I am having an issue with my audio.
My conversations keep fading out. I hear Shepard responding to things I didnt hear anyone say, or people will talk and halfway through the sentence nothing can be heard anymore.
Ideas?

ME 1, ME2, and now ME3 all do this to me. Not game breaking, but really annoying. Especially since it's persisted across all 3 games.
Also animations/movement sometimes appears to completely skip any kind of animation and just snaps into place. Also persisted thru all 3 games.

I have the same problem, this didn't happen to me with ME1 or 2.For some reason conversations fade from time to time.Sometimes I can't hear whole sentences(I have subtitles on),sometimes it fades after someone starts speaking and sometimes it fades in after a couple of words.
I have the newest soundcard drivers installed.

Same here.
Tried various sound/volume settings. Only watched the intro (Vancouver) a few times. Conversations get overlayed by music and sound effects the more the intro progresses. Even at 100% dialogue and 20/10 sound/music. Too much echoing in the courtroom.
Just turned on subtitles... thats the only way to notice Hackets and Andersons lines during intro. Both actors were completely silent with above settings.
Guess i´ll wait for a fix.

Ran the Config... turns out my stereo headphones were listed as 7.1 surround..... Changed the configuration to stereo, sound issue fixed. Well, for me at least.

At least in the German version of the game there seems to be some problems with sound mixing. Somehow it seems that specific "sound types" (effects/music/voice) change volume randomly during gameplay. Sometimes weapons effects are not loud loud enough, sometimes voices are not loud enough, etc. I have all sound settings set to 100% and tried different settings (volume/dynamic sound, etc.) but it doesn't seem to help.
