Eh, there will be plenty more challenges.  Probably bimonthly or even weekly.

Like I said, I was nuked for 40-60 hours and $40 but this game's MP isn't my life.  It's fun, and I have great friends to play it with all the time (they're even helping carry me through Silvers and Golds to get my stuff back), but I got a ton of other stuff I can do while I wait.

True, still I find it a bit odd that Bioware would do something like this. Or even allow such a buggy game out into the market, but it might have been EA's doing on that.

Usually stuff like this kind of boils down to...

*Demo days*
QA: Yo there's this bug that resets everyone's stuff if they're in the store or something, and a game starts.
Devs: Can you reliably get it to happen?
QA: Sort of.
Devs: We'll look into it, but it's like a week till launch.

*week later*
QA: Bug is still there, not entirely sure what's causing it, not just the store
Suits: We said we're launching on the 6th and we're going to
Devs: We'll keep looking into it, but it seems kind of edge-casey right now and we've got all this other crap to deal with
QA: Oh in that case *issues 9,001 other bug reports*
Suits: Oh by the way, we're making it so you can use real money to buy the packs
QA: Is this a good idea?
Devs: No, but our hands are tied *Suits are tying their hands as they speak*

*launch week*
QA: OH GOD SO MANY PEOPLE GETTING RESET, WHY DID WE DO THIS?
Devs: Fix it fix it fixitfixitfixit ohhhhh goooooooooooddddd
QA: We're getting tons of reports of people being unable to even play the game at all!
Devs: Boy, I am sure going to miss my wife, kids, and sleep this month.
Suits: Whatever, sucks for them but they're not going to quit, and even if they do it's still such a small set of people that it won't matter in the long run.  Fix the stuff that will make us lose the most money, first.

*week later*
Devs: Okay, we managed to make it so people don't get reset anymore, but still can't restore everything yet.  I think I may have liver damage because of all the coffee.
QA: Um... your fix made it so now some people are getting locked in the store and are losing the ability to buy anything, and their credits are being taken but nothing is getting purchased.  I'm sorry, I'm so sorry.
Devs: At least... at least they're not getting completely reset?
Suits: See, triaged.  These people are even less likely to quit.  I call that success.
Devs & QA: Here's your pudding, Angelica.

I'm getting this issue where the store tells me my purchase failed and to call customer support. I've lost at least 180000 points on this by now. I hope you plan on reimbursing people their lost points :(

I like to know whats going on and believe bioware should keep us posted some how. are we getting our stuff or get credits instead (think that is the easiest solution).

BioWare, the **** you've done - any other company would have been bashed and forgotten by its fans.

BUT we remember your times of greatness. We appreciate some of the amazing stuff you have done in the past.

So, fix this already because this is SO OVERDUE. Is it really that hard to just refund BioWare points or even credits to everyone that lost them? Just do it, or at least WRITE SOMETHING AND KEEP US UP TO DATE. You just keep ignoring us and this is getting pretty ridiculous and annoying. IT TOOK 7 DAYS FOR YOU TO WRITE ANYTHING AT ALL. I won't even bother to comment on that. Now, days are passing once again and we got no information at all and one more time you keep us in the dark.

I don't know what kind of people you hire for customer support/representatives but they should be fired a long time ago.

While such a serious and game breaking issues like this are being ignored, mods/members of the company are answering and wasting their time in other pointless threads.

Sorry to say all this, but this is true.

Reimbursement suggestions recap, and obvious solution.

I've read this entire thing and have mostly seen variations on the same four opinions:

1) "I've braved the storm and got high level gear since the bug happened to me, and I don't think I'll get reimbursed 1:1 if we only get previously unlocked stuff re-unlocked!  Give credits so everyone is certain to improve their profile!"

2) "I got extremely lucky the first time around, and I don't think I'll get reimbursed exactly 1:1 if we only get credits!  We could add someone's old level II to their new level IV giving them VI, or maybe we can give member 1) extra credits because his Avenger is level X now or whatnot."

