Even management (middle management, anyway) on the EA support side is somewhat in the dark about this. They treated me very well though, and actually comped me some nice things (worth 3 times what I lost in BioWare points), and a 15% store discount. This is the first time I actually believe I will get a call or email from them once this is resolved.

He was giving her tips on how to talk to me to make me feel like "they were doing something for me" even though their "hands are tied by BioWare."
It's official then, stay the **** away from multiplayer.

Thank you for writing to Electronic Arts.
We genuinely apologize for the delay in response and appreciate your interest in Mass Effect 3. Let us inform you that the issue which you have raised is already known to us. This is a known issue and our technical team is working on this issue. Also we advise you to prevent this from happening again by following the two steps below:
1.Avoiding going into the Store while 'Ready' for a multiplayer match. It's best to un-ready yourself before you go to the store.
2.Not accepting invites while in the store/purchasing
Regarding lost/relocked items – we cannot restore lost items at this time. This is part of what Bioware is working out, and updates to the situation can be gained from Bioware Social Network web site.
Please get assured about this issue that it is going to get solved very soon. We would appreciate your patience regarding the same.
We at Electronic Arts, assign pivotal importance to offer exceptional service to our customers and believe in exploring all the possibilities in doing so. However, we apologize for having disappointed you unintentionally. Your affiliation is valued by EA and requests it in the future. Yeah what will I get in compensation for the microsoft points I spent on this. In game credits is NOT good enough. I spent real cash, 100 dollars on that stuff. I will not be given some imaginary money back to spend to see if I can randomly unlock the stuff again. No I refuse that.
What more do you want? Microsoft will not allow them to refund you MS points.

That's not right though. We buy something on the store from the publisher but the product they published that we lost money through (because of a bug) is broke, and it's okay for them to keep our money? If this is okay then all studios/publishers and console stores (though I bought my points through the PC) should all plot and scheme together to rip people off and keep their money. It's a real ****ing convienant loophole for them.

I don't know why we weren't given an update sooner, but it's good to see or reaffirm that this is at least a priority to them.

Ditto here on all points.
Just make sure when you do start that you're playing against the reapers on silver or gold

Or, maybe, you haven't lost money because our stuff is going to get restored.
I agree it's frustrating not to hear anything from them but I wouldn't assume the worst.

Interesting little tidbit, the post by Jarrett Lee that Raging Nug talked about may have indeed mentioned the re locking problem, however now that i go to look at it, it does not say anything about it, although if you look at the modified date, it was modified around 40 some seconds ago (for me when i looked, obviously it would be a bit longer now).......so yeah.
It says: "
- The fix for kit relocking is going in soon, this weekend you should be in good shape (and we fully intend to restore anyone hit by that bug)"

I still see it showing and I refreshed the page. I just wish they'd state if it's okay to play the game NOW, or do we wait for this fix to appear as he said - "- The fix for kit relocking is going in soon, this weekend you should be in good shape (and we fully intend to restore anyone hit by that bug)"
Aye, if I knew I would get my unlocks back, I'd happily be playing multiplayer, but just in case, I am not so I'm sure nothing bad can happen.
