Well since max payne 3 came out today I figured I'd maximumize the payne in bioware side. Come on fix it.

I don't like this word, "Investigating." It sounds like they've got Magnum P.I. on the case or something. This bug doesn't need a detective; it needs an executioner.

I'm sure the fix will work and all, but I've had this gamertag for the past nine years. I'm unwilling to risk its continued existence for a single game. I suffered through the ending, the plot holes, the snide comments and the poor customer service, but this is the final nail on the coffin for me. I hope they release the patch soon, but I don't think I or many other of its fans (many of whom they are already losing already) can just sit here and take it for much longer.

is it to late to join the conversation, i too am fed up with bioware not fixing this and EA is of no help either. all they do is tell you do the 3rd party fix but they cannot take responsibility for it. how come a 3rd party can fix this but the creators cannot/will not

Just wanted to post as well....haven't played for nearly two months. Was working on my second play through when I got the black screen. Been checking back every week or so to see if there is a fix... of course nothing. I'd like to be furious at Bioware since I've been playing Mass Effect for years.

Even though there's not an official fix coming anytime soon (or maybe ever) I've learned that there is life away from my xbox and Bioware games. Maybe if we all stepped back away from our console for awhile it would help inspire Bioware, EA, and Microsoft to focus on this. I know doing the Resante fix or playing on another profile is NOT the answer if we are looking for a responsive action.

i think the best thing we can do at this point is to stop buying bioware/EA games. If they start losing money they will relies that this is not the way you can treat your customers. I would have more to say on this but its 2 30 in the morning and its taking all my energy just writing these sentences. I'll probably say more on the issue tomorrow.
 side note: I don't think i used the best grammer here either so i'll agalogize for it now and fix it later.

Yeah...I think it's doubtful that a group this size could really make a dent in a multi-million dollar selling franchise.  A blow to the company's credibility would probably hurt more if this issue were at all in the public eye, but it's failed to garner even a fraction of the attention that the ending controversy got.

The question is: will all be forgiven when and if a working fix comes out? 

Checking this forum is getting to be quite a tiresome routine.  I come to 360 tech support and check to see if there's any word on "Pacth 3" (there never is), then hop over to this thread to see if there's any encouraging news (there never is).  I'm beginning to feel like Stadler and Waldorf on The Muppets, actually: "Why do we always come here / I guess we'll never know / It's like a kind of torture..."

...and so on...and so on.

yeah know what you mean i check just about everyday just to see if bioware has said anything yet. I think your right we don't really have the numbers to hurt them through sells. The thought crossed my mind last night, but I was too tired to type it down.

I think the answer is to just make new threads. They seem to be ignoring this one now.

not sure if that would help because once they relies that its the same people talking about the same issue they are going to ignore that thread to. Plus there's the fact that if we have 2 threads people who are new to this bug might get confused.

Had no issues yesterday. Was on my 7th playthrough. Boot up today and black hole. It really kind of depresses me.

When the bioholes think its worth fixing. Or we stop complaing. Tho I aint giving them that satisifaction. I will be here the rest of my life if I have to.

Yeah, I would be about there by now had the Black Hole not sidelined me way back in March.  A sucky situation all around.
