You can add me to the evergrowing list of customers with this bug problem. Mines on Xbox 360 though I lost countless spectre boxes worth of unlocked items and species character unlocks etc like Arc pistol, revenant rifle, mattock rifle,Disciple shotgun,Asari adept and vanguard,Drell Adept and Vanguard,Salarian Infiltrator, all my power ups and weapon mods. Weirdest thing was I kept all my class level progress in multiplayer but my unlocked species became unusable.

They were unlocked which are now all locked off to me,this happened shortly after I finished a match with a friend and I saw the "welcome to spec ops multiplayer" splash screen then was rewarded with the "starter pack & battlefield 3 pack" for the second time since I joined the multiplayer portion of ME3.

Like everyone in this thread I wait paitently for a resolution to this issue from someone at EA/Bioware, I just hope theres something they can do for those of us that spent credits and microsoft/bioware points on these spectre packs etc .

The multiplayer team is still in Montreal, I believe.

If this requires anything more than a server side fix, won't it be a month before the problem gets fixed on XBox? I thought Microsoft's month or so delay on patches was a pretty common roadblock, and one that was used to justify the delay in fixing several of DA2's launch bugs, specifically the Sebastian/Isabel ruin-your-attack-speed glitches.

I think its due to Microsoft (and Sony) demanding any patch goes through certification, but also, if what I read is true, that it costs publishers money to put out patches on consoles.

Add me to the list as well, Origin ID ShadowWolf471. I just lost 320 BW points, my Asari Van, Drell Adept, and Salarian Infiltrator, and a few vet and spectre packs :(

I asked them on twitter and thats what i got:

Me: Players lose their stuff they have spent REAL MONEY on. No word from you since 3 days. Any ETA?
Them: There is no ETA at this time but thank you for letting us know

https://twitter.com/...226290350592000

Errrr right, at least they know about this issue now O_o

Same here, crash and 2480 BW points of stuff lost... :(

Waiting an answer for a time ... after that I will ask my bank to refuse payment.

And I think that EA will rapidly correct the problem if everyone ask for their money and refuse payment. When you go to the money things move generally real quik. :)

(Hope I'm clear, english is not my birth language)

What's really worrying is that they are doing nothing to mitigate the problem. They could put a warning on the little PC screen on the main menu about this and lessen the likelihood that more people get nailed by this bug. Instead they are just sitting on their hands and letting the problem compound.

At the very least there should be an update on this issue, it has been reported for over 6 days.

It'd be nice to have some sort of response on this matter. As it stands it makes multiplayer virtually unplayable if you do not wish to risk losing all that you've earned. And this is on top of Galaxy at War not connecting. Sigh.

Anyone that lost their stuff while NOT clicking ready and going in the store or is all happening in that particular way?

Lose what you have earned is sad, but the real problem is for those who spend money in there.

I can overlook a bug, but not being robbed and butt****ed with a smile.

FPSxChris here, i just got off the Phone with 4 different EA Mass Effect Reps they all said Bioware/EA are working on the issue im not sure if this just to get me off the phone but they said they had a tech support go somewhere to help resolve this issue..

All the Reps said, "All the Data from all of us losing our items are still on the servers they just have to make a update to get the data connected back tot he correct users, and that takes time."

I've read just about all the posts and all i see is Flame because someone lost a few items/ Money i lost it too i was hit by the bug Wednesday morning around 12:30am i lost over $27.50 and all that i have the right to be mad but im not, i know with this mass audiance that they wont just get up and walk away without giving us something for the trouble, that would then start more problems then the bug itself.

Flaming Bioware/Ea wont get our items/data back any sooner and spamming them wont make it any faster, i understand making them aware of it. But because you lost 5-60k ING Credits or $100 worth of Microsoft Points isn't a reason to repea the same thing over and over again, THEY KNOW ABOUT IT JUST WAIT! I've seen about the Attacking Post on different Topic in Different Sections. Tech Support Thread is filling up with people attacking the Mass Effect and Bioware Name, if you've read the Rules and CoC it says right above you.

