Who did you contact to get put on that list?  I havent done anything besides post here atm.  Waiting on instructions to be posted but that seems fruitless

In their defense, this is sort of a weird bug. It's not exactly like they're dicking around going into menus in the middle of testing, etc. I think when things are tested they do it a lot methodically, and less chaotic, or they just check it in local environments, etc. just a guess, could be wrong. I mean, I've spent probably 10 - 15 hours in Multiplayer and it only happened to be once very early on because I went into the store at the 1 second mark when we were all ready. Since then I haven't had any issues, but I haven't been menu hopping after hitting Ready.

I work as a software engineer myself. While I can imagine this kind of bug is hard to find and/or fix, I don't understand your comments about testing at all. Normally developers aren't allowed to perform the manual testing precisely because they know how things are supposed to work and they do what they programmed the software to handle in the way that is most likely to work. On the other hand, a good tester will do something entirely different, like unplug something in the middle of everything or enter that store menu 1 second before the timer reaches 0.

Now I'm not saying it's easy to test something like this 100%. It really isn't. But that's not a good excuse.

Still hoping they'll fix it even though it's the weekend already. The bug is causing people to lose their progress now, and on the first weekend after the game was released, that's just catastrophic.

I sent a PM to a Mod named Chris Buzon. He posted in a thread saying to send him a PM with my Name and Email. Not sure if that is why i got a response, but IF it is i suggest people spam is Inbox so we can get this fixed Sooner rather then later.

I got the email as well. I went through the "get an EA rep to call you!" thing on the customer service page.

He was great, and put me through to the Developer help desk. Honestly, this situation sucks, but I cant fault the customer service oddly enough. (cept the retarded IM help desk which seems to try to be as unhelpful and enraging as possible)

Well, just lost all my stuff and now when I try to buy packs it fails, so I can't really play at all.

Have they said anywhere what they're going to do for people affected? Rollback? Compensation? A pat on the head?

Matters can get even worse lol, i've just made a topic with a warning...there might be situations where you buy points ingame but you don't get them added to your account at all.

A couple of days ago I also had the rollback happen to me. I do believe that the store menu was open when the game started. Directly after finishing the round, (but still during the loading screen), I got the menu for the "Starter pack" and "BF3 pack". My characters kept their level, but I lost the unlocked characters, weapon mods, and weapons that I had  previously owned. My credits remained the same.

To be honest, i don't think they will run around and fix the problem unless some big game sites start reporting the problemmm "People being scammed out of their money by EA" or something along those lines. It's negative publicity which gets them going, the time that companies care about their customers is long gone i guess.

**just had a frustrating live chat for help hehe**

What do you mean no answer? They stated in this thread that they're trying to fix it, and Chris Priestly mentioned that in the meantime, just make sure you don't go to the store while you're Ready.

Doesnt matter, they should reimbuse us the points or something instantly, just not leave us hanging for days... how hard can it be to just look at the data, and reunlock what is now locked?

I lost the Carnifex, a Geth Plasma Shotgun, and a bunch of mods/characters. (Tho' not really any that I wanted, like the Krogan Soldier).

Word of warning: If the N7 page shows up, DON'T TAKE THE STARTER PACK. Just close the game. Taking the starter pack causes the bug.

Edit: This may not be accurate, since the starter pack showing up may just be a symptom of having your account reset. But why take the chance?

I know this is relatively old, in terms of thread length, but I wanted to add my experience to this:

I saw the first effects of this bug when I got into a match and had zero consumables. No survival packs, no medi-gel, no missiles, no instant reloads. I didn't know why that was the case. I mean, I tend to use consumables every match, but I had a fairly large stockpile. Once I got out of the match, I got the popup for the starter pack.

This tells me the bug kicked in before the match started, but after the previous match ended (I had full consumables then) and I do not think that taking the starter pack would have changed anything.

I lost the Asari Vanguard, Turian Soldier, Quarian Infiltrator, arc pistol, phaeston, and several other weapons. I was able to continue playing my Asari Vanguard as long as I didn't swap out, and if I didn't go into the weapon screen, I would keep my weapons (I found this out by losing them by going into the weapon screen, however).

I played some more after everything was locked and received two more Asari Vanguard unlocks, but the whole experience has still left a bitter taste. Multiplayer feels very gear dependent to me, and losing my gear just leaves me with basic weapons that take entire magazines to kill enemies. And it's not the points that I miss out on by not killing much, it's that spending two or three magazines to take down a brute (for example) is frustrating and tedious.

Damn, I hope BioWare can fix this.

BUT I am wandering if they can fix the bug, can they recover our assets unlocked before?

or just fix the bug without recovering items we unlocked before the bug?

I already see it coming. Some cheap excuse like "we are very sorry for the inconvenience this glitch has caused blabla". BUT THANKS FOR YOUR MONEY ANYWAY. Instead of fixing the problem they will happily count their income on monday. And then maybe slowly work towards a solution. Awesome for all players getting ripped off in the meantime isn't it.

I'm not paranoid but seeing how buggy this whole thing is I'd say we are better off ignoring the mp part completely -even after they fixed this. I mean who guarantees you some other glitch doesn't appear out of nowhere? Imo it's not just a single problem but a whole bunch of them.

When you charge people money for a service you need to be 100% sure the stuff is WORKING. No matter how greedy you are. Having paying customers as beta testers is a DISGRACE.

I spent a spare 360 bioware points on some spectre cases and played the multiplayer for a good 2 hours. I added a few good couple of weapons.....

Then it comes up with the starter pack in the store and I thought "this is strange". Then go to my weapons and find I have none.

Bioware I want my 360 Bioware points back.

Lost all my weapons and mods 2 days ago and haven't been on multiplayer since. I was hoping the problem would be fixed and everything reimbursed but I guess that was too much to hope for.

here is my response to your letter from EA

Hello

I am contacting you to tell you that I found another way to reduce the chance of this happening again:

No longer buying or supporting another EA game.

Thank you for your patience.

I haven't touched multiplayer since I lost all of my items either.

$30 now gone. Hopefully they can recover what I lost, or reimburse me.

Same happened to me. I have a rather big stockpile and suddenly nothing was available. Then I got the N7 screen when leaving match. I do hope I get my stuff back to how it was earlier today or my Bioware points reimbursed.
Haven't contacted EA support, because by reading threads here, it seems they tell you to contact Bioware support, which I have done by posting both here and in PC Technical Support forums.
