Okay you must not know how to read for one, because i said in prevous statements that Theres others topics and sections with this bug imformed in it like tech support maybe you should surf more and you wont be quick to post about me not being right... I'm not some Post count spammer i read up on anything dealing with this issue maybe you should take the time you would spend on your post to surf different topics and sections.. Kthxbye

Although the bug doesn't just happen when you ready and game starts while you have the store up, it would've been nice if they put it on the ingame menu news feed thing that there's a problem. Would've at least reduced the chance of the bug from happening to a lot of ppl

Lost everything on the xbox, right before a round. I believe I was in a menu, not sure though. Very strange to start the round with no items. Once the round ended, the round recap screen was fused with the "welcome to multiplayer!" message.

I too, would like to see more BioWare updates on what's going on here.

I have the same issue, bugged out and lost all my upgrades, including cash paid for BW bought items. I am down about 24 hours worth of points.

24x60=1440 1440%17.5=82.28 82.28x17000=1,398,760

24 hours
60 minutes per hour
17.5 minutes per round.  i am still playing bronze level......   :(  but never seem to lose
average of 17000 credits earned per round.

Credits lost 1,398,760 not counting the 20$ i spent on BW points.

It also happens if your in the middle of unlocking a pack and the sever leader leaves the game....

There are reports that folks did experience this bug during the demo, however by the time I started playing the demo they had already implemented a feature that forced a player out of ready status when entering the store. Clearly, that patch missed main launch.

Furthermore, if MP items are stored on a database or server-side flat file system, then the restoration process is quite possible. However, manipulating a DB is not something an ordinary CS person can do without having access to some sort of specifically built application. If such an application does exist, it will need to be modified to allow CS users to perform alterations on player data, and probably some training on how to use the new functionality. So basically, it is going to take some time to get your stuff back.

The silver lining in the case of this DB scenario might be in the way data is stored. Users have reported that re-unlocked weapons have retained their mods. Anomalies like this can be queried against for validity and perhaps even allow for automated restoration in many cases. In addition, transaction logs can also be checked and since there there are no valid transactions that would delete non-consumable items from a user's data, anomalies can be found here as well.

So, if done correctly, I have confidence that all can be fixed in time. Patience is a virtue, after all. However, this should be the sort of reassurance provided by an EA/Bioware representative and not from a player.

When i played the demo it said you cant buy form store in ready and disabled the RT ready option... i played the demo when it first was out and this wasn't a issue but i quit after it was a week away from release. i think they could implament a "Auto Un-ready" settign when you hit "Store" that i think would break this issue but thats to one of the ways to break it im not sure what else causes it.

Same thing happened to me.  For whatever its worth to bioware the last thing I did was in the middle of a game - the host left or DCd and the box popped up saying it migrating it and restarting the round.  I hit the exit button next to it because I wasn't interested playing a man down then BAM I get the new player screen and everything gone.  Retained the 56k credits I had on me and the experience of my 6 human classes and thats it.

Happened to me a little over 24 hours ago (forum account activation lag....). Lost everything. 1600 BO points, plus several matches worth of credits. All my weapons, upgrades, equipment, modifications, etc.

I noticed that the opening post says not going in the store when ready and accepting invites when in the store might reduce the chance of this bug occurring. So, we have an idea of how the bug occurs?

This issue happened to me Sunday afternoon around 1700, I think. I was in the lobby with three friends trying to use Microsoft points to purchase a spectre box between matches. The purchase went through, but the box never downloaded. Two matches later the download finished when I went back to the store to buy a veteran box with earned mission credits. I got a welcome to the N7 Special Ops screen with a free starter pack. When I went to check my character my skill level and experience remained. However, all equipment, weapons, and character unlocks were gone.

Normally, I'm a reader not a poster so I had to wait to post in here what happened on Sunday (first time poster). I tried to recall everything as best I could. Its very frustrating knowing I want to play with my friends online, but I don't want to lose everything again. I tried the forums here and at EA. I took part in the EA game advisor chat. After many minutes going back and forth and waiting I was told to go to the forums for answers.

I hope all my data can be restored.

Both myself and my roommate have now had this horrible bug happen. If it's 2/2 in my household I can only imagine how widespread it may be for the rest of the community since the majority won't post in the forums about it.

I have one question:
Is it safe to make purchases after being afflicted with this bug?

Since we have no way of knowing how or even if we will be reimbursed, I've been terrified to spend any earned points. For example, we could re-unlock what we already had before and end up wasting our points when it is reimbursed. It's difficult to capture just how frustrating it is to play games with weak default weapons and no hope of reward while other people can easily dispatch cannon-fodder enemies that take multiple clips for me to kill.

I hope we receive some sort of update, or at the bare minimum an in-game warning about the issue so people have a chance of avoiding the problem before it occurs.

I'm probably sounding like a broken record at this point, but this is my problem: how EA and Bioware is dealing with this. Any business will encounter unexpected problems. What matters is how you respond to your customers when things go wrong. Right now, I'm in the same boat as you - frustration and uncertainty.

Now, one poster here was told over the phone that our data still exists on the servers. It'll just take time to reconnect it with our accounts. That's great news, if it's true. But I shouldn't need to hear about this second-hand from another player. I should be hearing it from EA/Bioware.

Acyl is right. Another player told me about this thread in another game actually (ON STEAM), not even in ME3/through origin chat, long after it was happening to other players.

If they cared EA/BioWare should have told us ASAP on the news feed thing in the game or through email. I got the 50% off spring sale from EA/Origin, so why not something about the multiplayer that can also result in real money being lost, basically stolen at this point?

What also bothers me on a side note is if this multiplayer bug hadn't happened and something else I probably can't post here that's related to this franchise, I'd have taken advantage of that sale and bought the first Dragon Age and a couple other games that I won't now.

Just happened to me now (on PC). Got out of a game and everything, all weapon, mods, equipment, and character unlocks were gone. The only things that's left are class levels and credits. I've lost a good 15+ hours of progression, and probably my current Krogan Soldier, to this horrible bug. Not to mention my Graal Spike Thrower, which was incredily satisfying to use, and a slew of other weapons, mods, and equipment.

I see no reason to continue playing multiplayer (which I have enjoyed up until this point) with the risk of losing all my data still present. This must be doubly infuriating for those than have spent BioWare or MS points on these unlock packs, only to have them disappear. This issue is perturbing to say the least, but this lack of a statement or fix from EA/BioWare at this point is unacceptable.

I expect to see everyone's data restored and this issue abolished over the next few days.
