I'd be completely pissed about this if I had no idea how difficult it is to find problems in thousands of lines of codes. Also what I meant by 9AM eastern bioware is in western time so it was like 6AM where they at >:|
I am very well aware of that as I work in that particular area myself. But that's no excuse to leave a gamebreaking bug like this alone while still charging for the service that doesn't work.
I loved every minute of ME3 I have played so far (except that one frustrating minute I spent trying to climb down a ladder), and I loved ME 1 and 2 as well. Perhaps that's why it bothers me so much that they decide to go and spoil my good mood by releasing multiplayer in this state.
That said, I don't envy the people who have to deal with the potential timing issues or whatever's involved in this bug. I still have face imprints on my desk from the last time I had to fix such an issue.

My chat with EA....
Nitin:
Thanks for contacting EA Help! My name is Nitin how may I help you?
you:
Hey, I have a little problem with Mass Effect 3 multiplayer.
Nitin:
May I please have your first and last name to update our database?
you:
Mike ---------------
Nitin:
So what is your issue Mike ?
you:
I bought some Bioware points and used them in the multiplayer mode, to get some in-game items.
you:
Shortly after that, everything reset, now I've got nothing.
Nitin:
Reset from your end ?
you:
I'll clarify a little. All of the items, characters, modifications, etc that I have acquired by playing multiplayer and using Bioware points are gone.
Nitin:
From your end or on their own ?
you:
I suppose their end. It's a client/server based system. I guess everything in their database has been reset.
Nitin:
I'll do my best to fix this for you.
Nitin:
Please give me just a moment while I look into this further.
you:
Thanks!
Nitin:
Please give me just a moment while I look into this further.
Nitin:
I'm still looking into your issue. Thanks for your patience.
Nitin:
Thank you for waiting. I appreciate your patience. Which item are missing ?
you:
More than I can count. It reset ALL of the progress that I had made, down to nothing. I had purchased 10 "specter" packs, and several others as well.
Nitin:
Please provide the information that which one are missing .
you:
How could I find exact information?
you:
A lot of the things that I lost were items that I did not even have the chance to use or look at.
Nitin:
Please give me just a moment while I look into this further.
you:
Ok. It's impossible for me to know which ones I had. I did lose 1600 Bioware points in the process though.
Nitin:
Please give me just a moment while I look into this further.
Nitin:
Thank you for waiting. I appreciate your patience. I am providing you a link. Please visit the link :

you:
Ok, I have seen this page already. Thanks for the tip. But I need to recover my lost things.
Nitin:
Please give me just a moment while I look into this further.
Nitin:
Thank you for waiting. I appreciate your patience. Please provide the name of any 2 or more item so that we can check it.
you:
Ok, I had unlocked a Quarian Engineer, several upgrades for the M-3 pistol, several upgrades for the M-23 Katana, level 3 Graal Spike Thrower
you:
There were several other weapons and characters that I probably cannot think of.
Nitin:
Okay.
you:
I also had 20 or more missiles, 20 or more ammunition recharges, a few medi-gels
you:
A ton of weapon/armor temporary mods
Nitin:
Please give me just a moment while I look into this further.
Nitin:
Thank you for waiting. I appreciate your patience. I would suggest you to post on official game forums.
Nitin:
Thank you for contacting EA. Is there anything else I can help you with today?
you:
So there isn't anything you can do to help?
Nitin:
There is no way to trace it from our end.
you:
Can you perform a time-based rollback?
Nitin:
As I didn't understand you. So, I request you to please elaborate once again.
you:
Can you return my database entries to their state as of 2 hours ago?
Nitin:
As I didn't understand you. So, I request you to please elaborate once again.
you:
What I am asking is this: Is there a way that you can alter my database entries to a snapshot from approximately two hours ago?
Nitin:
I am still not able to understand you.
you:
Ok, I'll look for help elsewhere.
Nitin:
Thank you for contacting EA. I appreciate your time. Have a great day.

