Here the information on me:
My identification name Jedi_lDZl
Played day of release of 3/6/2012
Has started to play approximately + - 30 minutes 20:00.
Played about 7 times bronze + - 1.
Has won 6 consecutive times, has then played 3 games on silver (has won 1 time) and if I am not mistaken one game on gold (has lost).
Precisely I remember that bought for all time of game in day of release 3 of a chest of Spectra.
There the Arc pistol, a shot-gun Kroganov, and a shot-gun which has got to me at successful attack knocks down, I do not remember the name.
In general I have lost 180 000 credits, can and more but these are trifles, have simply spent a great lot of time for it and it would would be desirable that I was returned simply only by credits and all.
Also it would be desirable to learn, returning of credits won't affect a condition of my achievements at present?
I do not want you to complicate, and to represent the clever man, but can you will make that that of questionnaire type where it is necessary to fill out the identification name, date, time and the list of that that was gone, in avoidance of unnecessary complaints and misunderstandings.
Thanks for attention.

Not sure, probably was. It wouldn't allow you to be ready and in the store at the same time in the demo so I thought that I wasn't doing anything wrong. Guess that didn't make it into retail.

You want to tell what weren't in any lobby, and haven't created the room.
Have pressed shop and at you all was gone, describe in detail that has occurred, any information will be important that others wouldn't have the same.
I will be very grateful.
Also I condole with you in loss.

tl;dr version: ENABLE CLOUD SYNC
What happened: He was hosting a game, had readied up but was in one of the menus (I believe Weapons, but it could have been the Store). At the conclusion of the match he had gained a level and a lot of credits (it was Gold). On our mission completion summary, his new level was displayed.
Then as we all went to buy Spectre packs, he leveled up his char's powers quickly and went to the store. Surprisingly, none of his credits from the match were present. Then in the lobby, we all noticed he was back at his prior level. But when he looked at Powers, his upgrades were present and he had negative points to spend. Nobody else in this game experienced any such issues.
After a lengthy conversation with an EA rep, he believes this entire issue is due to cloud sync issues. The sync apparently happens when you BEGIN a game, but being in the Store and some other behaviors also queues up a check. If on a console or if cloud sync is DISabled, the normal behavior is to fail and use the local save. However, when a match begins while a prior check is pending/active, it doesn't revert to local - and this is the cause of the wipes. However, in his case, BECAUSE HE HAD CLOUD SYNC ENABLED IT DID NOT WIPE - IT JUST REVERTED ONE MATCH.
If this is true, the wipes are because cloud sync is trying to find a prior save that does not exist; it believes therefore you haven't started multiplayer and voila, N7 intro screen and everything reset.
To confirm or deny this, I would very much appreciate those that have experienced this on PC to state if they had cloud sync enabled at time of wipe or not. While it isn't much help to the consolers, confirming this would be a massive help to the PC community.

I talked with one of their game advisors yesterday, and he said 24-48 hours, but somehow I doubt this.
In a mail from them it stood "case closed", so that wasn't very reassuring.

You won't get your stuff back so just stop playing until this problem has been fixed officially.
To be honest I don't really care about my stuff, I just want my $20 back... (Or 1600 bioware points) with which I'll buy stuff again...

FFS if they got no record of our items characters etc... They could atleast give us back approximately the amount of credit that we have used on packs.
I would probably not get my precious sniper back or turian sentinel, but atleast we would get some compensation.
And Bioware if you are reading this you should take learning from other companies like Riot etc..
Make a formula or something based on our N7 rating which gives credit back based on our rating, this formula should not be made so that some end up with less credit and some with more, this formula is also ment as an compensation for frustration and lost time. We all should end up a little richer then we was supposed too, especially since the packs are random and we might not get back our favourite characters or items.
That is how you treat your customers when you can't make things how they used to be, or if it will take weeks to fix this, which is way way too long time to wait.

I have a rather detailed report from a friend, part of which I directly observed, who was affected by a partial version of this bug, and a POTENTIAL workaround for the PC (not for other platforms).

It's a nice theory, but unfortunately it doesn't hold up.
That "partial" bug you mention seems to be a different kind of bug altogether and doesn't seem to be related to losing your unlocks or having cloud sync on/off.
For example I have cloud sync disabled and I've had both the bug where I lost the levels and credits I gained in the last match (which was fixed by restarting the game btw) and I've also lost all my unlocks (which ofcourse isn't fixed by restarting).
The other problem with the theory is that it assumes that cloud saving does anything during multiplayer at all. Usually the sole purpose of a cloud saving feature is to upload client-side savedata to the server for easy backup and sharing. To my knowledge all savedata of your levels, credits and unlocks in multiplayer is already stored serverside, so unless EA's cloud sync does more than it says on the tin, I don't see why it would have any bearing on multiplayer.
Edit: That doesn't mean there might not be some truth to core parts of the theory, like certain actions queueing up a check (of the savedata) which, if interrupted at the wrong moment, could end up reverting (part of) that savedata to a blank state or an earlier state. This would explain the reports of people losing their unlocks as a result of crashes, disconnections, host migrations, etc.
If this is correct, then it's quite disturbing that there are no contingencies in place or that the contingencies aren't working properly. Especially since this is a feature people can sink real money into.

I sincerely hope so, but atm I'm fearful the response from EA/Bioware is "It's a feature not a bug" and we won't have our credits and/or bioware points returned.

I am assured that dear employees BioWare, will shortly rectify an error. Then will return our credits and points BioWare.
It is necessary to wait only, perseverance wins :innocent:
