So I read somewhere that supposedly there's a combo once you freeze something and then use throw...  I'm assuming it's like Cryo + Concussive shot where it shatters them? 

And if so, do you have to have the Force upgrade to throw to do it, or can you have the AoE upgrade?

Any direct damage skill that kills the enemy outright while they're under the effect of cryo will trigger the combo and create an AOE cryo explosion.

incinerate is best for that.
