My guess is that the people who run the "social media" side of Bioware, are just that, Social Media people. They don't know what the code monkeys are up to. They're just there to promote and facebook and tweet. Heck, most of the mods on this forum probably don't know what the code monkeys are up to, it's greek to them.

That being said, I've read multiple people's copy/pasted e-mail replies about how Bioware IS working to resolve the issue, so people just need to chillax and give it more than 6 days. I'd say in about another week we'll be all patched up.

the issue is the total lack of information whats going on from an official bioware member the past 6 days.
i understand things takes thing to fix but jesus christ the lack of updates are beyond this world!
we dont demand a fix we just want info!

And Riot Games is "working" on Magma Chamber.  Analogy aside, I'm very glad that there is a fix beijng worked on, however a bit more transperancy would be ideal.  This glitch is game-breaking for the multi-player, and either an ETA, or even a statement to the tune of "at the latest we'll have a fix by ____" would do wonders for a community of understandably frustrated players. 

Even if it's a day, a week, or longer, I think what people want most is something more concrete than "yep, that's a problem all right"

Accepted a game invite while sitting in the main menu and selected my character, then loading screen, then it prompted me to select my character again. I found this odd but then i played a game and when it was over i got the N7 welcome screen. So my situation had nothing to do with being in the store but never the less I am affected. I know they will find some way to make it up to us I just would like some sort of update from someone who knows anything. This happened to me last thursday and I am unwilling to play until the problem is fixed. I kind of feel alienated from my friends who are still playing it unaffected. I'm not going as far as some other people are going with threats of blackmail and such, just a little frusterated. Just a status update, anything, would be sufficient for the time being. Thank you


Edit: I also noticed that my credits were unaffected.  So i was wondering if anyone knew If i were to play and just stockpile credits for when the problem is fixed if i would lose them or not.

Exactly.

I also think it's a bit shameless to imply that the people who have paid for packs and lost it due to a bug are just being impatient. It has been long enough already with no information about whether they will get their items back or not.

Any words yet on how the wanna play this? Am I save to farm credits or even unlock stuff again? will they reimburse the credits/BW Points or the unlocks itself?

Because if they decide to reimburse credits/BW Points at some point I am perfectly fine waiting, I can keep playing and unlocking stuff and at some point will get a big boost again. But what pisses me off, that I dont know if I play for nothing and they rollback or if I unlock **** and that will get lost when they unlock the same stuff again.

TBH its been a freaking week for some people and those people like myself have been told to wait and we'd hear something only thing we'd heard was a bunch of babble bull**** about they are working on it from someone who claims they know nothing, I mean if they are working on it it does take anymore more time to sign on a forum and tell us their progression then it would to unzip your pants and use a damn toilet I mean I've been cool for awhile and I still am but I am missing out on Gold runs with friends because of this...

I've been fairly confident bioware would make it up to us the whole time to be honest, however they should know that this is a poor way to treat their fans. Maybe we are just spoiled by other developers letting us know whats going on but it generates a lot more loyalty than silence on a game breaking issue like this. Even if they just said we still aren't sure how to fix it and all our coders on vacation after our big release, at least then we would know whats up and that would content me at least.

Hello guys. Got this bug too.
Actually, not the first bug i'm experiencing. (The first was an epic fail with missing bonus DLCs, solved now.)

Chat log with support about item reset (also, my unlocked chars became locked)

Lost over 15 spectre packs, 7 veteran packs, and 4 unlocked chars, though i have no time to play multiplayer.
Few classes were promoted. Not sure if bug affects promotion consequences or not, as the bugs could be not as small as it seems.

Technically, i think, it's impossible for developers to return old profiles (or at least, they will return them from backup, but they will have problems with selecting time of backups, cause everybody have different time of co-op profile reset bug.)

The most logical way for them is giving an bonuce to ppl confirmed by some criteries as owners of wiped co-op account.

I've been stung by this too. I called EA and they said that Bioware knows about it but that there's nothing they can do. Pretty annoying! I had them put a note on my account, and the rep said that if Bioware cannot return my money/credits EA will try and make it up to me. We shall see...

just had the same **** happening to me , EA live support just said " dont worry it will be fine"  after that i just ended the conversation  and told myself  "why do i even bother",  i dont care about the ammount of cash i bought points for , but i want to get treated like an customer not a child.

I don't know about how other ppl got reseted (some say "don't buy while being ready in lobby"), but be careful with the starter pack. Used it 2 days after playing online & got a reset. Right now I don't even try to buy something out of paranoia

If nothing else, these are as certain as it gets:

1) You will not be screwed out of what you have paid for.
2) You will NOT get a refund of points/money (as far as I know, the physical mechanism to do this does not even exist).

In chat with the support again, but they use extremely long time to answer.

Nice, they just randomly canceled the chat...

Well, i had like 10 spectre packs bought, before this awesome **** happened to me. None of them was bought with Biowarepoints, all with ingame credits. If Bioware will come up with a solution, that leaves me without an reimbursement of credits / equip then you can be sure, that this really awesome game is done for me. Playing for like 30 hours, just to get raped by a bug? no thanks..

Same here, 10 spectre packs after 22hours. What's even worse, yesterday I promoted a character to single and hasn't checked on him until this misfortune. And yeah, didn't get any mail or war asset update. Sending a rescue party to limbo shall we, perhaps. Seriously, even older games have some kind of rollback system...

5 Specter Packs 20 Veteran here. At this point after 6 days and only a generalised E-mail. One which was prob sent to everyone who talked to a CS rep. I am seriously going to have to reconsider spending any more money on BioWare's DLC or games. An that sucks because I personally love their games. Bought everyone since Baldur's Gate. However this lack of any communication is not something I would have expected. Atleast not on an issue that involves so many. An their missing money / items.

So. Well. Ive lost my: M-98 Widow II, Turian Soldier, Drell Vanguard, Quarian Engineer, M-37 Falcon II.
Not to mention all the mods.

I would like to have these things back ASAP if that is possible.

No idea how many boxes I'd purchased, I got a weird game overlay thing at the end of the mission (As in, the starter Multiplayer screen showed up OVER the medals at the end). And thought... oh this is NOT good.

I know I'd bought at least 1 spectre pack with Bioware points and I lost 4 characters (Turian Soldier, Quarian Infiltrator, Salarian Engineer and Asari Vanguard). The weird thing was, I clicked for a new recruit pack, and got the Asari back immediately (I just finished a game with that character). And it already has the points spent exactly how I had them before the mission. I noticed something strange in the mission with my weapon (Katana Shotgun) missing it's blade and Smart Choke Attachment. It also only had 20 shots (Whereas the Lv 3 one I had contained 22). I know for a fact I popped into the shop literally about 2 seconds before the game started because I was waiting on friends and they said there was a new crate. Just a shame I've lost those weapons and unlocks... Mantis 7 etc.

Sucks, but I guess I can't really do anything about it. I didn't know about this bug when I went into the store otherwise I would not have done that action. One of my friends is now refusing to play Multiplayer in case this happens to him as well. He's gotten a LOT of crates from Bioware points... So I understand his point of view.

BTW, European player here... Doubt it makes a difference but still.

I am really, really surprised a BioWare rep hasn't at least checked in for the past six days. That's pretty bad. I'm mildly annoyed since I was using credits, but for the people that paid to unlock kits, yikes.
