Everything reset for me once one of my character reached level 20. All of my weapons, items, and characters are gone. I won't be playing the multiplayer until this is resolved =-(

I had just hit 20 and got the N7 message. Everything except my drell adept re-locked. Today I logged on to see if it had been fixed and even my drell was locked.

I've been playing consistently. Leaving the entire match to use the store, never clicking ready, until I've done what I needed to do. Stuff like that. So far, so good. Only downside is my promoted Asari Vanguard isn't choosable since she got relocked, so once I promoted her that was it. If I had known that I would've just avoided it.

On the bright side I've unlocked 2 other characters, so... yay. I can't be the only one who just doesn't want to play as humans, can I? :sick:

Yeah had about $25 in PsN wallet so decided to buy some kits. About 5 Spectre and 15 Vet. Had some nice finds like the black widow etc.

But soon after I got 2nd starter pack. An $25 in kits are poof be gone. While I doubt there is a way for Bio/EA & Sony to get everyone back their specific items. PsN does keep a log of purchases. Could Bio/EA & Sony not refund the amounts to our wallets. In order for us to buy the kits again?

360 version here. Lost all my unlocks (including content from 3 Spectre packs) excluding the weapons and mods that were equipped at the time. Happened when a friend invited me into their game, rather than go to the lobby as normal I got the welcome to Special Forces blurb that you get first time round and the game offered to download the Welcome Pack from the store. I also got a dashboard prompt that a Spectre pack had just finished downloading despite having not purchased any more.

Noticed that in the Mass Effect 3 folder on my hard drive that there is only one Spectre pack despite purchasing three. Bought a 4th to see if that changes and there's still just one. Not sure if that means anything. SSX which I guess uses a similar system has a purchase pack of the same name for each credit pack.

I want my money reimbursed from the kits that I purchased. What I want to know is how Bioware is going to deal with this. People are spending money to buy packs and losing everything. What will be done?

Unless they refund all lost bw/ms points this will go down as the biggest theft in video game history.

The information is still on their server so I'd think we will eventually get restored. If you unlock a character you previously had, it has the old weapons/appearance.

Yes the information might be stored on their servers. But honestly I don't believe they will review each account individually and restore it to a specific time/date. In the other hand this cluster**** is not solved by a simple fix either.

I lost all my weapons/kits/mods/equipment/supplies just by being in the equipment screen when the game started. Spawned in the round with a character devoid of all weapon upgrades and no equipment/supplies. After the round ended, the game totally freaked out and had like 3 screens overlaying eachother. When I exited the game and came back.... all gone! Only character levels remained.

To add to the first post, I would add:

*DONT CLICK ON ANYTHING EVER WHILE THE COUNTDOWN IS GOING
*DONT BE IN ANY MENUS EVER
*STOP BUYING EA GAMES UNTIL THEY LEARN TO LET THE DEVELOPER RELEASE THEM WHEN THEY'RE FINISHED, BUGTESTED, AND NOT BEFORE

Yeah just lost like 6 mp classes, all my guns, all ym upgrades all my medigels, upon hitting level 20 the second time on my infiltrator
happened on the pc btw.

In their defense, this is sort of a weird bug. It's not exactly like they're dicking around going into menus in the middle of testing, etc. I think when things are tested they do it a lot methodically, and less chaotic, or they just check it in local environments, etc. just a guess, could be wrong. I mean, I've spent probably 10 - 15 hours in Multiplayer and it only happened to be once very early on because I went into the store at the 1 second mark when we were all ready. Since then I haven't had any issues, but I haven't been menu hopping after hitting Ready.

yes i agree with you.. but you know what the real problem is... ZERO COMMUNICATION or WARNING about this.. its like they don't care at all...  i sent a email to KOTAKU in hope that they would publicize this, i really think more should do this, so they will post something quick. Unless of course they were paid by EA to promote ME3:ph34r: lol, then they dont care..

Ok, so apparently this happened last night and i didn't realize it until this afternoon when i noticed my mattock was gone. Is there any eta on when people will get their stuff back, or if it's even possible? The OP doesn't say anything about what to do if it's already happened to you, only how to minimize the possibility of it happening in the first place. Is there anyone official I can ask on twitter? I'm sort of hesitant to keep playing and unlocking things if they're going to get reset or something like that in a week.

Hopefully, if enough people know, they'll do a little more than simply acknowledge it and then go silent. I'd have preferred to wait an extra 8-9 months for the game if it meant getting one substantially less flawed. Did the demand squeeze them too hard?

i played at two different points yesterday, and today when i logged in the stuff from my first session was gone, it also happened to be while i was unlocking stuff with spare bioware points. have they confirmed they will be offering refunds or restoration of the unlocks?

I used the EA help system for Mass Effect 3 and was told that there were no transactions that showed I had purchased Spectre packs. I have no idea how this was checked as it was over an online chat system and they support person had obvious issues with the English.

 I was literally spending points the moment I opened my copy so I suppose I was doomed from the start. I spent over 30$ and a totaly of 2170 MS points on 6 spectre packs and I believe around 13 veteren packs then I was all gone. I have unlocked more since then using the in game credit system and have contacted both Xbox who has said, though they would like to reimburst me my points since i bought EA consumable that it was out of their hand and EA said they'd escalate my ticket and get in touch with me... which hasn't happened. 

I love this system, if it would work. I would really like some response as to when the money I worked hard for and spent on this game will be fulfilled with the ingame content I bought. :mellow:

They said only the recruit pack was showing in my transaction list as well, and that veteren and spectre didn't exist in their lists at all. Xbox help however had each indicividual transaction recorded, the time I bought it and the amount of points spent.

It appears that you have had a Reinforcement Pack or Packs become relocked after using the online store. We are sorry for the inconvenience and want you to know that we are aware of your issue and that we are working for a solution.

In the meantime you can reduce your chances of this happening again by:
Avoiding going into the Store while 'Ready' for a multiplayer match. It's best to un-ready yourself before you go to the store.
Not accepting invites while in the store/purchasing
We continue to investigate this issue and will update you when we have more information.

Thank you for your patience and purchase of Mass Effect 3
