I wish I could send Jack around to the Bioware offices just to send them a whole stream of her F-Bombs to wake them up to the fact that we really need to know what is going on.

I humbly suggest that Legion is our man. One Legion-approved fix and all would be forgiven. For real. Well, as long as we're in the world of fiction, y'know...

^^^^^^^^^^ You either have the black screen at start up, meaning before the "PRESS START" shows up.

or you have freezing after the new patch on the main menu, while connecting to EA servers. Theres a separate topic on the sticky.

Seems like many countries are getting these... If North Korea played ME3 and they got black holed they might drop a nuke on BW in canada or something...

Well, I'm getting close - over 40 days now for me. I only got about 10 hours into it before it got all ****ed up. Everyone else complaints that do not relate to the black screen should just shut the **** up and enjoy their game.

Thank you for contacting EA Technical Support. I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties, and apologize for any inconvenience.

I understand that your Mass effect 3 game crashes at the particular instance of the game.

If the issue is still persisting we may suggest you to try the disk on another console. If the game do not work on another console then most likely there is an issue with the disk. In such cases we will suggest you to replace the game disk from our warranty department.

I hope that resolves the situation. If you have any other questions, then by all means feel free to let us know. You can also refer to our extensive Self Help Knowledgebase at http://help.ea.com for common technical questions.

If there is anything else we can help you with, please do let us know.

Aw well, Witcher 2 is in the mail. Maybe it will succeed in completely taking my mind off this travesty. It's quite sad dropping in here every day to see if anything has changed. (Hint: it hasn't).

Thank you for contacting EA Technical Support. I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties, and apologize for any inconvenience.

Sometimes certain configurations can conflict with your game. Set any controller, sound, and video settings to their default setting. This can be done deleting the game's settings information from the hard drive. Try playing the game again.

This could also be an issue involving corrupt game save files. You will need to remove game related save data by following the below given steps.

1. Power on the Xbox without a game disc inside to display the Xbox dashboard.
2. Select Memory and press A
3. Select Hard Disc and press A
4. Scroll through the save games until you find your specific game.
5. Press the A button while selecting a files to delete them.
6. Confirm deletion when prompted.
7. Repeat until you no longer see any of the game files left on the Xbox hard disc.
8. Restart system with game inside. Try running your game again.

This issue can also be due to any NON-OFFICIAL Peripherals connected to your console. Please unplug all non-official peripherals connected to your console. The easiest way to ensure this is to unplug any peripherals except for the official licensed controllers that came with the system. This includes any memory cards or network adaptors. When the console is starting up it will calibrate the controllers. Do not move the thumb sticks or press any of the buttons until the EA logo appears.

Example of non-licensed equipment manufacturers: Nyko AirFlow, MadCatz MicroCon, Mad Catz Dual Force 2.

If the issue persists, try clearing console cache, follow these steps:

1. Locate the System section of the Xbox 360 Dashboard.
2. Select Memory, select Hard Drive, and then press Y to view the device options screen.
3. On the Controller, press the X, Left Bumper, and Right Bumper buttons in this order: X, X, LB, RB, X, X
4. You will be prompted to confirm system maintenance, select Yes by pressing A.

I hope that resolves the situation. If you have any other questions, then by all means feel free to let us know. You can also refer to our extensive Self Help Knowledge base at http://help.ea.com for common technical questions.

Thank you,

Regards,

Whenever I read of EA Tech Support suggesting these "fixes" I want to frackin' SCREAM. They have absolutely NO idea regarding this bug. They make you get rid of your saves for no reason at all and don't even suggest backing up your saves first. I even posted on my blog regarding this issue. You would be better asking your dog for tech support rather than EA Tech Support.

Bioware should have got in contact with EA support to update them on this issue but Bioware are keeping quiet about this problem for some reason. I blame both EA and Bioware equally for this. It's just a LACK... OF... COMMUNICATION and ends up trolling their own customers.

I can't belive they haven't told EA yet thats just stupid. glad i read up on the fourms b4 i ever did anything. After reading only a few pages it was obvious that EA was clueless and anything that they recomended was bound to fail.

All they[/color] need do is tell tech support that if someone reports a black screen lockup before the start menu appears that they pass on this message...

Bioware are aware of this issue and they are working on a fix for this.
This is a problem with the Xbox Live Gamer Profile which we cannot alter

... which would cover their ass and not put the customer through pointless exercises that would end up removing their game saves. Currently it's an exercise in futility.

I searched on forums and found that so many Xbox gamers are facing the same issue, but some of the gamers issue have been fixed by booting up the game while disconnected from Xbox Live.So I request you to please try the same and let me know if it worked for you.

I hope that resolves the situation. If you have any other questions, then by all means feel free to let us know. You can also refer to our extensive Self Help Knowledgebase at http://help.ea.com for common technical questions.

I'll just jump on the bandwagon.
Same issue here.

I'm waiting for the official fix, if any, because I don't want to redo the game on Insanity, which would be the case if I use Resante's fix, as it will reset my achievement progress, and I tend to be an Achievement Wh.. Hunter.

Don't wait.  In the time it will take for a real patch you can do 2 full playthoughs.  As I did! :alien::alien:

First, I fixed mine last month. My career was halfway through the game, this meant after I reset my insanity progress, the missions I did AFTER that recounted towards the achives.

Basically after I beat the game, I simply reloaded previous saves close to the missions that were reset from my first half before I did the fix, and it worked out perfectly.  This is why its good to keep many saves spaced throughout the game!  ME3 gives you 30 slots, so use it.  ME1 is only 10.

I might just have to do that, still a bit of doubt left, I do have a save before each mission, so that should help. Will this interfere with getting a level 15 multiplayer character?

Just popping back in, I fixed it myself with the resante fix (which I EXTREMELY recommend) and was just checking to see if there was any progress or any word from bioware or anything for that matter that's happened
