I filed a BBB report on EA/Bioware a few days back about this issue. You guys complaining on this forum should do the same.

... except for sneaking and arm wrestling. Those mechanics are pretty damned AWFUL... no... I lie... they are EXCRUCIATINGLY AWFUL.

Some things in TW2 have been done really well... but some of the game mechanics are pretty bad. Trying to find your way around that dwarven town for instance... Talk about useless maps. That place is a 3D maze ffs. I've been going around that place for 5 hours today and I STILL get lost. Why they never put up signs or even door numbers is beyond me.

TW2 is a good RPG is some respects but in others it's really bad.

lol yeah dorf town is confusing at first.  i just ended up using the same passage left/right or upper/lower the entire time.  

sneaking and arm wrestling...not really a big part of the game.....

Everyone needs to bombard Ray Muzyka with pm's. Not sure if it will help but it's worth a shot. His link is at the bottom of the page. I sent in a FTC complaint about a month ago. Think I'll have to hook up a BBC now, thanks for reminding me.

Hey Vermonster, FreezeGodzilla, et al, have you tried the fix yet? If not, you should try it! Just follow the steps in the group, and it's easy! Better than waiting for an official fix which may never come, right?

I would do the home fix, but  have one achievement left, beat the game on insanity, and when the black screen occurred I was already back on Earth. I'd rather just leave it and get a proper fix than reset that achievement counter. It's not worth it for this broken game.

Its not worth it for 1 achievement left either. I had to redo most of mine but now I'm maxed out. In the space of time that this bug still occupied. Had to kill 5000 enemies, also beat all missions on insanity, had half done already since I was halfway thru the game when I got the screen.  Just used old saves and reload.    You can wait if you wish tho.

yeah i did and have been playing for the last few days but I'm still showing my support for a fix

Oh forgot I wanted to add an update:

This can easily be fixed with a update. The reason BW hasn't released one yet is because they're looking around if there are any OTHER causes for the screen. So if the GPD issue is the only root cause and nothing else, it would be fixed. But if there are other factors, those need to be addressed as well in 1 patch.

Because you don't wanna DL a patch then it causes new unforeseen problems after. Similar to the current patch, where my console froze several times trying to connect to EA (gone now). Skyrim had its own issue as well after an early patch, (Removed ALL magic resistance!)

So while it wasn't my style personally, resorting to destructive commentary doesn't speed up progress any more than speaking normally (referring to diff topic lol)

Also I wanted to add: how do know this? Because I talked to BW myself days ago. a kind PM went a long way.

Thomas said the GPD thing can be resolved through patching. I Just wanted to put those people who were concerned that it couldn't be done- Due to Resante's fix arriving first

I think you were the one who said gotta take a break and relax after the hard fighting. I went back to bronze recently lol. Funny stuff. I just fool around now as a PINK DRELL lol. Never cared much about N7, so once I hit 1000 I may lock it there

I'm going to laugh if Bioware's fix resets the achievement progress. Would be a good reason for this to be taking so long. I hope, however, they fix it properly and not screw over the people who held out in hopes of a proper fix.

The black hole is caused by the .gpd getting corrupted, so I guess what they're trying to say is either they haven't yet found everything that can jack it up or they are looking for a way to fix it without deleting your stats.

I just got this today after almost two months of the game working fine. I have the Collectors edition and a stock 360 slim. all of my other games work fine including Mass Effect 2. Come on EA really!! if a game is not finished do not release it, just wait a bit longer.

sucks you got it, but at least you got to play it this long. most of us have had it pretty much since release

I was able to get some people from the Hold the line/ Retake ME3 to help get the world out about out problem. We know Bioware keeps an eye of them so hopefully they will see where not going away.

I am so glad that this problem is not just me. After spending hours on the phone with EA and chatting with Microsoft for just as long, they both acted like they never have heard of such a thing.

Made me go through the ringer with troubleshooting. Figured it was something with my gamer tag when it happened on another console....

Now if only BW and EA would fix this crap... This is a joke...

Does this ridiculous sounding "home fix" actually fix the game? It sounds like the multiplayer will be broken still from what I've read.

I would do this except I'm on a Mac so unless someone has a program that edits GT's that works on OSX this is not an option for me.
