Starting to get impatient at this point.  I wanted to enjoy ME3 FOR THE WEEKEND you know.

That list is just a few. There are more people that haven't even posted yet as they are waiting. IE my brother and two of my friends. I haven't seen any new response yet from Bioware (recently). I NEVER thought I'd be thinking this but I'm losing my faith in them... Never thought this would be my last game from them... I'm quit depressed about it.

All it takes is a little communication with your customers to keep us at bay. Give us updates!!  If I ran my company like this oooh boy I'd be screwed and be reported to the BBB or worst sued!

So Bioware do the right thing and give us updates on what your doing and FIX this freaking problem!!

Anyway abou tthis one- If anything Thomas Abram has said more than Ryan W., as he's the one who asked us to PM him more details.  So hopefully he's been working on it the whole time.  I assume you sent your details to him as well.

yeah any news on expected timelines would be appreciated. I just started a new ME1 playthrough on a different gamertag, gonna make sure I get conrad verner for example in my ME2. Course annoying thing is when I play ME2 gonna need pass for zaeed, get kasumi DLC again etc ready for ME3.

I have a horrible feeling the interplay between bioware, ea and xbox live means that its many weeks before we get a fix. I hope I am wrong.

oh and the poster asking about the new "zero tolerance" policy - I think thats because a writer commented on importance of story over gameplay (or something like that) and the internets went crazy with personal threats etc against her and her family. was on invisible walls.

You can almost guess what happend; black screen. Made another account, black screen. I am doing something wrong or does my Xbox360 really not like ME3?

Your getting this with a new gamertag right? Straight away?

I can create a new gamertag and play ME3 fine, I was planning ME1 - ME2 playthrough ready for ME3. At this wait this may end up quicker than a patch.

Yes, the moment I start ME3 with a new gamertag I get the black screen. So maybe there are different types of black screen bugs?

sounds like it could be

I dont get an actual black screen, I always see those red meteors - its always the largest of the intial batch that freeze mid screen at exactly the same point

I've just made a group specifically for us peeps who are stuck at the black screen off death. I will be passing off the leadership to Resante when he joins. I think JustinSaneV2 deserves to be officer as well as he has compiled the list of all who have contributed to this thread...

I've called it The Mass Effect 3 Black Hole Group... but perhaps ME3 Dark Matter Group would be better heh. Join up if you are suffering this bug.

UPDATE: A few posts ago I mentioned that I got the black screen even if I made a new gamertag. Because I was a bit confused how this could happen I tried a few things to get ME3 to work.

For my offline test gamertag I cleared the cache, deleted disc 1 from my Xbox360 HDD. I then started ME3 running from disc 1 and I got past the black screen on the test gamertag. I then reinstalled disc 1 on my XBOX360 HDD.

Because I was curious if my back screen problem had something to do with disc 1 maybe not being installed properly I started my regular gamertag that has XBOX Live. I started ME 3, got the update and for some mysterious reason it got past the black screen and I am able to play ME3 single player?!

I am really confused now if I had the black screen bug in the first place or that there was a problem with disc 1 installed on my HDD. I will PM this to Mr. Abram just in case.

I tried this just now (uninstalled both Disc 1 and Disc 2 and then tried to start the game with both Disc 1 / Disc 2 in the tray) - no difference for me. It looks like you didn't have the 'Black screen startup' bug that affects only 1 gamertag, you probably had a corrupted install file or a disc error.

I joined too. I'm on day 12 of the glitch and in the mean time I ranked up in battlefield 3 beat batman arkham city and tried to play assassins creed revelations but after playing batman trying to run around a city w/o being able to glide and grapple everything just isn't as much fun :-/.

I really need this glitch fixed by next weekend. I got it off work and my wife will be out of town so I will have literally nothing to do but play so ease get it fixed by then!

Well something has changed... I found out which parts of the .gpd were causing the crash then deleted just those parts. Able to sign in to Live and said F it I'll sign in to EA servers. Signed in, no crash... Launched multiplayer, see the Operation Fortress info, all my MP stuff appears intact... about to analyze the current gpd and see if anything is different.

Hell yeah Resante... Can you post that profile mod you did earlier in the group discussion area please. Been looking for it in this thread and can't find the darn thing. Then when you finalise the fix you just did could you upload that as well.
