Kits becoming relocked in Multiplayer

I'm guessing all the locking/unlockign is handled client side, just like all the other settings that allow people to hack the game, and there is absolutely no way for Bioware to determine who had what and what was lost. Thus no update, no refunds, etc. I'm glad I only lost credits and not real $$. Definitely no way I will ever even think about spending points on this game...not that I ever intended to.

even if it is client side they can still recover the data, that just simply means they have to put in code to reunlock everything you have ever unlocked. Because the data is still there, people have shown that many times but re-unlocking a character and having all the customization options that arent available right away unlocked the instant they reunlock the character.

I dont give a damn if bioware doesnt think they can fix it, if they cant, theyll be facing a MASSIVE class action lawsuit as they damn well should, you cant release a broken product AND steal money from people, and if that in fact does happen, frankly they deserve to burn.

That being said i keep unlocking the same weapons over and over again but am not getting upgrades. Ive unlocked the Mantis 2 3 different times and counting

I've spent real money (MSP) on kits, and as I was shopping in the store I got kicked from the lobby. There is no way for me to get back the points I lost or the money I spent. Mind you, this was when the game 1st came out. There is no way for BioWare to know what I had unlocked and I purchased multiple packs with Money... everything gone, even the credits. Luckily, I answered my own question and got back everything I lost. but the money will never be refunded, now that's an issue.

you guys can return the copy if buy within 14 days, you know ?

and also the point, maybe not the full amount but better than nothing.

my suggestion , return the point and then return their game.

 I have the email confirmation on the 50 dollars worth of microsoft points I bought spectre packs with and a refrence number with microsoft from when I called tech support and they showed me were to find the saved data information for the spectre packs on my hard drive.    seriously guys cmon i like playing this game but its getting to a little ridiculous having to wait for my stuff to come back for so long with no updates... we'd better be getting some kind of compensation for these atrocitys ! :crying:<3<3

yea I thought about that tonight.... of course im 16 days out cause I bought it the day it came out.... after 60 dollars for the game 10 dollars for the from ashes pack and 50 dollars in MS points for spectre packs im out 120 dollars plus tax... just waiting for the update so I can not be to mad to play the game

I was hit by this bug around the time this post was made, im starting to think "soon" means never and they are working on it means forgot about it. Its a bit hard to understand why we have had 0 updates in 2 weeks. My current reasoning is that we have to wait for the xbox users patch to clear quality assurance in order to see a fix.

I emailed EA and demanded a refund of my money for the packs that I had bought - they gave me the same line about 'we're working to fix it, be patient'. Frankly, it's bullcrap that they won't refund me. Stuff I lost that I just spend in game credits for? Whatever. Reseting my Shep to level 1 in the middle of the game and losing an hour of play time? Frustrating, but ultimately tolerable. Using a lazy deus ex (both the play technique and the game) ending, whatever.  Real money that they've stolen from me because of a buggy MP? Not acceptable.

I have decided to "Patiently" take my gaming to other producers and quite vocally discuss with gamers through various venues exactly why, based on my experiences, they should not give EA/Bioware another red cent. This has resulted in a couple of positive outcomes:

1) My verbal communication skills are improving due to further refinements of informative/persuasive techniques being built.

2) In 20 minutes, I saved approximately $1800 of consumer dollars while reaffirming the value we place on products and service.

[Bonus Scene]
I was offered an interview with a local videogame store for a position based on my knowledge and experience with games and the industry. Thank you Bioware :)

That Bonus scene should have been a buyable DLC. Next time maybe? ;)

Anyway, I just wanted to say, that I would never believe how disappointed I could be
over a game and a company(moreover a western one. thought that the service sucks just over here. oh well).

The ending, the ignorance of customers, the unbelievable effort to squeeze money from everything. :(

Not to mention how many people buy games in this region. I did, even bought a DDE, preordered it(first and probably last time I preordered anything).. well, nice slap, life. :D

a while ago i paid for a spectre pack with my Microsoft points and it said i had downloaded it but then the host left the game and i was sent back to the loading screen and i got nothing.now i don't mind this happening with the games credits but with my own money i do say i have a problem i don't need the points back but can you guys at least give me the pack i bought? i am sorry if this type of request has already been made and answered but i did not feel like going through 44pages to find out.

I lost all my stuff ago about 2 weeks ago as well including 20 dollars in spectre packs :/ hopefully were able to get our stuff back

Getting a little bored with this myself :(

Playing on a "locked" krogan soldier with crappy weapons and being scared to buy items because you might lose them gets old fast... at least the krogans melee power allows me to keep up with people to some extent...

only reason i play one or two games each day is to keep up my galactic readiness..

the amusing part in all this is that sometimes (probably due to being locked) my krogan resorts to a weird punching attack instead of his normal headbutt (normal melee) or charge (heavy melee) attacks :P

id feel alot better if id AT LEAST get my bioware points back at this point :(

Can we get our bioware points back yet? I've regained way more than what I originally lost and a lot of the weapons I had before the wipe are now maxed, so what am I to gain if you were even able to restore what I had?

I'd rather just have the 800 points and put it all behind me.

i too would rather have the 1600 microsoft points i spent back, it just seems like waiting for them to unlock the kits that got locked is a waste of time... i lost 1600 msp worth of spectre packs second day and that was weeks ago

Aye. At this point I'll happily lose my relocked items if I get my BW points back.

just spent 1 hour with support and they are basically just saying we cant do anything and its in our policy to not do anything. why am i giving my money to these people? this is theft clear and simple.

What they need to realize is as soon as they accept money, they are entering a CONTRACT to provide what you paid for. which means they are breaking the law and a class action suit from all of us can and should be filled

A class action lawsuit should only be filed if they refuse to do anything. No court will convict them of stealing money because they had to develop a way to return our gear. I agree... if nothing is done, one should be filed... but any judge will argue that you have to give them time to repair the damage.
