The cinematic isn't terrible. Neither are the choices. The lack of any sort of closure is what's killing most people. I played three games over the course of five years getting to know and growing attached to these characters, and all we get is them landing on some distant jungle planet, cut off from the rest of the galaxy (since the mass relays blew up). How is that the proper ending to one of the most immersive RPGs ever created?
Oh, and we don't even know if everyone survived either. In this one, you see Joker, EDI, and Liara. I chose the 'Destroy' ending, and saw Joker, Liara, and Garrus (even though Garrus was with me when I rushed the Conduit. He's supposed to be dead since you can hear someone say clearly "there are no survivors").

Yeah, I think the lack of closure on what happens to everyone after this is what is pissing off most people.
And on the survivors that step out of teh Normandy, I think that is bugged or something because it shouldn't be picking people that weren't on the Normandy at the end.
