In the beginning of Mass Effect 2 we clearly see Miranda in the same room with the Illusive Man so this means that she knows where the base is. She could have just told us in Mass Effect 3 and saved us a lot of trouble.

Maybe she's brought in on a ship without knowing where she is, like they do with prisoners in real life so they can't escape and tell everyone where the base is.
