And I thought I was the only one. =(

There's a lot more to come, believe me. Another one of the ME2 squadmates who I absolutely admire and adore made me shed manly tears. I won't spoil it, because these things have more impact if you don't know it's coming.

But it is.

The worst part for me was that if you listen closely while he's singing to himself, you can hear his voice quiver with fear a bit. That made me tear up for a second.

Mordin's sacrifice was awesome. Truly one of the more heartfelt exits for one of your squadmates.

And I don't get why people are complaining over his death. It's a fitting end for his character arc and a great reminder why we love that stupid cloaca in the first place.

Farewell, Scientist Salarian.

They complain because they want him to live.

I don't blame them honestly...

I cried during the Mordin mission, teared up a bit during Grunt's mission, I cried at the end of the Quarian/Geth war and wept openly at the ending. Not because it was bad, but because it was really good, in my opinion. So... yeah. And I'm not ashamed to admit it. In certain company.

I can understand why people are disappointed with some sad bits like Mordin dying. But I think it's a bit silly to expect everyone and everything to survive the Reaper apocalyse. =P

The fact that you can't save everyone, and that there are sacrifices made, in my mind makes the story much better. Shepard is a hero, sure, and it's great to play the hero, yes, but it puts things in perspective when he can't save everyone.

But to each his/her own. =)

Mordin's and Legion's sacrifices are so saddening for me that I nearly cried. I mentioned Legion because I got peace between the Quarians and Geth.

guess I need to do a paragon save to see what most people are saying, although the renegade one is pretty sad too

Mordin can apparently live. Wrex has to be dead as does Eve with the Genophage data destroyed, on my second run will do this.

The Scientist Salarian held the line. May he rest in peace.

And I will admit, this is the only scene in any video game that has brought me to tears. Extremely well done.

I won't lie. I bawled like a baby when Mordin died. He was my favourite character in the entire series and I was looking forward to seeing him again. When that happened I just could not believe it. That entire scene made me forget about how irritated I was by his voice.

Towards the end of the game when talking to Miranda and Jacob via the comms station before the final advance, I thought of that guy on Horizon from ME2.

"All the good people we lost, and you get left behind. Figures."

XD My exact feelings once all my favourites started dropping like flies (I lost Mordin, Thane and Legion almost back to back. A few missions in between of course.).

I can understand why people are disappointed with some sad bits like Mordin dying. But I think it's a bit silly to expect everyone and everything to survive the Reaper apocalyse.

As mad as I was, at the time I attributed it to being necessary. But then when Thane and Legion died I felt like I was doing something wrong because they were my top three favourites. I was like WHAT is going on?! XD I get there are casualties but my gosh. . .

And when it got to Samara and Grunt I thought, "Why in the heck can we save them from dying, but not the others? Why aren't they driven by necessity to die."

I'm not arguing with you, but I believe if some are given the opportunity, the others should as well. Maybe they can be saved and I just haven't seen the proper decision paths yet. But as far as I know, my favourite Salarian is dead.

Poor Mordin. At least he died like a boss.

Oh I understand completely. In fact I think its a brilliant moment because of the choice and implications given; a sort of Star Trek moment where Spock sacrificed himself to save people in the Wrath of Kahn. Mordin did it to save the Galaxy.

It is hard to take becausr you are such a fan of the character.

This was the first scene in any video game, ever, where I've cried my eyes out over a character dying. I loved Mordin, he was my favourite character in ME2 and his death was so heartwrenching, and brilliantly written. Well done Bioware and RIP, Scientist Salarian :(

Without a doubt this is the best part of ME3 especially if you played as a paragon. Let me explain why.

In ME1 you had Wrex, who explained in great detail why the genophage was wrong and how the future of the Krogan race was at stake. In ME2 you got Mordin who explained the reasons behind genophage. You got both sides of the story by two very likeable character and you also had the chance to see the ruined Krogan homeworld and got all the necessary background info to understand its importance and the possible risks of curing them.

In ME3 they raised the stakes. Your principles, friendships, the future of the Krogan, the future of the entire galaxy (getting the salarian help) were put on the line. Even the small details were perfectly put together to build up the pressure. Mordin’s obsession, Wrex’s devotion, hell, even the Krogan female asked you multiple times if there was anything wrong.

And the slow-motion renegade cutscene...perfect.

As you can guess I shot Mordin, and after watching his death scene I felt devastated, empty. I betrayed everything I believed in for the „big picture”. It was epic, thats what I call 10/10 scoring.

This is one of the best moments of Mass Effect 3. Mordin's sacrifice is something that causes real feelings unlike ending.

This moment shouldn't be cut, removed, Mordin shouldn't have a chance to survive. Not to waste this moment.
