Hopefully some good news. i asked bioware if they were still taking in origin account information to help fix our issue and they replied that at this time they dont need anymore. so hopefully that means a fix is underway.

He didn't spell it wrong, you can spell it with either an -or or an -er. It's generally the difference between British and American.

Also; relatively confident we'll either see some great steps taken to fix this problem by the start of next week or we'll have a full fix by then, feeling pretty confident and judging from the replies that have now been sent out to tech support guys and such, it seems BioWare have not only 
acknowledged  the issue but also set out on a repair.

YEEEEESSSSSS!!! I finally got a chance to do the fix today, and it worked! Hallelujah! Now I can go back to enjoying this awesome game again! Many thanks to Resante, and also to Bushido Effect for directing me here. You guys are awesome! I also highly recommend that everybody who is able to do the fix , should do it. I'm not tech savvy at all, but it's easy enough that anyone can do it.

No thanks to Bioware for not doing anything about this huge problem... I hope they eventually release an official fix, so everybody can enjoy the game again!

That logic is silly. Your talking about the English spelling of a word in the English language and saying that the spelling is wrong because some computer programs spell it differently - doesn't make sense i'm afraid.

I'am start thinking about solve this problem by Resante fix because already I can't play ME3 for 34 days (Bioware -.-) . I'am a little bit afraid because my english is not perfectly and also I'am not very good in these matters.

I have a question to people which fixed the black screen by Resante method. After that have You ever problem with black screen? Everyone used Resante fix one time or every time when You have problem with black screen? And of course can I play multiplayer after that ?

Forget Grissom, I guarantee if those italians start getting the black screen later they're all gonna flood THIS thread. Then they'll either post in Italian or bad English.  Getting all worked up over ONE, OPTIONAL mission, like its the end of the ******* world Mayans 2012...

Ahhh, well no point in venting any more... Thanks to YOU Resante I was actually able to START UP the game back when you introduced your fix.  Was also able to play the OPTIONAL GRISSOM mission too!! YYYYEAHHHHH!!!

We need to build some RESANTE STATUES in tribute!!  Place them next to Ryan Wardens!

See, we're more PRODUCTIVE than GameFAQs, thats why I PM'd you to sign up here.  While everyone there can continue posting the same topics arguing about the ending and musing about multiplayer issues as thats all the topics you see now lol.

We gotta play MP now, team up.  I recently got my Geth Infiltrator AND Black Widow and it so powerful... On bronze its OVERpowered =D

- Yes the black screen can return (I'm pretty sure Bushido reported that happening to him).
- You only have the perform the fix one time (unless you experience the glitch again which means you'll have to redo the fix).
- Yes you can play multiplayer again.  The only thing that the fix affects is your progress on unearned achievements and the bonus powers your single-player character currently has access (both get reset).

BTW my copy of ME3 is still running strong. I'm hoping that BioWare intentionally did something because if they did then it seems to be working great thus far.

Thought Id got lucky like JustinSaneV2, as the game let me past the bsod after installing the patch. Fired it up this morning though and the bsod is back.

The update and the new useless DLC did nothing for me as you all can tell. I have one question about the fix---did anyone ever post a video on how to do it? I am not very computer savy--especially when transferring 360 to pc and back again. Thank you.

Yes, I know that.  Sorry for my network admin way of thinking.  Just put everything on cruise control, stuff sorts itself out.  IMO spelling not that big of a deal, but when your English (US) company sends mail you'd think they would use English (US) not English (UK).  But that's just me nitpicking.

Afraid so. Many of us have been black screened for over a month. Bioware and EA keeping saying they're looking into it, but really I think alot of us have just given up. What with the controversy with the ending, what really is the point in waiting to beat a game that so many say ends badly?
Just my opinion though, but I agree the thread is slipping.

yeah i have pretty much given up and have moved on to other games. After a month of waiting ,with what looks like little progress made on an actual fix, makes you give up hope on ever playing agin.

This is a real shame as I was enjoying the multiplayer but now I have got the black screen after the patch. How can such a big company f**k up so badly? In the many years I have played games I don't think I have ever encountered a game where so many people can't play it at all. Nor have I seen a company release a patch that f**ks it up even more. It really is unbelievable. At this point I'm not sure whether to try the Resante fix, wait a while longer to see if an official fix comes or just trade the game in.
