Just after starting up multiplayer and spending my spare BW points on unlocking stuff, I see this.

I haven't lost anything yet, but I don't even dare to play MP at the moment.

The part I find a bit shocking is that the packs are still for sale for BW points, even though you are not even guaranteed to get anything for your money. Even as a fan of most of BioWare's games and someone who has waited for ME3 a long time, I don't really know how to defend this.

That said, obviously I'm hoping they will fix it ASAP and at the very least provide some status updates or more tips on how to avoid it.

Hopefully I'm wrong, but I highly doubt it will be possible for them to restore the specific items you've unlocked. I also wouldn't expect EA to reimburse anyone unless perhaps someone actually took them to court over it.

You're probably right about that, although they'd be able to see which packs you bought. I think it would be fair in that case to give people the same amount of packs they bought before their characters were wiped.

In any case, it really is such a shame. As much as I hated the idea of giving ME3 a multiplayer component, it turned out during the demo that I actually like it a lot. And now it turns out it doesn't actually work.

termo is right. letting people emptying their pockets for a service they cannot guarantee is truly shocking.

Even more so if you think that's their "thank you" for people buying their products. Imo EA network should be shut down until this issue is resolved.

In case people don't get their bw points refunded I strongly suggest them to stay away from future bw products. Jumping on the team fortress train is one thing, but robbery another topic.

Doubtful you hear anything from them over the weekend. Likely they let people spend their bw points now and apogolise with a fix next week. Once people got rid of all their bw points/arsenal they spend more $ on future dlc. It's called maximizing profit.

At least that's how I would do it if I'd be working for EA. And no I'm not implying this was planned -just taking into consideration :innocent:

.. or they can just be nice and refund me new packs....

either way.. the longer they take there sweet ass time to reply/ acknowledge this to you and me, and expecially the people who dont know... gives us a MUCH better stand in court  / refund.



but honestly i hope it doesnt come to that, Mass Effect 3 is a kick ass game and if they fix this bug it would be great to get back into MP again!!!!

WOW .... i am not the only one having this issue. My items were all reset 1 hour ago.

GOD DAMN IT ......

I am enjoying the game since demo, I started playing MP since the day it was released, I had spend alot of time on the game and reached level 51 and bought quite a few Spectre Boxes and the rest of the Boxes. I had unlock quite abit of weapons and toons.

Just when I finished a round, I got the picture (i borrowed the link from another player > http://i.imgur.com/h6xVU.jpg), end game score chart but with the Welcome to N7 overlaid over it. (i tot ... wow ... more surprise! I click store) The battle summary menu is displayed overlapping with the normal character lobby menu, and I got the screen that says Welcome to the Spec Ops?!?!? (WTF?) My starter pack was shown on the screen like the 1st time i loaded the MP game. Then my game crashed. When I finally loaded my game, I realize I had lost all the weapons which I had unlocked till that point.

Are they going to give back my unlock weapons?

I am RESET to the basic weapons.

Get it FIX or refund back my $$!

Sorry to hear that. However you kissed your money goodbye the moment you
redeemed it... And so will a lot more people this weekend because they
don't care about their customers at all. It's the money that counts.

Redeem or not .... as long u see that screeen, you are f**ked. All items reset.

I know what you mean. That's why I'm so upset about this. I really like the multiplayer and I'm a big fan of the Mass Effect trilogy. So it hurts me when I see fellow me players get scammed like this. And every hour they wait with a fix multiple players will share the same fate.

i saw that screen and didnt redeem.. till i saw it had reset all my ****, then of course i redeemed it....

my next few boxes got me a drell and a geth pulse rifle so hopfully i wont lose these. if so .. ima RAGE :devil: lol

Topher I meant he lost his money when being exchanged for points and later for the item packs. So they definately won't refund his $... But if EA/Bioware have any self respect they will refund the points/items.

Personally if I was you I'd just stop playing for now until this case is solved.

Makora i honestly dont want the money, i really just want my gear packs that i bought... i know i spent my money and thats ok... its just after spending $30 and having it go bye bye, i feel i should get free Specter boxes in that amount.

what they are doing by not telling people about this bug, or removing the buy option they are robbing their customers.. you know..

IT's very easy, you lose your money..you contact your bank/cc/paypal and tell them you want your money back. That's what i'm doing. Yes it's just 27euro but still, if the companies aren't willing to help for their **** ups or cant "see if you really have lost your items so they can't reimburse you the points" (thats an anwer i got...wtf?) then you gotta take care of it yourself.

As a company you have to have some kind of triage for this. Brutal. I know some of the team has surely been out at GDC this week, but this is real money being jacked from a lot of folks. I'll echo the shock at EA still allowing people to purchase packs with cash while this known bug is out there.

Evidently I did not manage to trigger your assassination imprint. Perhaps that would be because it's the wrong character from the show.
