That's definetly the problem.  I'm surprised that they can't just reset our tags in some way.

Also by the by, looks like Ryan Warden is only updating the Grissom Academy guys again, should we attempt to hijack the thread again and see if we can get a mod looking at this?

If they did it would mean we would lose everything and you may as well start a new profile. if they could just revert to one of the back ups from a weekago though....

Yeah I have been doing everything I can do to get this story out seems like bioware is keeping most the big sites at bay with this story but ill keep trying to grab national attention to this bug only way bioware will acknowledge is hurt the shares it seems

I got the same advice, and no.  There's no way that's a fix, it's just a name change when you do that, literally.

You'll just end up out 10 dollars.

Sorry for not replying sooner, that was my oversight. The ME3 team has been aware of this since it was first posted days agao and are investigating the issue. We don't have any update yet, but we will post as soon as we have some news for you.

Glad its at least on the radar, I knew my tech support calls to ea and microsoft weren't really going to fix my problem, I just wanted the issue to be known to the people that can fix it

Thank you for this thred. I just started having the problem 2 days ago and yesterday I called both Xbox and EA support. The both passed it up the chain of command until it they said some one else would look into it and gave me a help code. I glad Bioware knows of the issue. I also Facebook and twitter messaged them and got a respond. Its good to know I'm not the only one having this problem but at the same time I wish no one was.

What I have found is "corrupted avatar item" if i move my profile to the external h.d. from the internal memory it will let me load the game (this has to be done for every game) it has to lose the profile for a second or two as its moved to let me load any game at all..... or it just tells me "open tray" or "this disk is unreadable"

Wish I spotted this forum before I sent my hardrive in for replacement, and lost my 20+ hours single player profile, still dont work even with the hardrive gone.

I contacted them and asked if the gamers that are having this problem with be compensated in any way and she offered me a %15 discount on items I purchase off of the EA website. My only reply was " So basically I spent $100 dollars on a game I can't play and the only way you will compensate me for YOUR issue is for me to spend more money?" What a joke.

The bright side to that being they know about the problem and are actually trying to fix it. Otherwise you wouldn't of been offered anything.
