There's only one fix, you can find it in the blackhole group.  You have to use mod tools to repair your gamer profile.  Um basically.  

if you have to repair your profile than it is the profile that is physically on your xbox (not the one stored on the ea servers) what i think is happening (and im proably 100% wrong) is that your mass effect 3 gpd has been corrupt somehow and that it must be repaired in order to play the game

what there telling you to do is basically reset your mass effect 3 gpd. By recovering your gamertag it gives you a backup of your profile from when everything worked correctly (everygame worked correctly no corrupt gpd's)

When you recover it doesn't reset the achiev counters.  You have to mod to do that.

Legion voice: No offense but all of us know what does/does not work. You can check back like 30 pages ago.

All of us, including myself contributed by posting what we did before, and anything else. Troubleshooting, trial and error, the works. Then theres Resante who found the home fix and allowed us to play again. NONE of the generic, crap steps and tips from EAs useless help site worked for ANY of us. As we all posted transcripts many pages ago. Only the "Mr. VEGA" fix did it for us =)

Then Thomas Abram asks us to PM our details. BW is working on it hopefully. So now we're just waiting for an official patch. But like DemGeth said. Its the only way to play again until then..

Today 21 days are passing since when I have a problem with the black screen. Still no solution. Bioware this is a (i really want to use some vulgarisms)... disaster. I am patient but this situation really makes me angry.

I'am from Poland, value is weak here - 1 pounds = 5 zł (even 5,50 zł somtimes). I'am a student and I need to work exactly 30h (almost 4 days) to earn 200 zł (Mass Effect 3 price in Poland) . I'am big fan of Mass Effect (and Dragon Age) so I ordered pre-order copy in December! And what? I can't play for almost month! Perhaps even more...

I was patient 3 weeks. No more pre-orders. I won't buy Your game anymore until You create series of patches. GREAT You treat fans which are investing money in every your game. I see how we are treated here so I'am no expecting a compensation. We are only a meat which a product is supposed to buy nothing more.

Oh come on Bioware! Tell us again in another interview how important we are for You!

Heh that is great. Hope that brings you luck in this. I wonder if it is something that they could fix and know it but understand that it would probably wipe our achievement data and so therefore are hesitant to do it.

yeah i would take it too. achievements are just braging point and i wouldn't mind resetting them.

No news yet Bioware? This is a disgrace, in about 3 or so days I will be "not" celebrating my 1 month anniversary of the black screen at start up. I really thought we were going to see some progress when they asked us for all our log-in info. What was that, like 2 + weeks ago? EA (and I guess by default, Bioware) should win that worst company competition hands down. They really know how steal money from people and get away with it. It's the last time I'm gonna be their chump. I'm officially no longer buying anything with the EA logo on it. Thanks a bunch Bioware for screwing up my favorite franchise this generation and doing nothing about it. I hope I can repay the favor sometime. Have fun with my money, thief's.
