It's lawsuit time guys and gals.

What is the best case scenario?  We get a full refund?  let us assume that there are 200 to 300 of us at $70 apiece (game + from ashes) that is only $14,000-$210,000.  For a game that made millions that is not even a dent in the profit margin.  Something needs to be done, but a lawsuit will take too much time and not even have an effect.  Maybe we could buy the bilboard outside of their office and put a giant picture of a black hole on it?  could be expensive though.

Okay this has just happened to me this weekend, both disks same thing either get a black screen shortly after the view of Earth or if I'm lucky I get to the press start screen but then it crashes.

It was working fine and there are not marks on the disk, the game wasn't even ejected from my disk tray between plays.

I really don't fancy trawling through 99 pages of posts but is there any fixes? Causes to any of this?

thanks for the link, but I'm not risking my gamerscore or account for a fix.

It's absolutely ridiculous, it's definitely linked to the Gamertag as I can sign into a temp account and the disk runs fine.

TBH I hadn't even heard of this problem until it happened to me but it's a biggie. Bioware really should at least acknowledge this as it is as bad as the PS3 Skyrim bug as it rendered the game unplayable

What bothers me even more than the lack of updates is that the issue is still occuring.

You could always move your save over to a new gamertag and play it there until they fix the issue. It's really easy and there is no risk of a ban from it.

I could give you instructions on how to do it. You just need a PC and a USB thumbdrive formated o the 360.

Our problem is that no one who does not have the glitch even knows about it. So we need to make it more visible to the gaming community. any suggestions?

I think the best idea we had was to have some locals dress up in all black and storm the ME3 panel at PAX East back in April but that didn't pan out. Anyone want to design some all black ME3 shoes?

While I share your feelings, myself being one of the original posters of this issue (way back on March 9th). 
Comments like this are not needed, and honestly do not help at all.

As of posting this (June 10th), the game has only been publicly available for ~96 days. 

Sorry to offend anyone, I'm just beyond disappointed with Bioware for how they are handling this and need to vent my fustration. 104 days or 96 days, whatever the case is....it's totally unacceptable. I'm crass, I totally admit it. Just feeling ripped off and ignored by a company I have dedicated many hours to, always buying new games to support their craft and by my favorite storyline this generation of consoles. I was really, really looking forward to playing this game and finishing the series. They need to at least give us an update on their progress to quell my, and I'm assuming other peoples dissapointment. I know it would solve a bunch of my anger issues with them.

I think getting heard over the din is going to be tough. I think we need to get more aggressive I for one am tired of being brushed off by Bioware. Maybe combining everyone's ideas into one massive cross-media blitz. Bioware's already proven that they only respond to negative publicity.

Only barely, but we can hope.  Just remember that EA was voted the worst company in america and did not seem to care.

Is there anything in the code of conduct that says that we cannot message every moderator on the site? because if there is not, I suggest that each of us sends a message to every moderator asking when the Black hole will be patched.

Well my CE is absolutely useless. I figured the companies didn't care anymore. Same problem as the rest of ya'll --- soon after the EA logo and shepard's omni tool thing --- it goes to the picture of palaven and then upp. Nothing. Darkness.

Sent an e-mail to game informer with a link to this thread and a detail of both mine, and by assumption, other players' experiences with the black screen. That was over a week ago. No response.
Gonna' try messaging bioware again, but no high hope here.

Black screen then lockup on this guys vid he traced it to his Xbox gamertag check out the vid. Can one of you try recovering your gamertag and redownloading the online pass from your Xbox dl history. Worth a shot even if it helps 1 guy.

The issue is linked to the gamertag, but is CAUSED by the ME3 game / Bioware servers. Recovering the gamertag will only work if the corrupted file hasn't already been uploaded to MS as part of the profile sync process, which happens at various stages of play.
