 I've noticed that the far edges of the screen have a purple hue. This is very noticeable in bright or white areas. I have tested on both my LCD and Plasma and both have the same issue. No other games have this issue either. I'm on a 80 GB PS3 fat. Anyone else with this issue?

What's the over-scan situation like on your TVs? I noticed some games on my 360 have thin boarders around the edge if I play a game with my TV set to full pixel, but if I set it back to normal, there's a tiny little bit of over-scan an the boarders go away. It doesn't happen so often on my PS3, but I see it occasionally.

Have you checked the settings on your TV to see if you can tweak the over-scan/screen ratio at all?
