I love how people are missing the point of it being fixed. Ya'll are impatient. Expect stuff to just happen at the snap of a finger. Which may be true for PC, but for console it's a huge complicated hoop jumping system.

That being said, I see 2 outcomes that are possible, possibly even a 3rd...

#1. All our stuff is restored. No rollbacks or anything like that.
#2. We reopen all the packs that got relocked on us, and are at the mercy of the RNG.
#3. If neither 1 or 2 can be done, they refund credits and/or points.

My opinion, for what it's worth: People who are upset that BioWare isn't being more forthcoming about a fix for this are justified in complaining, loudly. That said, people who are upset that this hasn't been fixed already are being a little naive and have no idea what would be involved on the technical side of engineering and delivering such a fix. Nor do I, really.

BioWare apparently says that our stuff still exists in the databases and isn't lost permanently. That is good enough for me. If that turns out not to be true and whatever fix they come up with can't restore stuff that we've earned, that will be very disappointing, to say the least, but BioWare is a reputable company. Especially if you spent real money, you should have no doubt that whatever fix they come up with isn't going to screw you out of what you paid for.

That said, anyone who expects a refund of money or MS/Bioware points is not being realistic. To my knowledge that has never happened before. The best case scenario is that you're going to get all your stuff back, soon. The worst case scenario is that people who spent real money will get a bunch of credits for what they purchased. Keep your fingers crossed, everybody, and have patience! This will all be over soon enough. In the grand scheme of things, having your full enjoyment of the multiplayer experience of this game set back a week or two isn't really a big deal. That is all!

edit: MEMANIAsama said it better and shorter!

I expect not to be lied to by EA support and actual communication from EA/Bioware representatives. Apparently my expectations were too high.

In the Origin client there is a transaction history, you can look at it right now.

If you unlock a character you already had, they retain all your details you had put into them, this is evidence enough that the stuff still exists and is merely bugged. (at least on the 360)

As with the 20+ pages of responses, mine is much the same as everyone elses. I entered a match with my Black Widow, and noticed my mods were not on the weapon. After the match, my weapons and unlocks were entirely reset, save for the Quarian Infiltrator I had been using. If I switch from him, I know I'll lose that as well.

I lost several unlocks as well on top of this, Krogan Soldier, Drell Adept, Salarian Engineer to name a few, countless attachments and many ammo/rocket packs. My unlocked characters and my Black Widow are of prime concern, the latter I'm sure is understood due to it's rarity. Any record of me having the unlock can be found in in-game files easily i'm sure.

I'll be avoiding multiplayer on the whole until the issue is resolved, or at least a response is given. I am a huge fan of the series, and fell in love with the multiplayer in this game, it's a shame to see a large bug like this make it through to the release. Patience is key naturally on the end of the players, but so is communication and swiftness on Bioware's end.

I am a PC Player, Origin name: gananok

Sincerely, desperately waiting for a fix

Generally thats how a body works.

Of course if the left hand is in India and has only the most basic grasp of English then things get a bit more complicated, but I was unaware of this situation until this whole debacle.

As one who has worked as a technical support agent before, I find some of the opinions expressed on these forums amusing. Often, the technical support agent doesn't even work for the company in question, but for a third party, a customer care company. I do not know if this is the case with EA or not, but, I think it is more likely that EA contracts out its customer support to such a company, than that they do it all in-house.

So are we getting our stuff back? I spent so much time getting credits (earning them not buying them with biopoints) it took me about 10-15 hours in multiplayer to get the stuff I had and now its ALL gone. I really want a reasponse on WHAT your going to do for the people who have lost eveything not just the paying customers who buy biopoints but your paying customers who bought the game and spent their hard earneed time into the game unlocking things as well?!

Ran into this today too. Accidentally clicked on the Store button before a match, match loaded, when match ended, lost all my stuff but my Asari Vanguard. Thank goodness I've only used the Credits, I'd be pissed off knowing that monetary purchases are going down the crapper.

I bought about 1760 Bioware points worth of packs (I had 3200 to spend) and got a bunch of items, weapons, characters, etc. (Purchased only Spectre packs)

My game crashed during a multiplayer game and I logged into find the starter packs back. Then I went to look at my equipment and everything is gone, mods and all.
And all my unlocked characters are gone as well but my level remained the same.

I lost $20 worth of points =(

I contacted EA via Live Chat and they said they can't reimburse, otherwise they would have done it already the first few minutes I talked to them.

All they said was to post in the forums and let Bioware know what happened. I really hope this gets fixed for all of us. I'm sure everyone enjoys this game's SP and MP.

you need to keep emailing and calling, they owe you 20 dollars, period.

Most people tend to have different perspectives of the issues... its hard to speculate their situation or their issue, but i certainly agree as well. Having no idea of actually game editing/fixing could be a major reason why somone would say HALF of what everyone else is saying. In which they have a right to, their spending their hard earn money on a product that SHOULD be working by all accounts, but isn't. In my opinion the CUSTOMER makes the company not the company.... without these guys bioware is just a figure of imagination, so opinionized people are really expected to prevent future issues. I lost my items DAYS ago and i dont have the time nor patience to complain every few minutes but it really would be enjoyable to recieve back what you purchased. Whether its in the form of credits or what you already HAD! and if not its more like a scam on bioware part because this is a MAJOR ISSUE, that involves REAL MONEY.

The thing that has me concerned;
I haven't seen any formal acknowledgement of a problem, yes alright there are some ropey discussions with Origin support, but nothing solid like "hey we're working on it, just bear with us"

and there in lies the problem, I suspect the problem lies with Origin (which is a joke frankly, but that's another matter). EA are the ones hosting the MP which pretty much leaves us at their mercy, and that is a scary place to be tbh.

all I can say is; regardless of how much you have lost everyone who gets the problem should put more pressure on EA to sort their serverside out.

Also the unfournate part about that is we are told by EA, "Not to call them, talk to Bioware" but the issue im having is where to talk to them? and get a valid or more understandable reply back. Its a bit sketchy if you ask me, the case tells you to contact EA but they tell you not to contact them, contact Bioware.... then its a loop to loop of what we should do.

Yeah, most games (with way larger player bases to manage) I play,  keep us informed nonstop when there are technical issues. Even that horrible Second Life game which is notorious for having the worst customer support ever, at leasts keeps people informed.  Bioware won't respond to twitter now, just keep posting messages about nonsense, that's useless because multiplayer is bugged and not worth playing in that state.
