyone that has this issue into a single area.

Man...I feel bad even complaining since people have been going through this for longer. But I literally stopped playing last night at the ending - ish...to get my Galaxy At War % higher. Wake up today, play some matches, get it up. Sweet, right?

Come back 2 hours later to finish the game and nothing. Black at start. The first 5 times I was sure it was my Xbox...but no, it's not. Every other game works fine. Such a shame to have such a great experience totally interrupted with seemingly no clear response from Bioware.

Sounds like you are in a worse position than me, I was only mid way through, so at least I have another half to play when they eventually fix it. I do wonder if it is some kind of DRM glitch since it is linked to gamertags

Ok. I fixed mine. My gamerprofile was saved to my memory card (which was full). I went in, deleted out some things to make space, moved my gamerprofile to the HDD. Logged out of all my profiles, then started the game. Finally it boots to the main screen. I load a normal profile (not the one I've played before [not one associated with LIVE]). Ensure I can get into the game, then sign out. Log into my LIVE profile (now on the HDD). The game notices and says it has to restart. It restarts with me logged into my LIVE account and boots past where it normally locks. Problem solved thus far. I'm going to play for a while with fingers and toes crossed.

Hmmm, that didn't appear to work for me. Starts to sign me in, but then when my profile picture appears above the grey window it freezes. I think that might be the point when it connects to live and is transferring data

Tried this (booting up with a non-live account, then switchng to mine, on HDD) it froze before it even finished signing in.  Multiple attemps, froze every time.

Glad that this worked for you though.

Tried your method Kithieren but did not work. Here is my situation. My save file resides on the HDD and my profile on the internal xbox memory. I noticed this morning that my internal memory was completely full so I deleted a couple things thinking that this was the reason the game would not load (maybe games need some memory to load idk). I still could not get past the earth start up screen. I then moved my profile to the HDD and made sure to start the game with no login profile. I selected a backup and the game started up normally. I then switched to my main account, and game crashes again.

It does seem to be something to do with the gamer profile. jrowe4 someone on one of the other threads managed to fix it after deleting some corrupted avatar items, tykimykk and I both found we had corrupted items too. Hasn't helped me get my profile working, but maybe give it a go?

Yea, jrowe4, it's definitely worth a shot.  Tombstone5150, had posted that it worked for him.

Yeah I saw on the other threads about the avatar items so I checked. I don't have any corrupted items, even though I could of sworn I unlocked me3 avatar stuff. Hopefully problem is fixed soon, though I guess it gives me some time to do work now.....

Would be good if one of the mods commented on one of the actual threads by now. Haven't they learned by now that keeping people updated keeps the rage down. At least means that we know they are trying...

Did the Sign In/Out after moving my profile, didn't work, checked for corrupted avatar items, didn't have any, this thing is an absolute head-scratcher.

It really is strange, and if it does have to do with our profiles on xbox live I can see it being a real issue to fix. Hey tykimykk, did you do anything in particular to rouse a response from a mod or was it just posting on the other topic?

I have also shaken headless chickens in front of my XBox in order to please Voodoo spirits, since that seems to be just as effective. The game wouldn't load, but I'm looking forward to dinner later.

I unlocked both avatar awards saw tykim post about them being corrupted but they wasn't even on my xbox just redownloaded them still doesn't make game work though but I finally got my omniblade!

If they are corrupted, they show up in the Avatar items section of your memory as "Corrupted Item."

I hate not being able to edit posts on my phone!

But makes me wonder since I unlocked the avatar items and they didn't show up I wonder if this whole issue is caused by some authentication error on those items thus corrupting your gamertag for ME3 til bioware figures something out?
