 I don't even think I can do the fix that was shown. I can't believe that Bioware hasn't fixed this yet. I'm going to be really bummed out if I don't get my N7 pack this week, since I completed the challenge.

At least the trilogy is over. I'm glad this didn't happen in Mass effect 2 and then my Shepherd would of never beat the collectors. Man those where the days, Fighting with my squad and actually being able to play Mass Effect.....

Bioware, If we can not play the game then your "fix" for the ending is pointless. So please take some people off the project to fix the ending and have them fix some of the game breaking glitches.

Page 90, wow. My game broke back in late March. I might actually be playing Half-Life 3 by the time this gets fixed.

Yea, mine borked March 9th.  I even talked with someone at EA's corperate offices.  Still nothing has been done.

It has been more than 2 months, it's safe to say they aren't going to do anything.  Their lack of assurances is proof enough.  I mean seriously, their last post about this issue was more than a month ago.

I know it's starting to look that way.  I don't want to believe my favourite developer could be that irresponsible.  I'd like to see Casey Hudson give one of his impassioned speeches about how Bioware cares in the face of this debacle.

And yes, I've used the word "debacle" twice in this thread.  That's just the kind of debacle this whole debacle has been.

I just got it for the third time this morning (sigh). I'll do Resante's fix again later this evening. For people who are expressing concerns about the fix, I wanted to raise a couple of points:

-The fix doesn't reset your achievements, it resets your achievement progress (so let's say you've got all ten mailslot shots, you'll still have the achievement, but if you have eight you have to get all ten)

-When I sent an e-mail to EA help desk, they sent me a message back telling me to do the Resante fix. I don't think Microsoft is going to hand out bans for doing a fix that EA is telling it's customers to try.

-It works. If you have access to a PC that runs .exe files, and a USB key, you can fix this in twenty minutes. I'm not particularly computer savvy and I've successfully done it twice. I also waited for a couple of weeks, thinking that I shouldn't have to fix it myself, but it feels much, much better to not be waiting around, desperate for any little post from Bioware telling me that they don't know the exact root of the problem yet (which is ridiculous, seeing as someone's already identified the exact part of the profile affected, and made a fix).

Highly recommend it. Waiting for Bioware made me feel so angry and ignored.

I know, right?  Hell I've been in communication with an EA rep in regards to my BBB complaints and the only thing that's gotten me is confirmation is that BioWare is a bunch of tight-mouthed recluses who don't bother to acknowledge their fans or their employers.

I have a question.?. Is this similar to the black screen that pops up and tells me that a profile change has occurred and that I need to switch to the original profile? It then loads and the game starts.

This happens 97% of the time when I first turn my game on. There is only 1 profile. I have absolutely no idea why this is happening and it slightly pisses me off. I understand that it may not be a huge problem,but between this and having to dl my dlc 97% of the time when playing Madden(Plus countless other EA bs.). I am really getting tired of EA and their servers.

Edit: Obviously I am playing on 360.
Thanks Resante, Also I have never moved,changed,or altered the profile in any way.

I've seen this happen if you move the profile from hdd to usb, edit it, then boot up the game using the profile on usb rather than moving it back to the hdd. Just one possible circumstance and I have no idea if it happens 100% of the time. I know I encountered it when I was trying to figure out the black screen of death. Didn't change profiles. The profile itself has a profile ID that is unique to your gamertag; not sure offhand but that may be stored in the ME3 gpd file and if somehow corrupt I could see it causing what you're experiencing.

You have no idea how lucky we are to have you around Resante.  Many of us might have already thrown in the towel by now and given up on ME3 if you hadn't been here doing what should have been BioWare's job.  I have not yet performed your fix myself but I thank you anyways for hard work and continued support of those in need here.

I had a look on Youtube last night to see if anyone had posted a video walkthrough of the Resante fix. Most of what I found had to do with the PC counterpart to the Black Hole bug. Is there a 360 video out there as well?

don't think there is a video but if you follow the instructions word for word you should be alright. I remember when i first did it i was extremely nervous but it turned out to be very simple. NG NeoMorph's and Resante's instructions are easy to read and follow. Also I know nothing about technology and I was still able to do it. Though its still stupid that we have to fix it ourselves
