Well, F Bioware. Apparently they have decided to BAN my account because I asked for a refund on paypal. Not even sure if I'll get my money back from Paypal, but if I don't I strongly encourage people to not play a game made by THIEFS. They took 68.25$ from me and banned my account so I can't play anymore because apparently it's a FRAUD. I can garantee that if I don't get my money back, they'll hear from me.

Also, I can't talk to anyone on the phone till monday cause they are closed... GG

I wondered what would happen to those who took that route. Still this is not right, make sure to publicize it as much as possible.

Take a deep breath and relax. They aren't so great at communicating, but the wipe bug has been fixed. It's a start, and it's been stated in several official posts that they are working to restore any lost items. If you spent money on points, that then were used to buy virtual items, you aren't entitled to a refund: you're entitled to your virtual items back. The cash was forfeit when YOU exchanged it into virtual currency. If you had unused BW points, they will most likely refund them. As for MS points, those are gone, but Bioware has no control over that (Microsoft NEVER refunds points). You can skim back and find my posts/tirades, we're all upset, we're all paying customers, but they are making at least some progress in making this right, and have stated every intent to do so.

Edit: Still not buying anything EA/Bioware until it's all said and done, but I'm not going to turn my back on them forever without giving them time to fix this mess.

If I company fails to provide a product or service that was paid for or if said product/service is defective or missing. The customer is entitled to a refund regardless if the item is virtual or real.

If Bioware is unable to replace all lost items, then they will replace the points that were used to purchase them.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer person, I'm sure.

How's that rage working out for you?

I'm not saying you're not entitled to what you purchased.  However, some people want their money back, instead of virtual items, when they've already translated said cash into virtual items.  These companies will not give them their money back, and will instead opt to give them a refuned in virtual currency or items, because you are right.  Just want to try and clarify for people who are whining about spending X amount of dollars and asking for their money back: it's just not going to happen, you'll get a virtual refund, like you said, either points or items, but not cash.

Also, what you said is the very core of the issue.  If BW doesn't make this right (and they are in the middle of that process), I will absolutely be boycotting them permanently, though I have faith.

Hi everyone, unfortuantly instead of my first post being an introduction it has to be a report about how I've lost all my unlocks too. I like many others sought help from EA help desk and were redirected to the forums.
As this occured a few days ago I've been starved from ME3 multiplayer, as I havent bothered with it if there is no recovery option and the fix only appeared a few hours ago I believe. It's a shame cause since launched I've played it multiplayer every day straight instead of the campaign lol. I'm hoping to get on the waiting list, recovering at least character unlocks. It takes more than a few invested game hours with the unlock system.
Though I do want to add congrats to the team on working out a solution, especially with the unwanted grief surrounding a really bad bug.

The Bug causing the relock in the first place is fixed which means it won't happen again. They're still working on a solution for those people who lost their items and characters - but as for now there's not ETA for this solution yet.

I wouldn't mind starting from zero if I got my BW points and some credits (could be based on player's level) back. I guess that would be the fastest fix. If it is possible to rollback my profile to where I still hade those items, that would be awesome. But in any case it would be nice to hear something on the issue from BW. Anything really.
Since there seem to be too many issues with the game already (ending, the DLC, ending, MP profile wiped out along with all the spent BW points, ending), and for me, right now,
it means I can't enjoy nor MP(store blocked, chars lvl 1) nor SP (readiness).

I lost a buch of Items as well two weeks ago. In fact i was affected twice but didn't noticed the first time. Got my Turian Sentinel ans lost him through this bug. Was able to play with him after the bug hit ans wondered why my pistol-scope was missing. Once i looked in the weapons selection i wasn't able to play him again. :(

Non payed with Bioware Points and therefore no big deal for me. Would be awesome to get the ~300.000 Credits back but i will survive. :)

I did a bit of ugly math using the R statistical program, and I'm apparently out 2.9 million credits worth of stuff.

So the starter pack glitch was actually a bw Anti cheat detection.. because spending bw points was a form at the time of cheating.

i mean genious right 60000creds per 160bw points and a game that always shows ea that your purchase is in credits... now lets say you had purchased 1600 bioware points thats 600000 creds and purchased the spectre packs back to back.... Red flag because the game deciphers bioware points in creds when making a purchase 10 packs per 1600 bw poonts.. and how did you come of that many points when you havent played gold, silver, or bronze enough to make that much creds. Red FLag

you might need to check for anything new because if your creds dont return you might have new items even though you havent been shown em. maybe restart game or play one match

Gyahaha, yeah I could see really crappy anti-cheat software flagging that.

I lost everything due to this glitch. Luckily, I regained everything valuable I lost, including some even cooler weapons. Sadly, however, I haven't been able to reunlock the Salarian Infiltrator. I am a sensitive gamer, and have to have optimal conditions for a fully satisfying experience. My Salarian Infiltrator was purchased with BioWare Points, and I cannot unlock him again. This is kind of frustrating, since this is not necessarily the players' faults if they were unaware of this.

Reimbursement in even in-game credits would be appropriate. I really hope some compensation will occur.

Cross your fingers ... they are "working on it".
damn it ... 10 days since the bug started.
