So I was just surfing the extranet, for a guide that lists the various possible endings in ME3. I came across this particular guide.

http://www.justpushs...-endings-guide/

So there is a way to save Shepard and Anderson. I am glad, it doesn't need to end too sadly. Enjoy the Guide and Cheers. (Disregard this if this link was in a past thread, and I apologize)

Anderson either dies immediately when executed by TIM, or gets shot and dies a few minutes later after an inspirational chat with Shepard. The latter option is considered "saving" him.

Good to know, at least you have a proper ending with him, instead of just leaving him there and running away.

I just wish there was a Blue ending where shep lives instead you have to choose the Red Ending and kill Edi and all the Geth to live and be with your LI. As a Paragon I'd never choose to do that. I've come to believe the Normandy crashes in a system near Sol cause they certainly didn't go through the Mass Relay before it blew. So they can easily get their communications working for a pick up.

So basically... you have to play mutli-player if you want to see Shep live? What kind of crap is that? Not everyone likes multi-player or wants to do it. This is supposed to be a single player game.. there should be no multiplayer requirement in order to get the ending you desire.

No you don't have to do MP.  If you save Anderson, you only need at least 4k assets (which is darn close to the max I beleve)

If you DON'T save Anderson, you need 5k, and THAT requires MP.

Yea the Normandy can't be that far out. Like...why would they go through a Mass Relay during all that in the first place, right? That would make no sense.

Well, if MP is not required... Id love to know where thow the heck you can get any of the other 5 endings it lists. I only have an option for 3.. all of them with Shep dead, And that is with a completely full War Assets bar.

We should be to save ALL life in the galaxy without sacrificing ourselves.

I dont understand where does it show your Galactic Readiness in the form of points? All I see is a percentage and mine is stuck at 50%, whereas my military strength is totally full at over 6,000 troops.

Go to the War Room on the Normandy and look at that console. It gives you your number.

Only way that percentage goes up is in Multiplayer or using some iPhone app. I'm not sure on that app part because I'm not an Apple iPhone Fanboi.

Nah, actually you can get this easily, even without Salarians and Quarians... I did it with absolutely no multiplayer in under 24 hours. (a lot of time wasted on citadel)

dracotamer wrote...

No! Without sacrifice there's no victory... also, if you choose Synergy you live in some way in every single living being on the galaxy... If you chose Liara as your LI, then you can satay in some way with her in the next maybe 900 years of her live instead of dying and let her alone

Yes, you don't need mutiplayer to get all three basic endings and save the earth.  You DO need multiplayer to get the 5,000 EMS to get the best ending though (in spite of the fact that BW said we didn't).

Ok, question: What ARE the differences to the endings based on whether you save or destroy the Collector Base? (haven't been able to find anything yet that explains what's different between the two)

Basically nothing. I think it might affect which options are available to you if you have really low readiness.

However, since all endings play out basically the same anyway, that hardly makes a difference.

Still missing something.

The touted NG+ "Secret ending". Anyone know what it is yet or attempting to get it?

I think a lot of the dislike over the endings is down to the fact that people are just selfish when it comes down to the decision that matters. Save myself? Or sacrifice myself so that everyone, everywhere will live in peace? It's why people didn't like the Matrix ending, because they can't fathom why someone would sacrifice them self, because in the end, they wouldn't do it...

But, everyone is free to their own opinion and if you dislike the ending, fine...your choice :P

I think you are misreading the outrage over the endings completely.  Most of us are fine with Shep having to die, but the WAY it is done makes everything that he (or she) has done to this point completely irrelevant.  It all comes down to a dysfunctional child AI having an irrational fear of a tech singularity which we KNOW is wrong because of EDI (and possibly the Geth), but Shep has one of these mysterious brain freezes and can't even get the innane AI to accept new data.

So in short, the endings all feel contrived and all feel like they were deliberately written to give the middle finger to all those that loved the Mass Effect universe (because without the relays there is no Mass Effect universe).  We aren't opposed to sacrifice (at least most of us aren't), and we aren't opposed to the possibility of having the effective universe end, but don't force it down out throat as the only option (and thus making replaying the game essentially pointless).

I'm not going to waste my time playing the game again.  I doubt there is a NG+ ending that gives us sugar and rainbows.

Not really sacrificing yourself per se, well not in the control ending.
You control reapers, they can do whatever the hell they want. You can talk through the reapers just like Harbringer did. You lose everyone that you know and everything you were, but in turn you become immortal through the reapers themselves.

Any threats to the galaxy, you can prevent with the reapers, any wars can be stopped by using the power of the reapers, and you can help rebuild everything using the reapers Tech that you saved by not destroying them.
