There's a lot more to come, believe me. Another one of the ME2 squadmates who I absolutely admire and adore made me shed manly tears. I won't spoil it, because these things have more impact if you don't know it's coming.
But it is.

And I don't get why people are complaining over his death. It's a fitting end for his character arc and a great reminder why we love that stupid cloaca in the first place.
Farewell, Scientist Salarian.

Mordin's sacrifice was awesome. Truly one of the more heartfelt exits for one of your squadmates.

Farewell, Scientist Salarian.
They complain because they want him to live.
I don't blame them honestly...

I can understand why people are disappointed with some sad bits like Mordin dying. But I think it's a bit silly to expect everyone and everything to survive the Reaper apocalyse. =P
The fact that you can't save everyone, and that there are sacrifices made, in my mind makes the story much better. Shepard is a hero, sure, and it's great to play the hero, yes, but it puts things in perspective when he can't save everyone.
But to each his/her own. =)

And I will admit, this is the only scene in any video game that has brought me to tears. Extremely well done.

Towards the end of the game when talking to Miranda and Jacob via the comms station before the final advance, I thought of that guy on Horizon from ME2.
"All the good people we lost, and you get left behind. Figures."
XD My exact feelings once all my favourites started dropping like flies (I lost Mordin, Thane and Legion almost back to back. A few missions in between of course.).
I can understand why people are disappointed with some sad bits like Mordin dying. But I think it's a bit silly to expect everyone and everything to survive the Reaper apocalyse.
As mad as I was, at the time I attributed it to being necessary. But then when Thane and Legion died I felt like I was doing something wrong because they were my top three favourites. I was like WHAT is going on?! XD I get there are casualties but my gosh. . .
And when it got to Samara and Grunt I thought, "Why in the heck can we save them from dying, but not the others? Why aren't they driven by necessity to die."
I'm not arguing with you, but I believe if some are given the opportunity, the others should as well. Maybe they can be saved and I just haven't seen the proper decision paths yet. But as far as I know, my favourite Salarian is dead.
Poor Mordin. At least he died like a boss.

Oh I understand completely. In fact I think its a brilliant moment because of the choice and implications given; a sort of Star Trek moment where Spock sacrificed himself to save people in the Wrath of Kahn. Mordin did it to save the Galaxy.
It is hard to take becausr you are such a fan of the character.

In ME1 you had Wrex, who explained in great detail why the genophage was wrong and how the future of the Krogan race was at stake. In ME2 you got Mordin who explained the reasons behind genophage. You got both sides of the story by two very likeable character and you also had the chance to see the ruined Krogan homeworld and got all the necessary background info to understand its importance and the possible risks of curing them.
In ME3 they raised the stakes. Your principles, friendships, the future of the Krogan, the future of the entire galaxy (getting the salarian help) were put on the line. Even the small details were perfectly put together to build up the pressure. Mordin’s obsession, Wrex’s devotion, hell, even the Krogan female asked you multiple times if there was anything wrong.
And the slow-motion renegade cutscene...perfect.
As you can guess I shot Mordin, and after watching his death scene I felt devastated, empty. I betrayed everything I believed in for the „big picture”. It was epic, thats what I call 10/10 scoring.

This moment shouldn't be cut, removed, Mordin shouldn't have a chance to survive. Not to waste this moment.
