You know, in a totally messed up Dilbert/Office Space way, it would be really funny if Bioware had never heard of this bug. That all the Indian tech-support people we talked to never forwarded any emails or notices and we were just ignored. At this point, I would simply laugh at that. No tears, no rage...just honest laughter. And at the end, Bioware just says "LOL u mad?"

That would make my year!

Well, Bioware people have posted in this very thread (a while ago...), so they know about it, or at least some of them do. Whether or not they give a **** is another question.

I don't see how they can release DLC while some consumers are completely incapable of playing their game. It's fantastic to see new content coming down the pipeline, especially without charge, and yet disappointing to not truly be able to enjoy it. This bug affects more than just those who are stuck in the black hole; I can't enjoy my game online, which is completely bug free, because my friends are stuck in the black hole. Thanks for the free stuff guys, but a patch for this needs to be top of the list of priorities.

They don't give a sh*t, because they already have our money.

On a side note:  Recieved a response from Kenny regarding an email I sent him a few days ago.  I had to clarify something for him, so it's not the actual reply I was looking for.  But I should *hopefully* have an actual update for everyone on Monday about this.

This mess is frustrating, and I hope your update brings good news, but I feel like bioware/ea are starting to get the picture. They both took a ton of flak for the prothean stunt and their choice of game endings, and now we have two free DLC's coming at us. They're trying at least. We should try making nice; I'm confident it will get us better results faster. I understand that the big picture is always making money and keeping us happy now will lead to us buying more product in the future, but at least they aren't blatantly cheating us anymore.  Try to keep positive guys and I'm sure we'll get positive back from them.

Fat lot of good free DLC udoes us.

Well, GameInformer mentioned a big patch with a lot of various bugfixes.. nothing specific about ours, though.. though since I've not even seen it get mentioned in the major game press...

The magazine or the website?  Not seeing anything about a "massive patch" in the latter.

1 month and 1 day now for my black screen. Fvck you Bioware your absolutely fvcking useless. Get off your fat **** and fix this bug. I'd love to do the fix myself but I'm on a mac and from what I've heard I the software needed is not compatible. We should have all gone to Pax east and thrown black paint on them. At least offer a full refund, I'd be more than happy at this point to send back this stupid piece of **** game that I have been eagerly waiting for the past couple of years. The fact they are not even responding just makes them corporate cowards. I mean they already made their millions so who gives a fvck, right? "If 200 people who bought our game can't play, that's a small margin we can live with, so cheers everyone, great job!"... has probably passed through a mind or two at EA/Bioware.

Hello,

I'll be out of the office from 4/7 - 4/9 and will be returning Tuesday morning. Please send me an email and I'll make sure to get back to you upon returning to the office.

Best,

Kenny Benedict

Well, it looks like I won't hear back from him until tomorrow.

From what I've read so far I guess I can say I've joined the neglected masses. My copy forces my xbox to crash after the EA/Bioware clip and planet still. It's fine as long as I'm not signed in with my Gamertag, but otherwise it just taunts me with a black screen.

They're too busy prepping their DLC for tomorrow.  Fixing our problem would cut into any profits that are going to be generated by the new DLC.

I like how there is still no mention of the "Black Hole" glitch on EA Support:
https://help.ea.com/...t/mass-effect-3

Further proof that we are probably being shoved under the rug.

This may be a silly statement but I'm just saying in case it helps because i noticed a few people mentioning disks and confused saves but, if you install through origin you never need to put a single disk in your computer? The only time I had the disks in was during the install but my comp kept loosing the disk but because i registered the game origin allowed me to download and my disks have never come out of the case? so try uninstalling and downloading through origin? sorry if i've misread just wanted to post in case it helps someone :)

I'm convinced this problem is like that one problem in every sci-fi movie. You know the one the scientist and programmers said could never happen and it would be foolish to have a contingency plan for. The kind of problem that only ends in a thermo-nuclear explosion at the secret bio weapon testing facility buried deep underground...

Man...now I feel bad for the Bioware and EA scientist who are trapped underground while the cyborg space zombies run amuck.