While in the lobby people were taking their time 'Ready'ing up so I decided to visit the store... because it's an option that is given to you. My lobby readied and the game started while I was in the store (of course now I know that's a bad thing).
While in game, all of my items were missing which was extremely strange to me. After the mission I got the same N7 screen everyone is getting and all of my items are lost.
If I didn't use Microsoft points to buy 'Spectre Packs' - I think I could get over the fact that I lost all my weapons and unlocks... maybe.
I am very unhappy that there has not been updates on this issue for a few days now.
What BioWare SHOULD do is give us the packs that we have purchased with Microsoft points and in game currency. I would be okay with that.

ongoing issue other Mass Effect 3 gamers are having with losing items
(i.e. weapons, packs, etc.) while on multiplayer. EA Representative Mr.
Charles was very professional on the handling of my concern, but there
was of course, nothing he could immediately do. I did believe this to be
the case for he was not a developer of the game as far as I knew.
However, I do wish that there are ways to track & restore what
gamers/fans had prior to it being lost/deleted while still
maintaining/getting to keep anything acquired after. If Bioware/EA want
to compensate all affected individuals with extra items/stuff that is up
to them, of course, but I do not demand or expect such. I do however,
expect this issue to be attended to & solved within reasonable time
and that all my fellow gamers having encountered and/or encountering
this issue/problem are refunded their "Real Life/Physical Money" they
may have spent. I do wish that consideration is given overall to the
time & effort made by all gamers involved to attain their in-game
valuables regardless of how we chose to spend on the in-game store (i.e
MS points or in-game earned credits).
Respectfully & patiently,
Caribbean Fever

I'm pissed off for being pushed around from Rep to Rep, i've lost money yes but as the saying goes "It's just a game" i know real money makes it more of a serious matter but i doubt everyone is lying about helping the customers who lost money get it back weither its in the form of Microsoft Points, Items, Or the Datat back.
Saying that you refuse to continue using a product because you find that product unsatisfactory is an attack? Learn something new everyday.
Yes its a form of a attack because its like you're blackmailing them into giving your items back its like you're saying, "give me what i want or ill make you lose money" its not professional in anyway.
If they were you rollback the servers that would cause more problems then anything because they would have to set the rollback to about the day the game came out because everyone experienced this problem at different times, and it would delete players items they had recieved after that date. And a rollback wouldn't change a few players like a Private Server on World or Warcraft or something it would effect THE WHOLE WORLD like Millions of people not just 1,000 or 10,000 but MILLIONS! it seems all the Reps i talk to are sticking to the story of the data is still there it just has to be reconnected to your Gamertag/EA Account i doubt they all got into a meeting and decided on making a "Massive Lie" to Customers that keep their company up and running.
***Updated***
The game is not even a week old and it sometimes takes alot of "Players" to find bugs because you have 3 types of players.
These players can be used to find abnormal amounts of bugs it just takes alot of messing around to find them. I mean no one experienced it in the demo because only a few people played it, but when the game came out within the first 3 days this bug accured maybe the game testers or the bug sniffing dog didn't find it whoever was testing these things, i mean this bug only accures when you make a mistake for all we know the bug sniffing dog was looking for other things and skipped over this.

Can't believe there hasn't been a public update about this being resolved, or a shutdown of the store. I thought Bioware had learned from the DA2 launch debacles, but I gave them too much credit too quickly.

I don't think you really understand what blackmail is for one, but it's awesome that you are trying.
And I have not seen a single person ask for a server rollback. You keep coming in here making arguments about things nobody is saying.
The fact is people paid money for Bioware Points to unlock a lot of these items and characters. EA/Bioware has not offered any sort of compensation or information beyond "We aware there is this bug!". There is no warning in the game and so far no attempts to mitigate the damage. The longer they don't say anything the more people will be affected by this bug. They are compounding the damage right now and rightfully people are upset that they spent money on a product that isn't up to par. It is our right as consumers to say "Hey I paid good money for this and this sucks!".
