I just had that issue posted above in the sticky, the freezing on main menu when connecting to EA after the patch, topics. But I don't have it anymore. Just my stuck on the "Checking DL content" screen. Enjoy my topic, bugs and more bugs!! Its the new Rachni Wars!

A flash drive is a flash drive, is it not? The only difference is that it comes pre-configured as far as I know. So it should work fine.poizonedthewell2 wrote...

And you need whatever amount of space your profile takes up. Mine took up 4 MB.

Oh boy... I just did the fix 3 days ago, and now I'm already blackhole'd again. Time to do the fix again, I guess. I had hoped it would last a little longer than this... but the black hole has no mercy.

I found that this has, at least it seems to have, helped avoid the blackhole. When quiting ME3, back out to the main menu, waiting for it to detect w/e it does. Dashboard out, eject disc///turn console off.Wstonefi2 wrote...

Bushido, don't know if you've tried this or not but, try hitting the guide button after pressing start at the "Press Start" screen. It puts the game checks into the background has helped me get past it.Bushido Effect wrote...

Funny thing is that this was suggested to me as solution for the blackhole by EA support.

Dude, just do the fix. It's easy, and there's no reason not to, as long as you have a flash drive and access to a PC. Who knows how much longer the official patch will take.

Is Resante related to Mordin? Cause the fix works! It did not erase my Achivements, just resate the Bruiser Achievement Thanks Man but since I all ready got it, it was not erase. Resate the special skills I get from the crew, and If you dont have the Unwavering Achivement, well it seens to be block cause I did every single mission on Insanity and still did not get it.

More on topic - Resante's fix worked for me, at least for now. No doubt it'll probably black hole again at some point, but for the moment i'm enjoying a working copy again. Thanks to Resante and everyone else who helped get this fix working and known among the community.

Yes it is nice when the game you have works, easy for people who've just dealt with ME 3 recently to forget.
Oh man it's funny just finished the "intro", thought for sure that was the first chapter it was so long.

I had to do some extra hacking to get my game working with the Resante fix the second time because the XBL copy of the profile (which was black holed with regard to ME3) kept overwriting the damned fix.
We really shouldn't have to do this... the damned game should be fixed already but Bioware are saying nothing. All this does is pee off the loyal fans and turns them into disloyal fans.
I wish I could send Jack around to the Bioware offices just to send them a whole stream of her F-Bombs to wake them up to the fact that we really need to know what is going on.
