not that I was expecting something as detailed as DAO's epilogue, but I mean you get the same one no matter what? and none of it tells you what happened to your friends.....
yep thats it. Everyone is screwed and it cuts off there. regardless of your decisions or ending

Is just me or it seems that Bioware asked Obsidian to do the endings? I mean it is just like Kotor 2 and Fallout New Vegas...
It does seem like they asked someone else to do it. I mean the entire game is fantastic, then it gets to the endings and then the whole series is ruined due to a crappy conclusion.

You almost can't rule it out. The ending feels so... out of place. Rushed. Like it wasn't really thought through, at all.

Or an awesome one. Opinions, you know?
Everyone has a right to their own opinion. But the majority of people here seem to hate it.

Well, according the lead ME designer, the majority of the ME playerbase doesn't like RPG mechanics like stats and poring over numbers and formulaes and hundreds of items, so you'll excuse me if I don't put any stock in what the 'majority' think.

Even so, there's no harm in making happy endings for the people that want them. There's no reason to just make every ending depressing with all the characters either dead or stranded. And even if it is about hope, I haven't seen many people on here that are all happy. Most people I've talked to feel horrible about how it ended.

Yeah. I was LOVING it up until the climax (where TIM appeared). Then logic, common sense, and internal consistency went out the window, the entire series and IP was invalidated (not to mention every decision the player made), with absolutely ZERO closure or details to either the series before the climax (which is what ME has always been) or after the climax (where the IP, series, themes and everything else get thrown out the window). There are two short cutscenes--the first of which is absurdly vague and limited, and the second of which violates all notions of logic, common sense, lore, internal consistency, and storytelling...ugh. Then the epilogue, which is almost as nonsensical (the moon or planet in the background is huge...but the environment is so surreal and metaphorical it boggles me)...
I just can't even watch the best ME montages/videos because they just remind me of the pain, shock, dissapointment, depression (figuratively speaking), disillusionment and betrayal that I'm still feeling. The endings just completely contradict everything BioWare repeatedly said about the series, in addition to what was so great about the ME series/IP (not to mention its key themes, characteristics, etc.).