3) "I'm kinda upset, I feel my loyalty is worth a more than 1:1 reimbursement, we should get even more than we lost for going through this, and because we weren't warned in-game, which is apparently pretty simple given the goliath and server downtime messages."

4) "Member 3) is right, and heck what about all this time we spent not playing at all, or only playing bronze matches with unmodded level 1 weapons and characters out of our best playstyles?  I would have earned a lot more credits/items in all this time, so more than 1:1 seems rather fair, not merely a PSN-style apology gift."

Conclusion)  There's one solution so all-encompasing I'm shocked there's still a "credits vs items" argument:  Give everyone affected the items they lost and the credits they spent unlocking them (this is assuming both are possible, naturally... but I think that this seems easier than doing either on a case-by-case basis goes without saying).  Some will wind up with 2 to 1, others will wind up 1.xx to 1 because they had something re-unlocked to a high enough level, so one is technically 'luckier,' but as long everybody 'beats' the bug/reaper attack on our morale, I see no reason for jealousy (from people with really nice gear during this goliath thing, no less) to be a problem.

Perfectly said. I feel I was left out because I refused to continue to buy packs and play the multiplayer version of the game after the  bug, which in return I was unable to take part of the event. Honestly, I don't see how that's fair to me and to everyone in a similiar situation. We bought the game, yet miss out on events because of bugs out of our control? Just don't see how that's fair to us...

Unfortunately the easiest and most effective way for them to restore our stuff is to scan all transaction records (real money purchases get logged as credit transactions, apparently, which actually helps since it doesn't let them get caught up in legal refund red tape) and give us a massive credit reimbursement, rather than come up with some complex merging algorithm. They would have to, too. I doubt they are going to pay their QA/CS/Dev teams to manually find and repair every single case.

I'm not sure just giving credits will work. I have been playing for some time now since I got bugged and have not been able to unlock anything I had before the bug. I am still stuck with low level weapons with one or two mods per weapon. Also I have only been able to unlock the few weapons I did not already have unlocked. I have gotten 4 reset point tokens and a few characters I didn't have before, but like I said, I have yet to unlock a single item I had before the bug. I hope that they will indeed be able to return our unlocks to us, or at least fix it so that I can unlock the old stuff again. I would also like my $20 dollars worth of bioware points. I still have the digital receipt for the purchase. Nothing I purchased with them is still a part of my profile, such as my Black Widow, Scorpion, Graal spike Thrower, and many more. I know that Bioware is working on this, but I feel as though a little more communication would make things go much smoother. Anyway, there's my two cents.

hey either the same bug or a slightly similar one hit me and my friends on 360 tonight. we finished up a silver match and then entered the store only to find all the credits we had just earned to have disappeared. we also ended up losing our xp from the match. this happend again after we played a quick bronze match to check on things. we didnt have anything become locked out but we did find that if we had started a new character that they were deleted after the match too.

I did find after restarting my 360 that the bug didn't persist and was able to keep both Xp and Credits after a match. Hope this helps those still trying to play.

thanks for your time,
kingz

They replaced this issue with server issues, good times. also, no idea what they're going to do about giving me back my mantis V, my mantis X is already occupying that slot

While I was quite lucky on some accounts on my gear, I guess a credit refund would be most correct,
for the problem fafnir magnus stated and supplies etc... (I had all my supplies close to 30 before my last relock, and thats a good bunch of credit)

Sounds like a server connection issue. Did you try just exiting to dashboard and restarting the game, or did you HAVE to hard reboot?

I don't invest real money in this kind of crap for this very reason. I myself have lost 20000 credits once though.

I unlocked the Drell Adept and when I went to use him I realized he still had the weapons equipped on him that I had before my things got relocked. I hoped I got my stuff back but as soon as I went to my inventory it took the items he had equipped.

I then checked my Human engineer and he had my Falcon equipped. So if you lost your stuff but didn't change your equipment it should still be on your characters. It's not unlocked, but it helps for doing higher difficulties to get more money.
