It's fine, the combat is still perfectly challenging as a level 32. I like it. In ME2 you started from scratch because they rebuilt you, but ME3 is just a direct continuation of your performance. If you want to learn what the new abilities do before investing in them, you don't need to spend all your points at once (I saved about ten of them until the second combat mission or so), and you can always reset your skill points in the med-bay if you change your mind.

so it is made that way? not just an issue? kinda lame i think. almost like what is the point in even having levels then? just give you points to already max a skill or two from the start? oh well. guess ill make a new shepard in my second play through to get that satisfaction feeling i suppose.

There's still plenty of room to grow the characters. I only maxed out one or two skills and was only halfway into some of the others.

Well the thing is you only can get to like level 30 if you start your first play through from scratch without an import. With an import you start at around level 30 and can get up to level 60 in your first play through. That is how it works. We were told this would happen on the forums months ago when the game first was in development. Getting upset about a feature that was confirmed a long time ago is not really cool.
