Yeah, just tried to log into the game, and I get this message.

Since I can't log in, I can't authenticate my DLC.  Which, in turn, means I can't play, because my save file includes From Ashes.

Apparently, if you can't log in to the game server, you can't play, because the game has to check every time you load to authenticate the DLC.  So what the hell am I supposed to do while the server is down, and why is there no official notice, information on when it will be up, etcetera?

I have this problem too, my internet wont sync or whatever, luckily I havent started playing yet but I cant even log in, it just says the servers are down :/

I'm not sure if it is a problem on my end or EA's end.

That is screwy. I was able to play with DLC on ME2 when I had no internet connection... I wonder what was changed?  I doubt it's on your end, because I'm getting the problem too.

Something tells me that it's maintenance/patching of the multiplayer features.  I've seen a few glitches and texture bugs with the quarian engineer's turret, but if I've seen them, hundereds of others have too.

Okay, this is so not right. Why do we have to have dlc checked every single time we play? I can unserstand if we have new content that needs to be checked...but it is not right that we can not play if the server is down and we can not load a saved game. After paying 80 bucks for the single player game, I should be able to sit down and play when ever I want to and not be at the mercy of a server.

Down for me. Can't play the game as DLC ca't be validated. I bought it today, Collector's Edition, and now I ca't play a game I've just bought due to a problem that is nothing to do with me.

Is that fair?

Yeah, can't say I'm thrilled by this. One time authentication for DLC should be sufficient. Not being able to play because I spent extra on the Collector's Edition, uncool to say the least.

Any word on the duration of the outage or if it is planned/unplanned?

Exiting and relaunching Origin worked for me.
