This is her account of the incident:
"I lost all of my multiplayer rewards on the early morning of March 10 and I can confirm that my case had nothing to do with accessing the in-game store. My game abruptly stopped playing during wave 11 of a multiplayer match and a message appeared to inform me that Origin is currently down. I did not lose my internet connection during nor was I doing anything else with my computer while playing the match. Perhaps unrelatedly, my teammate disconnected mere moments before I received this error message. He had no issues reconnecting but when I next logged in I was greeted by a welcome to multiplayer message and a new starter pack. I soon discovered that all my other acquired multiplayer rewards gone. I do not plan to play mutliplayer matches again until the issue is resolved, especially since it isn't just a matter of avoiding the in-game store immediately prior to matches." - Wozlynn
I am the teammate she mentions that disconnected before her. We are both hesitant to play Multiplayer until this issue is resolved.

I'm posting here for a friend, her Origin account is Wozlynn. She also had this problem. All of her characters, weapons, and mods are gone. She plays the PC version of ME3.

Oh wow, that's even scarier. Especially if Origin randomly crashes or the EA servers go down... :-/ Talk about a terrible bug. I think they need to entirely rewrite how the game detects unlocks.

I'm done with the multiplayer unless this is fixed and my progression is refunded or reimbursed, and I'm advising everyone else to as well.

Anyway I wasn't hit by the bug yet as I discovered this thread soon enough to stay away from multiplayer. I just logged in one last time to check my gear: fully upgraded Arc Pistol X & Quarian Engineer with all appearance options still available... and I paid for some spectre packs too. I won't risk anything until 2-3 months have passed. I mean its no drama for me if I lose it... but in this case EA won't see money from me again that's for sure. I hope you people think the same!
Keep up the pressure and you will get your lost bw points back. My anger about this can't be described in words (but I keep trying!)

I was told to post about it on the forums and then had the conversation abruptly ended. Top notch support team!
Fortunately my bank was very understanding about my nerdy dillemna.

The tricky part with EA is they don't let you spend your money directly on those spectre packs. You paid for the points actually. So you exchanged a product owned by EA to another product owned by EA...

Let's not be silly, you aren't going to sue them for your bioware points, but it WOULD be nice to get a solution to this ASAP and some redemption for what was lost.
Why couldn't we? EA/Bioware is acquiring illegal funds based on the fact that the product we payed for is being lost because of their incompetence.
If there's no compensation, then screw em. Especially considering that it's been days and not a single response has come down the pike except "we know it's happening". That's not a promise to refund us or compensate us, it's a vague "We have a dude bug testing this in his off time" as they still are accepting Bio points for unlocks. Pathetic and shady business practices don't deserve patience imo.
Look, I agree with you, but you aren't going to hire a lawyer to sue EA over 20 dollars of Bioware points. I want a fix just as much as you, but don't posture and beat your chest about it with more or less idle threats for legal action if they don't fix it.
That said, Bioware is a standup company - they'll make it right. I bet you all your bioware points they're able to restore everyone's accounts without much issue.

Happende to me now also. Came out of a match (results-screen with xp, credits and stuff) and suddenly got the message that i am invited to the n7squad like you do when you first start mp.

Exactly how it happened to me.

@swarm242 let me know if you got your money back. There is really no reason to be ashamed for what you made a transaction for. Nerdy oh well. There are a ton of people who spend their cash on hookers I heard.

This is my point exactly. You traded real money for the electronic equivalent of game tokens at an arcade. If the local arcade goes out of business, they owner isn't required to refund your money for unused tokens or tokens that a game ate. I mean, it would be nice of them to refund you for any tokens that a game ate, but legally, you aren't owed anything.
I'm mad about this, as well, but we have an awful lot og teenage lawyers in here pounding their fists about legal action and ready to riot in their parents' basements about this. Instead of making threats you'd never even attempt to make good on (and you'd fail if you did), keep up the volume and letting them know your displeasure in their product until they do something to make it right, but remember. they don't LEGALLY owe you anything. Read your EULA next time... that document you just click Accept on without reading because it's long.
The whole idea of reversing credit card charges might work. actually, depending on your credit card company. If they ask a lot of questions about it, chances are you will lose that one too, though, as again, you aren't legally entitled to anything from this. Still. they have leverage and might be able to help you.
Think about this, though. If you refute the charges and win and bioware does do a refund type thing, you're getting all your points back, and your money. While I'd like that just as much as anyone (yay, free points!), what's their incentive to fix your problem, then?
In short, just chill out and keep up the pressure, but don't be stupid about it.
