I'm also rather pissed that they introduced a third buyable pack with nothing but consumable equipment which can just as easily disappear. Then again I'm just pissed in general at the situation.

Actually, quite the opposite. It's guaranteed the servers are going down - for half an hour. That's what the Bioware post says. But far as I can tell, they've said nothing about there being a patch. It's described as a maintenance period.

Maybe this problem with our hard-earned stuff going poof will be fixed on Friday, but I wouldn't count on it.

I've also been hit by this bug. I wouldn't have been so pissed off if the representative I was talking to feigned ignorance of the issue ("This is a gameplay issue, you have contacted ea support. Please refer to our gameplay guides on the website for help") twice even after referring them to the forums ("Here is a link to our EA forums if you would like to read posts about our community") and then only acknowledged the problem and assured me they were taking care of it after I told them I lost bioware points.
I've canceled my TOR subscription and refunded the copy I was giving to my buddy. Even after having worked for EA I should have known better than to support the company I often refer to as "evil" due to my first-hand experience with them.

Yeah I cancelled SWTOR too in relation to everything that's happened with Mass DEFECT 3. I had a community rep tell me to "post to the community" but I don't want answers from the community, I want them from BioWare, the people who made the game. The issue is critical and they are waiting until Friday to do some sort of maintenance... It should have been done today/tonight if necessary.

I dislike how some studios do these things right before the weekend too, then everything still goes wrong for the whole weekend, spoiling it for everyone. Today/tonight is when they should have done this maintenance. No offense either, but they need a better community rep who actually talks to the community. Being that I freelance in the industry or know people who work for other studios, BioWare in comparison to how the people I know handle things, is very unprofessional.  I want to play the game, I want to know what happened to all the money I lost and I get no answers and due to money being involved, and people in this thread and all over the internet in other forums waiting anxiously for answers for several days now, you'd think they'd do this maintenance tonight, or even sooner since evidence of the bug existed in the demo itself.

Then the worst thing about it all is, they didn't put an in-game message, streaming on the alliance computer, warning people. The person at BioWare who started this thread said it was related to the store and readying games but the bug has happened while playing or not even in a match, or not even connected to a  host (like me), it can happen from what I've read in this thread almost anywhere and at any time. Items just disappear, Bioware points balance vanishes.  I didn't even learn about this through BioWare or their publisher EA or the Origin client. I heard about it through a person on Steam. It's sad that AFTER I lost things,  I was shown a thread many days old about this bug that I could have avoided,  if BioWare/EA had done the responsible thing and notified it's customers. The only communication I saw from EA was about some 50% spring sale...

Why is everyone saying that the Friday maint period will address our problems? Was there a Bioware post that I missed? I mean, far as I know they're referring to the Friday downtime as "offline for maintenance" with no specifics. If I'm wrong, please correct me.

This goes back to the whole lack of communication.We haven't been told anything, so we're hoping Friday will fix this. Maybe it might. Maybe it won't. We don't know. Personally, I hope it will, but I'm not counting on it.

30 mins downtime sound like a lot of hard work coming very soon..... I mean it could include them giving all players effected by this credits...

I was a tech man on a wow pserver and a few other games I know if they are editing data files for them to take effect it requires a server restart so maybe all this silence is them actually working but they still have a lot let and on Friday they plan to restart the server an make a few minor details to ensure this won't happen again, with that being said I will continue to play multiplayer unlocking stuff...


I've gotten 4 different level 10 items. Avenger, Predator, Shrunken, almost the Mantis.

4 times is a lot it could be several things,

- Doing on purpose
- Haven't learned how to prevent yet
- Not paying attention.

I'm not talk bad about you but it happened once and I'm very Cautious about it happening again, I only play with people know and I never ready up.....unless I'm 100% ready....

My friends have started talking less about ME3 multiplayer when I'm around. As one buddy puts it, this is "out of respect for the fallen".

Hopefully it'll take less than two years for Cerberus to restore my unlocks.

Im just throwing in my two cents in hopes that i might get something back outa this. I am level 127 and now dont have a single unlock...i could have kept using my krogan sentinel except i switched to an infiltrator and then relized everythings gone... :,( i accumalted probably about 10 to 20 spectre packs along with a couple veterans. hope its fixed soon... best of luck to the staff

All its doing is after a mission is completed or failed its giving me the welcome screen, this has nothing to do with me entering the store ever

i want my credits back not my unlocks cause as ive stated before ive unlocked the same item/characters multiple times after having lost it, if Bioware wanted to do it right, theyd give us credits back

 Hello, I have the same problem. Happened today at around 5:30 am (
CET (UTC+1) ).
I was told by Origin staff to contact you here. I wouldn't really mind this bug if I didn't spend BW points in MP.

I've gone and just lost everything that was 70 dollars worth of stuff >_> I kept buying Spectre packs so I'd have all characters unlocked now its all gone.

So I don't know if we have to post our grievances in this forum in the hopes of getting our items back. But if/when Bioware and EA get their act together, give us some news and feel so generous as to reimburse their paying customers Bioware points/in-game items I want my name on the list. This glitch has happened to me twice now and it's just ridiculous. Is there any other news in regards to this bug? I cant say I'm inclined to browse through 28 pages of rage posts (mine included); I hope the 30 minutes of downtime will address this issue.

Clearly more patient than I. ;) I really do hope they get this problem fixed, I've been a fan of bioware for a long, long time but I feel like a certain merger has been a detriment to their success. This bug seems like something basic Q&A would have discovered.

I've done some snooping in this thread and I've seen many different way the bug has effected people, I think they have to fix not just one problem to nuke this bug but they have to figure out each way this bug is pinged and fix it because fixing one will only cause a new way to appear, I've been infected by this bug for 8 days now ans I've held strong.

I know it tough but I guess I'm just lucky to not be completely infected by the bug like most people,

Bioware will respond soon I have a gut feeling and its never let me down before.

Yes it does, it is simple coding issue that can easily be fixed. As for my patience, I guess I am. I have nothing better to do with my time :/ its 2 am here and I don't sleep usually so yeah I figure good way to kill time.

I got a question that the mods on this site have also refused to answer and thats how do I register a copy of Dragon Age 2 if the copy is a digital copy I bought off the xbox live games on demand marketplace. :( there is no code when buying it like this, though I've played the game online. Because of how they have this forum set up I can't post in the DA2 section when I have issues because I can't register it.

I've lost several items too. Had to wait for 3 days for someone to at least answer me about that problem. Hope they fix it soon, because I don't want to loose anything again. And refunding the credits spent and lost would be great.
