lol, yeah I don't either. I do have some mates that kept their old white ones after they upgraded. How about a mate who isn't too far away? This is getting ridiculous Bioware, an official update would be much appreciated

I just wiped everything I possibly could from my xbox's HDD, and then downloaded my profile. Still froze on start up.

Could be some data still there attached to your profile I guess. Not much more that we can do from outside though, except try and get biowares attention. Which is harder than you would think. Thanks for keeping the thread active

 I could play Mass effect 3 FINE since release day,

i bought the prothean DLC this week-end cause i couldnt get N7 copy (they had no more at my EBgames) even if i had preordered.

BUT today, i t played a bit  multiplayer,  and then i wanted to continue my SOLO,
as soon i try loading my campaign it say DIRTY DISC and it boot me up to xbox HUD. i tested on 2 different xbox, disc 1 and disc 2 installed and both doing the dirty disc error. Called EA support, told me they were aware of bug...that's it, nothing to do...
Now i cant play at all, even if i try to start new game, using my ME2 character or creating a brand new one, it will say dirty disc error. ONLY IF IM LOGGED ON MY GAMERTAG. that really ****** me off. it was my day off and i used it all to try making my game work, doing long distance call for nothing. Last time i preorder a game. we pay more buck for a new release and get screw by getting a broken game. I own 2 xbox with a collection of + 100 games. ALL ORIGINAL and all were bought on their released day, and this is the FIRST time a bug like this occur.
I have worked in video game industry and im over 30, i can say: this is totally unnaceptable.
I CANNOT PLAY AT ALL.

i called EA,
i deleted my entire profile and download it back, none changed,
moved my saved game to another usb key
deleted that frigging avatar REWARD ERROR
deleted my xbox memory cache
NOTHING WORKED
Hope they plan to fix this, im really not happy with this, since it was working all fine this week end.

This is a pretty shocking situation, our bug is slightly different to yours, that said they are both game breaking. Very poor

Finally figured out how to post here. Jeeze.

Anyways, I JUST had this issue begin happening. I've been playing ME3 for about 20+ hours now, and switched over to MP to get more galactic readiness and what have you. I only started playing it yesterday, to boot. Anyways, I was playing today, then turned it off to go eat. Came back and well... it'll go to the image of Earth burning, then cut to black. Complete Xbox lock-up.

I am so disappointed right now, because I haven't even been able to finish the game yet, and now I might not for possibly weeks? >

FWIW, I've had the From Ashes DLC from day one, and while I've unlocked my avatar awards I've never downloaded them.

It is very shocking that thay can't even come out and say what it is that's going wrong or even say we are on it and working on fixing it. Be nice to have some reashorans that are doing something I don't what to have payed £70 just have got to play the game for 2 day for it to turn rownd now a have a ishow with my gamertag and lock me out from the game completly. Plz at least say something to use so we can get back to playing the game not looking a the form woundering if ther doing something to help us

I'd say if you haven't done so and you just had this problem happen, do this. (And pick the delete profile option, not profile + other stuff.)

I can't believe this is such an issue, though. :/ I'm hearing its worse for PS3 people, though?

i tried redownloading my profile, it did not changed anything. And about that Grissom academy, what is weird is that I WAS on this quest when the bug occured the first time. Now it wont let me restart new game, load game or do any shyt.

only way i can play is by having no profil connected wich also mean, not being able to save my game, how retard is that

We just have to hope that we hear something back soon, hopefully end of the week. Thinking I should go replay DA2 now with the dlcs and by the time I'm done this problem will be fixed.

So, I recieved two messages, from a new user on the forums who is also experiencing this issue.  I won't post their name since it doesn't seem right to.  I can provide screens if that is really necessary.

I have exactly the same issue as you. Tried
everything you have. Deleted everything, including profile, nothing
works. Doesn't even load on no profile at all. I just joined the forums
because of this and it won't let me post for 24hrs but I feel like I
need to tell someone else about this. I tweeted the Mass Effect twitter
page and they said they'd pass it along but that's it. This game was
10/10 for 18hrs and now I can't even load it. Very depressed.

I cleared the cache from HD and MU memory
and it now loads up single player and I can play. if I update game it
goes back to same error. And i cant player MP or log on to EA.

It seems that he fixed it, for him, by clearing cache, and not applying the update.  I tested this out for myself, pretty sure I had already tried this, but hey it's worth a shot. 

It did not fix the issue, the game still froze before the "Press Start" screen.

If you feel the need to take action I suggest filing a complaint with the BBB.  Maybe that will garner their attention.  Then again, maybe not.  Although even that seems like an act of futility, since one look at their rating (it's an F) should say volumes about this.

I am not a law expert, I do not claim to be one.  Take what you will from the below text, it's what I could figure out in a short time, not even sure if it's right.

If you would actually decide to take legal action beyond that, things can get iffy.  Since you used their product, you accepted their End User License Agreement (commonly refered to as EULA) which is essentially a binding contract.  Although you could argue that the EULA is a contract of adhesion and therefore unconscionable.

I went to my local game store and downloaded my profile on of their xboxes and proceeded to play me3 in all 6 systems blackscreen every time even talked 4 people out of buying this game cuase of the poor Customer Service that the people that are receiving this issue are getting

Well at least we know it is a problem linked to our profiles. Means they will have to work with MS which is less good

Yeah it's the gamer tag linking to E.A. Somehow it's getting corrupted on their end.

Just happened to me too.

Froze on start up after Earth screen. Shut off Box reboot, started game signed out. Got to start screen it asks for your gamer tag...10 seconds later frozen.

Since clearing our hds/cache doesn't do anything it's on their end.

Be nice to have an update seriously.

Also, cleaned out the demo first thing, no effect.

Guess we could call it NO Effect now lol...........

though I'd be willing to bet something shiny that it gets corrupted by linking to the EA, and once it does it's bricked.

the whole thing about this fiasco is its sorta scary knowing they can block anyone of us at anytime from playing any of their games single player or multiplayer by just our gamertag

just what exactly is linked to our gamertags that we dont even have a clue about????

My problem is when i start my console and starting up Mass Effect 3 i did have horizontal lines with all colours for just two seconds or so. My guess is that it will not be the screen or the cable because i have tried farious games to check and it only popup sometimes i start Mass Effect 3 but game runs fine and feeling the back it keeps itself cool enough. I wanna ask if people have simular problem so i can decide if i need to send my Xbox 360 back for repair maybe? Wil there be a patch and can someone confirm my problem is simular and also pure related to Mass Effect 3 and not too my Xbox 360??? My thank will be great.

BTW sorry for my poor english but i hope you people are getting my point.
