Otherwise, don't hold your breath. This issue has been posted here since damn near day 1 (release day). It didn't get official acknowledgement until almost a month after that. And now the game will have seen numerous patches fixing pretty much everything else except for the issue that prevents people from playing the game altogether. Because, you know, they have to appease the people who can actually play their game first...
Also, if anyone happens to know the location of the pit that all the E.T. games are burried in, would you mind posting it. I want to add ME3 to it too.

this i s a joke. i havent checked this in almost a month. A MONTH!! a problem shouldnt last that long in itself, let alone leave customers waiting to the point that they give up on what is essentially goldmine for EA and bioware if they only made an effort.

I haven't had a single problem with ME2 and I've had my original copy since launch.
Yep, I started having problems two or three days ago, the game froze and I had to turn the console off. And that's "normal", because when I turned the console on I could access the game using my main gamertag. Since yesterday though, I get the black screen after I press the start button and the console freezes. And this happens when use my main gamertag, other profiles can access the game.

84 days and counting. This is not hard to reproduce. I ****ing gave them all my xbox info so they could just get into my account and see for themselves. Pretty sure everyone else did as well back in the days when they were actually communicating with us. All those greedy bastards at Bioware should have their hands cut off for being thieves.

Hey bioholes, if the problem is how to fix this glitch without resetting achievement progress. how about you create a fix and make it into a free dlc instead of a patch so that only people with the glitch download it and then everyone is happy.

i've been blackscreen'd since the weekend that followed the release. If this isnt fixed soon i want a full Refund on my game and dlc. that includes mass effect 1 and 2. since this has made them an equal waste.

I said I wasn't going to do the Resante fix because I didn't want to do Bioware's job. In the end I lied and did the fix....boy it feels good again to blow the head off a reaper or two.
Just a note to anyone having problems with Horizon. I had multiple problems with it on multiple computers. It seems that 99% of the issue is with the firewall. It may not be enough to turn it off, you may need to ensure that Horizon is "trusted" by your firewall.

I don't blame u, i tried resisting doing the fix thinking the same way, but after a month i couldn't stand it anymore and I figured that bioware may never actually fix it themselves, or if they do it would be another couple of months.

I play every once in awhile. I'm just here to help keep the thread alive and to add some numbers to the group of people being effected and it disgust me that this glitch isn't fix yet. But u may be right I can play anytime i want so maybe i don't have the right to complain about it. Ok i'll check in every once in awhile to see if its been fixed but i wont say much.

i too had been a victim of the black screen freeze for 2 months untill gave up all hope of a fix and used the resante fix. i have been hammering multiplayer for two weeks now and loving it. but would you believe it patch 3 comes out today and i am frozen out of multiplayer .
i can connect to multiplayer and mess around with my load out and use the store but when i search for a game to join the screen freezes on the blue loading screen with the comunicating icon stuck on, i can hear the other players in in lobby /game talking but thats it.

Sooo I downloaded the patch today just to see if by some happy accident all of bioware's messing around with the code fixed the black screen, and guess what....NOTHING:(
