That's the one thing giving me hope that they will fix this issue permanently. There was a bug in Dragon Age Awakening that deleted the main character's entire inventory permanently, that they *never* fixed.Meltemph wrote...
But the thing is, with THIS issue. "We are getting to it" is not really going to cut it. We are not talking about a issue that has the potential to erase save data, we are talking about a issue with the potential to take money. Which either forces people to just give them money in the short term, literally, or contest the charge on their credit card for not receiving a product they paid for.

They should've put a notice on the news feed in the main menu of the game and warn ppl about this.
Warning us of the issue inside the game might prevent some angry players. I too spent $40 on purchasing Bioware points to use in ME3 only to have most of the unlocks missing from my MP game.
I thought I was doing something wrong and that the unlocks would become available after I reached a certain level. Releaved AND disapointed to find out it's more than just me.

My gf gave me a gift of XBL MP cards for christmas and recently so I threw most of it at this game. Now it's gone.
Well... until it's back, I have no interest in the multiplayer.
Dear Bioware,
Why do you learn your (bad) business lessons from EA?

Giving items back is not a solution. Tons of us had this problem happen to us a week ago. We bought/ got items since then. Need refunds.
You encountered the glitch and went back for more?
No wonder EA/Bioware thinks they can get away with silence about this.
(I don't doubt they will try to make good. But the lack of communication/notification is lame.)

Why on earth would you keep playing after a wipe? It must not bother you that much, because you're willing to keep playing knowing full well that it could get wiped again. You're still entitled to a full refund of Bioware points, but your actions show that releasing software like this is ok with you, because you're going to keep playing anyways. Also, if you bought BW points after the fact, you're just a sucker and I have some excellent real-estate you'd be interested in. You're still entitled to a refund of any goods/services not received, but you're still a huge sucker.
I love the ME series as much as any of you, and I check on this several times a day in the hopes that I can get back to the ME3 multiplayer where I left off, but we should also be showing with our actions and our money, not just our words, that this **** will not be tolerated from EA, Bioware or any other company for that matter. Companies tend to listen to you a hell of a lot more when several million dollars are at stake.

So, I should not get my items back and hope for a refund so the RNG might give me the same stuff? I was lucky and gotten some nice stuff, would not be happy seeing me lose that and end up with packs giving me other stuff.
Best-case scenario, would be case by case, where people can either opt for restoring their progress to the moment before the accident or refunds if applicaple. I'll make an educated guess though and say Bioware will opt for the easiest, less costly and quickest solution, which case by case definitely not is.

I love Mass Effect, and the multi-player was a really fun way for me to get some of my friends into the game as well, but out of all my friends to have it, im the only one with a re-locked account. I have been checking for days about any news, which there has been none.
Honestly Bioware has been one of my favorite gaming companies out there since the begining, but this kind of behavior is disgraceful, do they even care?
I think Bioware cares, but does EA?
Either way, if this gets fixed tomorrow odds are many people will stop complaining about it, but the fact that the problem exists, and has not even been addressed is unacceptable, not just because we are spending real money on bits of code, but because it was in the beta, and apparently NOTHING was done about it. I can't play with my friends because i refuse to touch the multiplayer until this is fixed, and i think that's the worst part.
To Bioware, I hope we will get some compensation for this problem, not just because in your hearts you dam well know you owe us some, but because your integrity as a company is at steak, and if you lose that, well then all the trolls and naysayers were right, and EA ripped out your soul. If thats the case, then im done with you, and i can say with certainty that the greediness that i have seen in the past year or so will kill your company, and you will go down in history as game designers that the money hungry mongrels rule you, and fall into obscurity like so many others.
I really hope it won't come to this, and I will be watching, like so many others for a ray of hope from Bioware, all I can do is keep my fingers crossed.

Same. I hope I can play some mp on saturday if no more "lost my stuff" messages show up after the server restart. I want to play what I've paid for already...

I haven't touched multiplayer since the bug got my stuff. It would be very easy, in at least my case, to restore my items. For those who spent Bioware points, a full refund of the points is in order. If you didn't get any Bioware points, I still don't find it unreasonable to give credits and/or other virtual compensation, we're all paying customers. What I find most irritating, as do others, is that there's no official statement about this, or info in the news feed of the game, or anything else about this besides, "Oops, working on it." This has gone from maddening to depressing quickly, because I don't want to boycott Bioware, I love a lot of their games, but this is just bull****. Full restoration of unlocks is what I'd like, and if not that, 600,000 credits or 10 Spectre packs. The latter of the solutions wouldn't cost Bioware anything, and in the long run, they wouldn't lose tons of revenue from angry customers.

I said as much several days ago, too. Can't be emphasized enough.

1. Chatted online with someone. They could not help, said they would escalate via email, and also gave me a number to call. I never got that escalation email.
2. Chatted over the phone with someone. Advised me to reinstall and call back. I obliged.
3. Called back after reinstalling. Different Rep. Said he had no idea what was going on, would escalate, then call me back THAT DAY or the next. Never got any call.
4. Waited 2 days, called back. Different Rep. Said my case was sent to the wrong place. Said he would send it to the right place (herp). I should be contacted within 48 hours via email. Bet you can guess whether or not I got an email.
5. Waited 4 days, went to online chat. He informed me that "There is an issue we know about." No sh*t. Told me my case was already escalated. I said I know, but it's been 4 days. His advice? "You have to wait." Sweet, thanks.
6. Chatted with a rep 2 days later. I said at this point I just want a refund. BioWare is not a bank, I did not deposit $20 so that you could hold on to it for me and give me nothing in return. Rep refused, told me to wait, then closed chat on me. Sweet.
So yeah, this is pretty neat. Great support. I work in the corporate world and have no idea how on Earth they can get away treating customers like this. If my company treated our customers like this - well heads would roll. I think my next step is going to be calling TAC managers directly. I know that when managers start getting calls things start to move more quickly.

Since they have not said they CAN reroll the items/mods you lost, and IF they do what will happen to the items that you have rebought, i would stay clear of that mess.
