Kits becoming relocked in Multiplayer

ill put my name here in the hope that Bio is working on something.

so far i have lost about 420000 credits in the multiplayer bug were it takes the credits for the item (spectre packs in this case) has problem with communicating with the servers doesn't give you the item refunds the credits wont let you play a multiplayer game until you exit out of multiplayer (so you are forced to exit multiplayer) when you log back in to the multiplayer you find that the credits have been taken as if you spent them but you have not reserved any items.


as of now im am luck that this has never happened with Biowaer points or i may have been a bit upset about it.

You guys are talking about two separate issues. Buying crates and having it take the credits from you but not getting items is NOT the issue this topic was created for. This topic was for people who got the bug that relocked all weapons and kits.

Different or not, it's still part of the crappy store system that needs to be fixed, it doesn't matter if it's 2 different things, it still has to be fixed regardless, if they plan on a long run mutiplayer series. If you were crippled weather you can't run or jump is still part of the same thing.

It might be part of the crappy store system but the issue of buying kits and not actually receiving them pales in comparison to having everything you've ever unlocked taken away, especially if you've used Microsoft/Bioware points.

As far as I know people buying crates and not receiving the items only started after they claimed they fixed the issue with things being relocked 10 days ago. It's been 20 days since the original issue and nothing has been done about it.

Make another topic with your seperate issue so people with that specific issue can post there and people with this issue can post here. The more large topics they have about specific problems the harder it will be for them to ignore.

I have to agree with voodoo on this one, this topic was created for people who lost weeks of progress compared to few dozen minutes/hours. By which I don't want to make the second problem sound less important, but it should be adressed in a seperate topic.

Ah, the amount of ignorance we get from Bioware is astonishing.
Maybe it woudn't be a bad idea to create a new topic to just ask them on updates?

So the last thing I heard about a fix on this issue was weeks ago. I am starting to believe that they are not even reading our posts anymore. Just gave us a place to blow off some steam. Can we please get an update, either way, on what is going on?

Personally, I understand you have a lot on your plate and may not have gotten to this issue yet, but not saying anything for weeks is just rude.

We all have lost everything what we got...like me too. So these days i go back in game and start slowly play and unlocking multiplayer equip. All hope that I have got put away equip is one thing...But about 1600k+ BioWare points what I use for real money is other thing. So they could give back at least this thing then equip. Or forget the equip just give back people points. Cause me and many others pay for points so it will be nice from you to do this for us. We buying your games...But dont tellin people anything if you bring it back reunlocked what they uncloked and other things....Its little bit ignoring people who supporting your company and you live from these people....Take it on your mind....

Its at least weird, peoplr come here claiming about their lost o 1 recruit pack yesterday,for example...
They started playing a week ago and dont even know about our issue and the meaning of this topic...
Ah... And i lost 2000000 two million credits in stuff.... Just one day before they fix it... Just sad...

Just lost 60000 credits trying to buy a Spectre pack. Got the error message when trying to buy. Tried several times. Tried to buy the Jumbo Special and same problem. The last time I tried to buy the Spectre pack I must have really pissed off the server...

You do realize what a class action lawsuit is right? it is not something done case by case but rather a pool of affected people, and the cost of which is not fronted by one person. If they are accepting money they are OBLIGATED to provide the service in which they are charging for or it is considered a breach of contract.


Read the contract then (the EULA).  They did provide you with what you paid for (bioware points).  Just because the arcade machine ate your tokens doesn't mean you get the quarters you exchanged for the tokens back. 

Why do you think they have you buy points instead of just buying items with real money directly?

Would it be nice to get refunds? Sure. But you aren't going to win a court case about it, nor are you going to go to court about it. At best, you can file a complaint with the BBB.  The fact is, what is going on is NOT illegal, it's just not good business.  I got bit by this bug too, so it's not like I don't care, but everyone who is threatening legal action A. isn't going to actually do anything of the sort and B.  wouldn't possibly win anyways.

You're better off contacting the gamer news sites and complaining.  Pounding your chest about class action lawsuits that no lawyer in his right mind would touch is just silly.  They didn't breach the contract, pure and simple, but that doesn't make it right.

Go ahead, call your lawyer and tell me what he says. I imagine EA thought this one through before setting up Bioware points. You might as well be threatening to beat up their mothers... its equally ineffective and unrealistic.

For the record Pcgamer did write about this and have mentioned it once after they wrote about it to, also seen it on one more website, dont recall which one though. However Ea never commented on the matter to pcgamer.

Dear mass effect players, in all reality EA scammed us of our money. They are not going to pay us back no matter how much we complain. Their multiplayer feature and story mode was a complete failure. They don't even know how to fix their own bugs/hacks. They don't even care what we say. Point blank... Either pawn off the game to a friend, sell it game stop, or keep playing and keep losing everything.

my opinion solution is like, just refund each player with in games credit.

remember that operation Goliath?

its has many player that didn't receive the pack.

so we need to contact the EA live chat and, they give us that pack very quick.

they can just give us a redeem code or whatever,

must of bugged players has been complain here, so its very easy to check.

for those that didn't come here to complain any thing, just call it bad luck then.

,,, and so its many many solution if they really want to do any thing.

I hate that the two issues seem to be bleeding into each other. I can't figure out if people are still getting everything relocked after they claimed to fix it, or if people are just crying about the spent credits and got nothing server connection issue.

I have the solution: Bioware makes a list of users who experienced the issue and give them double credits for a week. SOLVED CALL CLOSED

Afaik relocks not happening anymore.

So your solution is to double credit gain for one week for those who lost equips that they were working on for several weeks and evens spent BW points on them. Makes sense.

I've lost about 250k credits to errors of sorts, I know 3 for spectre packs, and a few others on randoms.

So, I talked to the live help again, they have records on how many items we bought, at least when it comes to BW points. They also know how many points were charged(surprise surprise) and that there is this problem, but they still won't charge them back.
Long story short, I was told to wait again, with no additional relevant information.
I also asked them to contact BW and tell them to write something here (seems a bit naive, but worth a try :) :))

Edit: I also checked "My Cases" on EA help page. Interestingly, all the previous cases were closed (without me knowing anything or getting any solution).

so almost 3 weeks went by and we didnt get jack....
I call BS here. the party is over. We can all go home, we aren't getting out stuff back. Even if they will give your items back, lets say a month later, are you still gonna play? or more likely ppl will move on to something else.
