I know this is frustrating but in all reality, there has to be one tech, hard at work on this. Pooring over the data, having team meetings trying his/her best to fix this.

Just need update progress. Losing hope...

And i can only imigine how long this will all take once it has to hit corprate to get cleared. 8(

Also I noticed your post in the update thread then the guy trying to call you out saying you were completely unhelpful and it really like pissed me of that someone would say that to you. It's almost like I felt compelled to stick up for a friend because we are in this same ****ty boat and I was in my head like "hey he's with me don't be a jerk to him"


Dunno if that's just me but I feel like if we don't stick up for each other no one will cause bioware certainly isn't doing anything about it

wut they said was pretty rude and they shouldn't take their anger out on fellow players. I for one appreciate all u have done. Also I know this is off subject but i was wondering if the app thing a game and if it is, is it any good?

Like what? The only thing I can think of that would be worth hiding is that they don't have a fix at all and never will. That the black-screen problem is a fluke bug they never predicted and its not possible to really fix it. (home-fix is just life support, don't kid yourself) 

I don't know...something about this problem just doesn't smell right.

I've got over thirty 360 games sitting on my shelf and not one of them has ever exhibited behavior like this.  And something about a file in my profile becoming unusable just feels...well, viral, as though it had something to do with outside meddling.  The unprecendented nature of the glitch combined with Bioware's reluctance to address the issue in detail makes me think there might be more to this than meets the eye.

A far more likely scenario is that there simply aren't enough of us to make the glitch a priority.  And we're seeing zero movement on it.  Something--anything--would be encouraging at this point..

EDIT: Oh, and happy belated birthday, Bushido.

@nokori, thanks. as its still 8:24 here, its still my birthday, so not belated lol.

You should just do the fix too, like the hippo, see he's so happy now! =D And the free DLC is on the 10th so hurry!

Yeah...I'm still clinging stubbornly to the hope that I'll get a fix without having to sacrifice my cheevo progress.  I was 23/27 on Unwavering, and had over 3500 total kills towards Veteran.  Master and Commander of course will be blanked by the simple passage of time.  A big thanks to whoever dreamed up that genius mechanic.  Prospects are bleak, I know, but I'll hang in there a bit longer.

One way or another, I will be back in action. 

Speaking of which, all this comiserating has lead to me starting to feel like I know some of you guys.  We should meet up on XBL and ventilate some heads together at some point.

Maybe the patch and/or DLC will change the gamertag file enough for it to load. But most probably not.

Been suffering with this for about three and a bit weeks now; whilst I don't agree with filing complaints with the FCC, etc - due to this bug, I will say the lack of communication between tech support and such is on the brink of awful, EA support have been simply listing off the generic responses and MS support know nothing of the issue essentially.

I'm more so annoyed by the lack of achknowledgement from anyone in general, 65 pages and a relatively large user group that is only growing should flash some red lights, but "Yea, we're working on it" a few weeks back isn't good enough. Just give us a sign guys, that's all we need, to know we aren't being ignored - And to quell any "conspiracy theories" too.
All in all I'm happy to see free DLC and such, but, I'd be much happier to actually get a chance to play it? :C

argh, now that I got it working and played a bit, i was about to go for a jog but im afraid to turn the system off!


Also I freaked myself out a bit when i fired it back up. An achievment popped up immedately and i thought i had accidentally givem myself one when i edited the profile and microsoft was gonna find out and get me in trouble, but it turned out to be me getting my readinedd to 100% via the datapad app

you guys think that after they are done with the DLC they will actually start giving us updates? My hope is that once they are done worrying about the DLC they will start doing something about this bug.

Yeah, I looked at the latest patch list expecting to find the fix but there is nothing.... Like it is not even classed as a priority fix.. If not for Resante's fix a lot of us would not be able to use the game we paid good money for.

Here is a list of the upcoming patch and nothing mentioned about the black screen of death.

had that happen to me once but it froze at the start screen