"Effective immediately there is a zero tolerance policy on any form of abuse towards staff, moderators or other Community members.

Anyone posting a personal attack on staff, moderators or other Community members will, at the sole discretion of staff or moderators, be banned from the BioWare Social Network without notice and is no longer welcomed."

Learn to read and you can keep yourself unbanned....

Preventing this Problem is very simple as i've seen it just about anywhere only use the store at Multiplayer Menu and stock pile your Credits and stuff until you can visit the store, Wheres my "Easy Button(That was easy)"

They know of the issue because its just about everywhere, its going in Game Informer, its on Twitter i think its on Facebook, its on just about everything right now its hard to ignore this bug is now like a small Daycare it's hard as hell to miss because its making so much noise to the public.

It seems like the most basic QA testing should have taken care of this issue. Lost everything a moment ago. Let's just say I've lost interest. I had a Quarian Infiltrator with a decent sniper rifle, lots of medi-gel etc.

Bioware, this is unacceptable. Real money is being paid here.

QA testers, no matter how good, aren't gonna catch everything. Stuff happens. What matters is how the company deals with a problem after it happens.

So far, we haven't gotten any promise of resolution or compensation. As another poster said, EA/Bioware are still trying to decide how to deal with this.

Thing is, in a crisis situation, there's only a limited window to respond before people get really pissed off. The longer they stay silent, the angrier people are gonna be.

Last year's PSN issues meant I'm no longer making online purchases over my PS3 - I didn't even grab their so-called welcome-back package. After last year's Blackberry outage, all folks in my household are going Apple or Android.

This ME3 multiplayer thing isn't anywhere as serious as those cases, but it shows how consumer confidence can be lost.

Hi there.  I am intimately familiar with software "QA testing" (bugtesting is the laymans term we use, for those of us not so hoighty-toighty).  Its true bugtesting simply won't catch EVERYTHING.  The key is finding enough that will limit the frequency of what is found by players, and in the case of possible data loss or corruption, safeguards are put in place, such as server backups or some kind of record keeping.  Especially should be the case of EA where they have so many resources available at their disposal to aid Bioware.  (supposedly some kind of backup was kept on player equipment on the servers, which shows they're not entirely clueless)

The sheer amount of people with this problem and the ease of reproduction of the bug... and the fact that it is a bug associated with the #1 worst possible thing that could happen to a customer... shows an extreme lack of time put into bugtesting.  Plain and simple.  Bioware was probably in a huge rush to get the game out, and not very much bugtesting was done.

I agree,
Coming from a guy who has been apart of so many forum communities Flaming is the thing i've seen the most people getting banned for and constantly repeating "I wont ever play Multiplayer, or by a bioware or Ea game again" wont do anything but make you look like a child not getting their way... as my parents would say ,"Grow up and Wait it out"

I have been all up in this thread since getting hit by this bug and I have yet to see anyone make a personal attack on anyone so I don't know why you felt it was necessary to point that out.

Part of the reason I am so upset by this is that EA support lied to me twice on the issue. That and no official communication beyond the original post of this thread.

I did say i've seen Attacks on several posts not in here but all over the forums, and there was a post that someone typed in here stating they would never play mass effect again because of this bug, in a way thats an attack..

I'm pissed off for being pushed around from Rep to Rep, i've lost money yes but as the saying goes "It's just a game" i know real money makes it more of a serious matter but i doubt everyone is lying about helping the customers who lost money get it back weither its in the form of Microsoft Points, Items, Or the Datat back.

Saying that you refuse to continue using a product because you find that product unsatisfactory is an attack?  Learn something new everyday.  <_<

As I was hit with the bug 2 times already. Alt+F4 out of the game as soon as the bug hits will not help. It seems to lock your unlocks at the same moment the N7 screen shows up.

I really wish I had seen this thread yesterday...

Lost all my stuff last night after hitting lv 20. Lost a match, N7 splash screen, then a new Starter Pack? All my stuff, gone. Just a lv 20 Vanguard with stock weapons and no items.

Has anyone playing on PS3 experienced this bug yet? Everyone seems to be from PC or 360...
