I can't complete the quest. The Ign guide says that the item needed can be bought at the Spectre Requisitions Office, but all I have listed there are three different weapons.

Please help.

You have to complete the N7 Mission on Noveria before the item can be unlocked in the Spectre office, however that is only if you don't find and pick it up during the mission itself so look around for it when you get that mission.

Oh ok, the IGN guide i used missed the item and reported that you had to buy it at the shop.
