Woah woah, mate. You got "This is for Thane?" I got "This is for Miranda"
I guess it changes if you get Miranda t survive and Kai kills Thane instead of his disease.

And that was before he was enhanced with Reaper tech. Leng should have been god mode supreme.

Yeh, well, Shepard headbutt a Krogan, killed a thresher maw, and took down a reaper. I'd say it turned out the way it should of

I simply couldn't understand why they didn't even bother to make sure he was dead (from a gut-wound to a highly skilled, highly determined, extremely high-tech-clad, Reaper-tech enhanced former-N7 operative...), or why EVERYONE was conveniently and completely ignoring 90% of the room.
So that this interrupt could exist. Definitely worth it.
.
Anyway, Kai Leng can kill Thane, Miranda, anyone more?

I can't remember what mine said, but Leng neither killed Thane or Miranda in my playthroughs, so...?

I have to ask how he kills Miranda (or both)? Thane was killed by him, but Miranda was fine.

But, yes, that was sweet justice for Thane. And, for you, as well, as it's insinuated pretty strongly that Kai Leng is basically brought back to life using the knowledge gained bringing you back to life, so you, the prototype, end up with the last laugh.

I thought the interrupt was all right, but I'd rather have had an interrupt earlier in the game when Kai Leng was trying to kill the council. Seriously, what kind of renegade Shep tells an assassin to surrender because he's surrounded, rather than shoot him in the head? I thought that was the entire point of being a Renegade, to shoot first when situations dictate.
The same Shep that was too sissy to shoot Eva on Mars, even when she starts to slam your (possibly) love interest's head around. I totally loled at that one. Anderson was right. Shep got soft on his/her downtime.

I think Shepard was hoping Kai Leng could divulge intel on Cerberus, actually.

Four reapers. Three of them on foot.

Wait, how the hell can you have him not kill Thane? The cutscene just played out for me, with me having no role in it?
I assume if you dont visit him on the citadel, he wont interrupt Kai when he tries to kill the council-member-person-thing...thats my best guess.
And yea...This is for thane and miranda...one of the better parts of the game imo.

I'd like to know this as well, is it possible for Thane to die naturally (or undeterminantly)? o _O
I also got the "This is for Thane" bit in my game (nothing about Miranda, she was alive and kicking in my game).
Sweet justice, even as a Renegade interrupt. I was tired of his immortality BS anyway. So stupid, I hate "bosses" like that. Especially one as lame as him. I like what Garrus says, I believe towards the Phantoms, something like "Leave it to Cerberus to bring a knife to a gun fight." Even if they can OHKO you. XD
Kai Leng got what he deserved, beating on and subsequently killing poor, mostly defenseless Thane. For me it happened right after the bit with Mordin which already had me riled up. I was waiting the entire game to finally put that 'effer in the ground.

He's a jerk.

Obvious spoilers if you're unaware of the character. Though, you may just be unfamiliar with his name.
But no, he's not a squad member.
ETA: The wiki on Kai Leng explains the details of the Thane thing. Apparently it'll either be Thane or Kirrahe depending on if you met with Thane or not. Since he was my Shep's LI of course I met him right away.
But Kirrahe is one of my favourites also so it's a tough call. . .

It would have played out a lot better if he hadn't been panting so loudly, making me roll my eyes at how no one seemed to notice him in that utterly quiet room.
I have to assume they knew he was coming, and Shep was just playing with him, giving Kai Leng some false hope just to brutally snatch it away at the last second.

That's what I thought, too. XD
At first I was like OK maybe they can't hear him getting up, then when he used the sword as support and it made the CLINK I was like OK come on guys. Followed by him slowly walking and breathing so hard I was practically loling.
Eventually, when Shepard was basically like <_< before the interrupt, I was like awwww yeah FINALLY.

II actually loved that bit. Was the perfect balance of "Alright, so Thane has to lose for emotional effect" and "But so help me, he'll do it in style". I thought that, given Thane's crippling medical condition, he was incredibly far from defenceless
