Yep, having the same problem with this quest too. After starting it I could go to the 1st terminal in the embassy district and use it just fine. However, after using it the terminal still stayed highlighted, but I couldn't interact with it anymore. Another post said to go do the Grissom Academy quest and come back and upon doing that the terminal was no longer highlighted, but I still didn't notice any other lead on the quest. I found the terminal in the Refugee area, which somebody mentioned is the next one to hit, and even though it's listed on my map in blue as a place of interest, I can not interact with it. I don't even have a blue diamond indicating it's location.

Also bugged out for me. I'm currently doing two play throughs, Soldier and Infiltrator.

On my Soldier, everything worked fine. On my Inf, the first terminal is inert. I can see it by hitting the key for quest objectives, but no red ring.

Well I finally made it thru the mission but with a 2nd toon I imported (one of my original Sheps created in ME1, importedt to ME2 and then 3 with his face intact I might add but only after using the fan made "fix" posted by bioware). This toon didn't have Kasumi in ME2 as I picked her up later down the road.

I also made a point of not taking any more quests or interacting with anyone other then the terminals and finished it in one shot in about 10 mins. So... no Kasumi, start quest and finish it unmolested by other interaction. Those are the only things that stand out to me as different from my first attempt with either or both contributing to it working.

For what it's worth.

OK - does anyone know when this will be fixed and more important: is the quest completion necessary for the best ending? :( Or is it just for completionists? HEEELP!

So I just have to skip a quest that has influence over the ending of the game, thanks to BioWare's laziness?

Thanks Bioware!

I'm not going back in the game to when I first got the quest. I've already done too much main quests to even bother doing them all over again!

I managed to complete it but the waypoints were wrong, either not going away or otherwise. I quickly found a walkthrough for it that explained that I had to go to the dock elevator (option 2 on the elevator I think) after activating the one in the Citadel Presidium area. And then to the end of that hallway, and turn right and go to the end of that area past the shipping containers with all the refugees, and on the far wall there's another terminal, hit it and go back to the one before the elevator again and hit it. Then you go back up to the presidium area.

I hope this helps someone. Sorry if I didn't use proper terminology, I did it about 3 days ago and with the memory of a goldfish, I'm lucky I got that far. :) <3

Same here. Only the first terminal worked just outside the hanar's window in the embassies.

Clicked the red circle. Nothing else showed up in the citadel.

They never fixed one of the side mission completion in ME2 and that would have taken far less work. Doubtful they'll get to this one.

well then add my name to the list. I somehow was able to activate the first terminal BEFORE enabling SPECTRE stalking procedures, and after that no more terminals were avaible.

Yep, you know, this quest is as useful as ****** on a hanar --'    LOL'D!!

I'm still debating on whether I should start from Sur'Kesh again (I had already done several Tuchanka missions and several side-quests) or not. That also means I have to redo 10 hours of work I had done today. On the other hand, seeing the word "Terminal" on my map is literally pissing me off and driving me insane! It's annoying!

But I need those dang war assets!!

Bah, I really hope BioWare fixes this soon, together with the face import and connectivitiy issues.

I'm glad I use the QuickSave option. There's a lesson to be learned here, folks.

Good for you! Sorry that I'm not as smart as you are!

Look, I'm a little angry because of all the issues I've encountered so far. First the face import issue, then the connection issue with the ME3 servers. And now this!
All I want is this issue to be fixed. I don't want to have to redo all my work again because of some oversight.

Edit:
And now I'm suffering from another bug! I haven't got all the Resistance Movement intel and now that stupid quest is stuck in my journal as well!
Hello, BioWare? Ever heard of Auto-Failure?!

This quest is important in that it will give you War Assets upon completion. The exact order of terminals following the start of the quest is Spectre room/terminal, Terminal at the Embassy Lounge (across and to the left of the elevator), Docks Holding area (right when you exit the elevator) then go right to the end of the area and a terminal will be there. Then you go back to the one by the Docks Holding elevator and finally proceed back to the 1st terminal at the Embassy Lounge.

Trying to keep it simple and not reveal anything. But that order is correct. The Mass Effect wiki does confirm that starting any other quest after receiving this one will cause it to bug.

Horrible. I have tons of saves but I don’t know which one to load since you don’t get to name your saves in this game (!).

In threads like this, Bioware should post the real consequences of not doing these quests. That would be respectful to customers.

Sadly, but I have the same problem with Hanar Diplomat Quest, sometimes I doubt that this game has undergone some real tests before launch...

Yeah, one bug in a massive game... they mustn't have tested it at all. That was sarcasm. Let's not overreact here - yeah, it's irritating, but if it's the only bug in a game this size, it's a miracle.

For anyone wondering if they can play on while waiting for a patch to fix this without failing the quest, according to IGN, "This mission must be completed before Priority: Tuchanka 2". Sounds like you can play on as long as you don't go that far.

I agree it's annoying but it will not ruin the game for anyone. That is, unless they stop playing all on their own. There are several ways to deal with it but stopping or suffering a miserable existence because 1 quest is in limbo is a bit of overkill. Don't you think? I would also state that the fact we can't import our Sheps with custom faces that we used in ME1 and ME2 is something that would actually ruin the game for some people. This bug shouldn't. It can be worked around if it means that much to you. Your choices are basically a 2nd playthrough, reverting to an earlier save or just abandoning the current Shep and starting over, all the while paying attention to the steps needed to complete this quest. Are these good solutions? Not really but they are all that's available until they patch it.

I've learned how to finish this quest with both ways ( have kasumi, don't have kasumi) It appears you cant do any other quest or stop and restart the game. grab the quest and directly do it before getting involved in another quest. also the waypoints are bugged. you have to search around on multiple levels to get it to update. from what I remember it's embassy, docks, embassy, docks, then back to embassy. if I remember correctly. I hope this helps.

This mission involves story, so I would consider it's priority being fixed greater. If it cant be completed we miss out on a portion of the games story. No one is honestly missing out by not using a custom face that's purely cosmetic and having no effect on story telling. Anyway I would like to see both addressed and fixed in the next patch.

They have much larger problems at this time. I am also reading around of people having issue with USB headsets like my post on this board. They may fix it or not, but it will take a few weeks as they are having huge issues people who can't even start the game or import.

Yes it involves story. It is something I wanted to see so I did make the effort to get it to work. The actual story arc w/Kasumi is more important to me although when I did get it to work my saved Shep didnt have access to her. The face thing though is a HUGE issue for people, unless they are playing default Shep. Are you telling me 10 mins of a quest story is worth more then seeing and using my Shepard that I have had for these last 3 games? It's called game immersion and if I had to use a different faced Shep that would be a real deal-breaker for me. I fortunately read up on it and imported my ME1/ME2 Shep and was able to generate a facecode for him and with some slight tweaking my Shep is MY Shep. I think that problem beats this one hands down but I do agree that both should be addressed.
