Good point.  They may be mini warp charges.

Well imo this issue will not be fixed anytime soon, too bad cause the mp was actually good. Well i will find some other game to fill my time untild Diablo 3 comes in May. Bioware is gonna loose so much profit over this buggy mess.

Damn this is exciting news, I've lost my widow two times, wonder if I'l get a widow I or II.

For those of us that has unlocked weapons above X because of bug will probably take a small loss, but this is still great news.

Dont get excited too soon. If they didn't fix this and we have a ton of players farming N7 weapons this weekend... Well this could get the longest thread in bioware/ea complaint history...

Let's hope you are right. I really dislike how they handle the community here. People on this thread waiting for info and they inform on another thread and somewhere in the middle too, not even a new thread exactly.

I agree it comes off as disrespectful and unconcerned.  They are probably just really scrambling. ( I don't begrudge them a glitch like this. **** happens. I never doubted they were working hard to fix it.  It's the follow-up that is lacking.)

Jarret Lee does, indeed, comment on it over at this thread- his second post on page 1.

http://social.biowar...index/9992705/1

Seeing how many people are continuing to play after encountering the glitch, I suppose Bioware can feel secure in "responding" as they have.

I think the MP is quite cool, but I do have some dignity.

Well it's good to hear they are working on it. I understand bugs happen and such. But the real 40+ dollars i spent on bioware points is whats important. I don't mind having to work so much for all the things i purchased by credits i earned from multiplayer matches. But some kind of specific information in regards to how that will be handled would make me feel better. Bioware is still a great company in my eyes. I just wish there was a bit more information available or an easier way to contact someone to make sure that my case is on file, so that I know they are aware and working while keeping me and others in the loop.

Edit:  Also...I wasn't sure I hsould play but I would love to participate in this weekends Operation Goliath...Does anyone think its a bad idea, before they have resolved teh existing problem?

Better safe than sorry. Wait until saturday and check back on this thread. If you still see complaints about lost stuff just skip those N7 weapons. Not worth losing all you have.

I had the same issue, they say they are going to restore stuff but tbh i'm a bit underconfident about it and i don't know if I even want to bother with this event they are hosting because I don't have any good strong characters thanks to this relocking bug

They're not going to do a "rollback" and make you lose stuff.

I appreciate your attempt to justify EA's current action plan(or lack thereof).

I'm justifying nothing. I've had my account get relocked as well, so I'm in the same boat.

Well if I click store, since everything is gone anyway, and that outstanding balance message loads up items (I've seen it do that before) then I'll know it's safe to play. I have nothing to lose anymore.

I've seemingly just lost all weapons unlocked... kinda pissed to be honest.

EDIT: Woah... even character classes have been relocked, I've lost everything! Considering that I've used some of my bioware points to purchase a spectre pack this is completely unacceptable and I demand either the unlocked items to be restored swiftly or a refund of my spent bioware points.

I'm kind of angry Jarret didn't answer my questions about the conditions of this issue and supposed fix. I guess I should have pretended I was excited about the event and then asked the actual important questions. Getting a response is tough here, tougher than SoE forums, which is an achievement in itself. It seems the more concerned you sound, the less likely you will get answers. On the other hand, the more you like something they do and define it with the word "epic" (tonights event for example), the better chance you might be worthy enough of getting a reply, but probably not a straight answer.  Also the fact I lost tons of items I paid for with Bioware Points, makes me feel really bitter... but I think anyone would, if they just got ripped off.

He's just not allowed to make any more specific comment about this. Orders from above.

But if that item relock stuff goes on throughout that event we have a major cluster**** ahead. And there's still the question with the refunds... Will be interesting to see how this is gonna turn out for all of us.

Seems unlikely since I work in the game industry too, but maybe simple questions aren't allowed to be answered with this studio, explains alot then. I also know this engine inside out (its entire lifespan too), not sure how they ****ed it up so badly, but I don't know their network.

I do agree though it will be interesting to see how this turns out. When the event starts I'll log in since I lost everything already and see if anything comes back. If not, this thread will get alot more interesting, as other people lose everything too. It's like they are setting a trap and collecting money in some cases.

Bioware's official stance is to refuse refunds for points lost. How do I know? Because I've tried to get a refund and customer service reps can't do anything about it. That call comes from upper management. So while they're scrambling, for the people like me who had to beat the game while avoiding multiplayer (which by the way messed up my character for the singleplayer game with a level and character model reset) and will no longer have use for points - THANK YOU VERY MUCH BIOWARE. Don't flame the mods or the customer service reps. They try to help. The people who make the calls that we all hate come from up top. Great game by the way though but the first I've experienced to have it's multiplayer mess up the single player experience - Big Thumbs Up.

Really disappointed if spent bioware points do not get restored because it should be easily possible to track item purchases... would open up a dispute but chances are they would just close my bioware account then which would result in me losing access to even the singleplayer of the game.

Knowing that a lot of people swear to boycott the game this might not hold much force behind it but in case this does not get resolved in a acceptable manner, definitely not purchasing a bioware game again (bold note on *purchasing*, considering that even though having given up on the company I would still want to keep track of story progress).

Considering that I had planned to enjoy my recently unlocked black widow after work hours in some games... just to see everything being locked again, what jokes.

I've been waiting for a fix since this happened to me. I lost $30 worth of packs since the release date... I've been waiting and waiting and waiting, hoping I get all my lost items and characters back. If I don't, honestly I'm done with me3...

To put some perspective on this; the blame shouldn't be put on the creators, the mods, the programmers or the reps. It's all on the head of big corp: time and money. They want the big bucks quick as possible and the production gets compromised. Maybe I'm giving the producers too much credit but imagine this game with more time for testing and input. Honestly, I'm not going to buy any more games at launch, paying full price for something incomplete. It's ridiculous and so is this trend in the industry.

would love to know how those of us who've had the relock issue are suppose to complete a silver game or what guarantees we aren't just wasting our time to lose more stuff?

They say a fix is in the works and will come shortly for that bug... It was on the first page.

"Shortly", yes. Likely not before the start of the event. This will get ugly.

The fix is actually live already. We're just still working on some messaging around it.

Just found this in the Goliath thread - so apparently its safe to continue playing, theyre just not sure how to tell us this? o_O

Well whatever, im off to kick some reaper butt.
